    Easy to work withWe used this sand for terrariums, sand was soft and easy to use, 5 lbs sounds like a lot but the bags small so it doesn t go a long way. 5This sand is brightly colored but very fine, almost powderyI needed some new sand for sand trays for my students. This sand is brightly colored but very fine, almost powdery. It works. It's fine and I can use it. But it does get everywhere and it sticks to everything. The packaging could use work. The plastic bag got a hole during shipping and some of the sand spilled out into the box and all over other things that were shipped in the same package. 3Really Black Sand!Beautiful, glistening black sand. One problem, some of it is so fine that it becomes air-borne. You need to pour it very slowly and carefully, and have a damp cloth to wipe up the drift. 4It's sand, who would have guessed?It's exactly what I needed, some nice clean white sand and yes it does have little black specks in it but those are fine- gives it character. I use it to keep fungus gnats from propagating in my potted plants. It works and looks nice!The reason I am withholding a star is because there is a hole in the bag. I saw a lot of people fussing about that, but I mean, who in their right mind opens something they know is going to contain sand on their bed? Amirite?The only thing that bothers me about the hole in the bag is that that the bag the sand comes in is somewhat thick, and rigid, and the hole in question is triangular in shape. Meaning it wasn't wear and tear from shipping, it was because someone punctured it.Please be more careful in the future. 4Great sand, very clean and did the job quite well.Thanks so much it was just what I needed the right amount and almost was enough but bought more plants and so I had to get another sack. It was so white just like the beaches at Gulf Shores. That is our home away from home. Our oldest now, soon to be 34 year old will have been going for all of those years at least one trip a year. She was 3 months old. 5Hole in bagI got this to make soap. I think I need something a little more coarse. The product would be great for its labeled purpose of decor. There was a hole in the bag so sand got everywhere during the unpacking process. They should definitely double bag this product. I weighed the bag to see how much was lost in transport. It wasn t much. The bag still weighed over 5 lbs. 4I mean...I ask so little out of an item like white sand.All I care about is that it be white, and that it be sand.Unfortunately, this sand was emphatically NOT white.OTOH, it was in fact sand, so I'll give a star for that. 2Crappy packageI have no idea how this product is because apparently the bag had a hole in it . there was sand all over the mail cartier's truck and now all over my table grrr. I purchased for a wedding I'm doing and now I have figure something else out because I'm out of time ...I'm sooo mad 1Sand EVERYWHERE!While the sand is perfect...it would've been better if it all stayed INSIDE the bag lolBoth bags that I had ordered had holes of different sizes. I shook what I could out into a Ziploc baggie but quite a bit ended up on my bed and floor. 1Should have listened to the shipping warningsI, too, received a box full of sand upon delivery. Lots of lost sand, some of the sand was in the bag, and much in the box and in the other items shipped in the same box. The bag had 4 holes in it, and there is no way that the other items in the box could have caused those holes. Unfortunately the green dye from the sand had rubbed off on the other items (hardcover children s books). Sand is very fine and would have been useful in my classroom. Would not even reorder/replace it, given the poor shipping experience. 2
