    Great Sturdy Versatile Box Our box was not packed well, should have had more wrapping around it inside, but no damage. This is a very sturdy box and PERFECT for children or anyone to store a lot in it. Kind of like a "child's briefcase". =) Has 2 very sturdy 4" long hinges on back. The "inside" measurements for storage are 15" wide X 9" deep X 3 1/2" high. This is exactly the inside size for storing various sizes of paper, notebooks etc comfortably. Others have given the depth measurement including the extra on each side of the handle, this cannot be included when storing paper. I use it for various paperwork in progress i.e. computer entry, keeps it altogether. I may buy some more for gkids Christmas gifts and for my jewelry hobby ! 5Great for carrying my various art supplies Great for carrying my various art supplies. this is the third ArtBin I have brought-one (the largest) contains my oil paints for travel, this Quick View Deep Base Carrying case helps me to cart around my various drawing pencils, pastels, some paint brushes, etc. The other I bought to close in my oil paints on palette paper to keep them moist overnight. The product is quite sturdy and useful. 5Love Amazing ! I just bought these and I am using them as Easter baskets so my little ones can use them as multi purpose toy storage for travel ! 5Perfect I got this case to store my washi tape, stickers, pens, tape, markers, scissors, etc. Things I use for cards, journals, my planner, mixed media art, stuff like that. It's really the exact perfect size. The cases for my pens fit right in and don't flop around and it creates a good base for keeping other stuff like washi tape in place. It's thick enough that you can put a lot of stuff in it. I haven't even filled mine yet. And since I usually use these items together when making a project, it's great to be able to just grab this case and bring it to my work area rather than picking stuff out of my craft drawers that I've used in the past. It's surprisingly inexpensive for how great it is. I got the 14 inch which is perfect for these kinds of writing supplies but I might get another 17 inch one to store some bigger things in. The case locks well, so there's no worry about it spilling all over the place. Honestly, this is the perfect kind of art storage case I've been looking for for years, and I can't believe it was under ten dollars. If you're looking for a way to keep art supplies organized, you must get this. Highly recommended! 5Great for my flash drives and memory storage I'd originally thought it would hold standard U.S. Letter size paper.. nope. Be aware of outer dimensions vs usable interior space. I'm very pleased with it now that I got something else to hold my ream of special paper to keep it from getting mussed up. Now I have it full of things like MicroSD, SSD's and Flash drives.. works great for them.Very good construction and so far I've no issue with the slide locking that keeps it closed until you want to open it. Great design.. just wish the interior usable space had been spelled out better in the listing. 4Handle uses up a significant portion of interior dimensions I love ArtBin products -- they are well-made and well-designed, and this is no exception. However, be advised that the product specifications give the *exterior* dimensions of this box, including the recessed handle. The handle takes up part of the interior space so the largest rectangular thing you could put in the box would be about 7.25 W x 13.75" L x 3" D . If you're looking to fit something specific inside, take this into account. At the sides where the handle does not cut into the inside space, you could fit an object of about 8.25" L x 3" W x 3" D. 4Good concept, poor execution Product arrived broken and the adjustable storage was a bit too small for the length of some watercolor brush pens.The product had cracks that propagated from areas that did not have properly sized molded-in radii near the base of the product. The material used was a low impact, clarified polypropylene. This material requires a design with generous radii and assemblies made from this material should be well-protected for shipping during cold weather. It should not be sent loose in a box with some kraft paper as a packer.The fit of the pens were as expected from previous reviewers comments on this product. The breakage that occurred was also commented upon in some other consumer reviews but there was a bit of hope that the company would have taken the appropriate steps to eliminate the issue. One suggestion for Art Bin, in addition to adding the proper radii and packaging it better, would be to mold the parts out of an impact grade polypropylene. This would save them money and produce a better product. The translucent case is not as important as a case that would survive impacts from drops, etc. 2inside quite small & locks very hard to open The product information says this box is 10.2 x 3.2 x 9.6 inches, so I bought one to store my 9" fabric squares. Sadly, the available flat area inside the box is only 9 x 6 x 2.25 inches, so my swatches can only be put inside if folded.I only bought the one, and I have other uses to which I can apply it, but I thought that an accurate inside measurement might help someone else decide if this was the proper box for their project.In addition, the slide fasteners that hold the box closed are very, very hard to open, so stay away from this one if you are hoping to open the locks with one hand each. They do have holes for you to add locks, but any thief is just going to grab the whole box and crack it open elsewhere, so why bother, unless you are going to use the holes to chain the box to a large heavy object with a ski lock. 3Don't buy if planning on storing coloring books with supplies. This bin is perfect for storing your markers and pencils, but if you plan on storing your coloring books also, choose something else. Product size stated on site is very misleading since the majority of the box is only 5.5 inches wide. 2beware the measurements This 17x12 inch case has rounded corners and a BIG indentation for the handle, so the interior measurement is much smaller, about 9x15.5 This is fine if you are looking for a case that will fit into a 17x12 space, but I was hoping to carry some 11x14 art boards in it. 2
