    So glad I found this album!I had been hearing "You Are" on the radio and finally heard mention of who was singing it, so I jotted a note down to find Colton Dixon. Then, I caught Angie Miller singing a song on American Idol that they said was Colton Dixon's and I put 2&2 together (haven't watched American Idol in the past, so I'm rather naiive about who's been on the show). Anyway, then I went onto Amazon, looked up Colton, previewed all the songs on the album, and realized I loved his voice, style, etc, and bought the album. Great choice! I look forward to hearing more from him.5Excellent!I Love this CD, A Messenger. I have listened to it every day since I purchased it (multiple times on several days).Colton sings from his heart and he has so much passion! As in the last song on the CD "Let Them See you" I do see, hear and feel the LORD through Colton.Colton definitely has a "different" look, which I think is absolutely awesome. Unlike most bands/artists, each of Colton's songs have a different sound and beat to them. They aren't all uniform like others are. "Noise" at the beginning of the set jumps out with its pounding drum & piano echoing a world far too busy for reflection of the Divine. Colton's voice reflects the desperation as he sings, "Everything is screaming out." "Scars" is such a beautiful track with the thundering parts juxtaposed by quieter moments, "Today is another day to learn from our mistakes, knowing that we're not forsaken." The chorus on "Rise" amazes with its hopeful message and Colton's vocals passionate & commanding. "Let Them See You" may be my favorite track on the set with its loving devotion rising in Colton's voice, "Let them see you in me." This is a CD that for me surpasses the promise I saw on American Idol. Enjoy!5Colton DixonHe didn't have to win American Idol to become a musical star and rather than becoming pop/rock artist that would make more money Colton holds true to his beliefs and gives glory to God (as it should be). To you he is the amazing voice and incredible piano man with a huge heart and spirit. His family just makes my heart sing.The sound, the words and the message penetrate your being and fill you with Gods love.You will love this album; buy two so you have one at home and one in the car.Cynthialynn Jones5Inspirational & motivating!Having seen this talented young man and his wife at a special concert at our church last Sunday-9-15-19- I was compelled to hear more. They are an inspiration and truly the Lord's own! I would recommend this to any Christian that loves worshipping through music. Dixon Colton and his beautiful wife Annie are truly a blessing to our times most especially as we need such devoted, talented people that appeal to all ages with their message! If possible, his cd "The Calm Before The Storm" was even more compelling. This is an artist that I will continue to follow and pray that they grace our church again with their gifts! I love energetic gospel but my tastes lean more toward styles from Israel Houghton, Bebe Winans, Darlene Z....(I forgot how to spell her name), Gateway Worship, & many others. But I really got into this one when I started using it to workout at the gym. Now it's one of my FAVS. Enjoy! God bless you!5A Messenger - Colton DixonA messenger is truly an amazing album. This Tennessee native style of singing is worship and he does an incredible job at it. When you're listening to his music you can't help but worship with his voice because it is so riveting and it gets to your core. As a believer, this album is a must but I also believe it will suit others as well because he is such a talented individual, the way he sounds in recording is how he sounds live and not many artists nowadays can pull that off!He was first heard in American Idol back in 2011 and made it to the final but got eliminated this also happened in 2012 and he wasn't going to audition in 2012 but the judges wanted him to perform so they put him through to Vegas and was also eliminated during the final which I can't understand why but with that experience he said it gave him a new perspective in his music which helped him produce his album. He is a really talented individual and I can't wait to buy his upcoming albums!5
