    dissapointedWell just ran I=out and opened a new package of my aurifil thread bought just for that reason. Well there were all theses beginning threads a mess I'm very disappointed I cant return it but will now try to get this mess figured out3I like this thread, but my machine didn t. Highly recommended by quilters everywhere.I like the look of this product but unfortunately my sewing machine didn t like this thread (kept dropping stitches). I think I ll try adjusting the tension up/down and give it another try, now that I m finished with the project I was needing it for.5Thread breaks at least every ten minutes of sewing anything. Very disappointingI cannot sew more than 10 minutes and the thread breaks. I was sewing a quilt yesterday and re-threaded my sewing machine at least 10 times within an hour!! this is supposed to be really good thread but I am so very disappointed in it and it is beyond the time I can return it for a refund. I will not buy this thread again. I thought it might be the needle but changed the needle to a new one and still had the same problem. I was trying today to hem something today and it broke immediately twice!1Great quality thread.I will only use this thread for piecing because it's the best. The thread rarely breaks and i kniw my piecing will hold up with this thread. If you ever make anything to put in microwave like those potato steamer, you should you this because it's 100 percent cotton.It's also recommended for top quilting. Price here is better than my local quilt shopWould buy from this seller again if price remains the same. Thanks!4Beautiful thread, just not for meI really wanted this thread for a long, long time. Everyone likes it and i eaited for a special occasion to buy it. The thread is wonderful, and if it had been the first thread I'd ever used, I'd prob love it as much as everyone else. However, I'm just not crazy about it. It has a shine that I don't care for, and is really thin. Those are good things for most people, but I had been using Gutermann 100% cotton before and that is where I judged it from. The Auriful worked beautifully, came quickly and was wrapped in plastic when delivered. I would recommend it to anyone. But, I'll stick with Gutermann.5practically lint free! I am in love with this thread! I've used other brands but this one leaves very little if any lint in my bobbin housing.Lint in your bobbin housing is the #1 issue why sewing machines need to be serviced. It's super fine twist also makes for a true 1/4 inch seam and has made a huge difference in my quilt making. 5One StarPoor quality. So many broken threads. Can't use on sewing machine.1Cotton thread at last!This is a great find! I have been looking for cotton thread for some time and while I can generally find cotton covered with poly or a mix of the two, it has been some time that I have been able to locally source pure cotton thread. The weight it perfect and at 1300m I should be able to complete a good sized project or two before I would need to replace the spool. It runs through both my machines fine (Singer & a Brother) and bobbins wind quite nicely as well. Not only does it sew well but afterwards it feels like it was meant to be part of the quilt. Should you make a mistake and need to rip threads this came out with no hassles even when I was using a higher stitch count.It is a 3" tall spool with a base of about 1.5" so it may not fit on some traditional machines. I was lucky, it fits on the Singer like a charm. If you have a smaller spool area you may want to grab a stand alone base for this type of spool.5Thread Breaking Thread is a great value for amount. But, thread keeps breaking while sewing. 3Great at first... Do not buy this thread. At first it's great, but when the thread is half way used up it begins to have problems. Ruined a project, not pleased. 1Thread keeps breaking! This thread sucks. I thought I was being silly for reading thread reviews, but apparently not. It breaks like crazy and is bad quality. I switched back to my usual brand and will not be going back. 1Consistent quality for general sewing and quiltingAurifil threads have been a delight to discover after years of disappointment as thread quality in general has declined in America. I use both 40 and 50 weight.5Absolutely THE BEST thread everAll three spools arrived quickly and were well packaged. I saved 4+ dollars per spool, compared to local quilt shops - WHEN i can find Aurifil. I won't use anything BUT Aurifil - no lint, next to zero breakage. When I clean my bobbin area - other "Quality threads" (Sulky, Mettler, etc) leave TONS of lint. Aurifil all the way - unless I need a specific color of variegated thread Aurifil doesn't have - then I'll buy King Tut.5Breaks too muchThis thread breaks constantly.
