Customer Reviews

Savior of my neck!love this. Favorite feature is that the page holders can be put to use or moved out of your way (which will come in handy when you want to turn the page pretty often). Sturdy and built well. Such a great deal. I'm very pleased with this purchase and know it will benefit my neck not having to look down at my textbooks to take notes. It also fits just about any size book. my largest textbook was no problem!5Sturdy, easy to use!!I bought this for my college bio book that's 17 lbs. I always had a glare with it flat on a desk, bought a cheaper stand and it immediately collapsed under the weight of the book. This stand straight out of box was simple, and was put to the test, and passed with flying colors! Not only does it have different angle adjustments, but it quickly folds flat like a notebook. Goes with me to class so I can use it there too. Wish I had gotten this a few months earlier so I didn't have all the struggle and frustration. Just happy with this item!5A wonderful art easel!I bought this to use as an easel for painting. I work on a small scale, so I didn't need a standing easel or one that could accommodate large canvases. I WAS looking for something portable, however. There are many easels like this online - some are really bulky and include a drawer or two that can hold supplies, but I find that to be an unnecessary addition that reduces it's packability. With as many art supplies as I own, I need something that is space-saving, not bulky.Other easels seemed to be made poorly with wood that looked rough and possibly splinter-prone. This easel is smooth and well-made - no splinters! In fact, it would be pretty easy to clean with soap and water if you got paint on it. It also lays completely flat which is marvelous! I could put this in a tote bag when I'm painting outside or going to a class, or I could lay it flat on a shelf and hardly know it was there. If you're a person that likes to stand and paint, you might find this to be a bad choice. Plein-air painting would be difficult unless you plan on sitting somewhere. You could sit this on a table at home and paint while standing, but unless the table is high enough, you're in for some neck pain. It's worth purchasing, though, if you're new to painting and want something small to start out with, especially if you need it for an art class. As a side note, at most you could fit a 9x12 inch canvas or sketch pad on here before it loses its purpose as a functioning easel. Anything bigger and you'd have to hold onto your canvas while painting it so it doesn't tip, defeating the purpose.5Don't waste your moneyHorrible!1) the shipping box is barely bigger than the product with no padding. Every time the box is dented to is the product2) the easle is poorly constructed and was already cracked twice3) ordered a replacement, that too was severely damaged.4) it may be bamboo but it has a wood design paper adhered to the wood so it will eventually peel off.Picture 1: Former broken spot that was glued back together plus an additional new crackPicture 2: Circular cuts on the basePicture 3: Paper that covers wood peeling offPicture 4: Dented cornerPicture 5: Peeling, discoloration, uneven spacingPicture 6: Peeling, discoloration, uneven spacing of the bar for the book to rest onPicture 7: Horrible discoloration OUTSIDE WOOD PATTER IS PAPER NOT WOODPicture 8: Horrible peeling of the paper covering\NO NOT BUY!!!!1Solid and versatileBought this for using my 10.5" tablet while relaxing in bed and reading hard cover books. Will use outside too, if spring ever decides to stay. Like this one for the back bar that's used for the adjustable positions. The bar and corresponding grooves runs the whole length of the easel so won't "skip" to the next setting. The ledges hold my tablet with the cover on. It also holds the book I'm currently reading which measures 6.5" long x 9.5" high x 3" deep when closed. Completely portable. Folds to the size of a small cutting board. I thought it a little pricey until I looked at others which seemed to have less integrity. The positioning bar is what sold me5Very well made. This stand has been very helpful, it can hold my very heavy 425 to 630 page books. It has 3 recline setting and that is good to have. I even rest my cellphone on it while typing like I am doing right this minute. It says art table but really it can hold other items too. It is compact enough for me to carry it to school.5Holds My Super Giant Print BibleI just bought this and am using it to hold my super giant print Bible that has over 1700 pages. It fits fine and seems to be a sturdy design. It's so nice to not have to look down when reading for extended periods of time. My neck was starting to react in pain from doing so. The most upright position is very suitable for my needs. I can see the print easily. I just hope it lasts a long time. The finish is nice too.5Just what I was looking forThere are lots of uses for this table stand. It is very sturdy and has several angles that it can be placed in, and also two wooden hooks of sorts to hold onto what is placed on the item.On the one hand, I would have liked it to be a little lighter, but the heaviness also an advantage in that substantial items can be placed on it, with great results.Nothing but good things to say about the Napa Table, and the price is unbelievably affordable. Might even buy a second one.4great portable stand for the price.I needed something that was small and portable, since I work in an restaurant and need to pack up quick to save time. This works pretty well, and is sturdy enough to put drawings on (with a board), and draw at an angle, which will help my poor back. However, I found that with books, this stand wasn't the best, but it is decent. If you are at the beginning or end of a book, this stand design makes the books cover flop over, making it haRd to read unless you hold it. Otherwise, it's good for books, phones, tablets, notebooks...just about anything flat and light. One minor problem is that the left knob thingy to hold things in place is loose and doesn't want to stay where I put it4Wonderful for my use, Unacceptable for normal intended use.Well, I like this stand a great deal. It is perfect for my needs.BUT...Other reviewers have noted a flaw where the hinges screw into the base. Those screws are sized poorly, and the wood of the base splits right at those screws. They are right. Mine split like that the first time I opened the stand up, straight out of the box.. The only saving grace is that my usage was not typical, in that I didn't particularly want the base.I have a shelf on the wall, under which I slide my keyboard. I wanted a music stand to sit (or be mounted) on the shelf, to serve in playing that keyboard. A base made it a little bigger than I wanted, but also would give me some mobility. I was prepared to go either way.Turns out the decision was made for me. I could have glued the base back together, and refastened it with longer screws, but I chose to take the broken base off, and mount the hinges directly to my shelf, then I routed a groove for the prop--stand to hold the thing at the angle I wanted. The way I use it, it looks and works great. It is a nice looking piece, but that one flaw is fatal if you intend to use it as designed. I could not recommend it for that purpose, unless you were prepared to do a minor amount of woodworking to get it right.4
