Customer Reviews

Easy to useReally easy to use, and cuts down beading time!!! I have both this one and a battery powered one, I like the ease and no noise of this one. Though warning: you can spin it too fast and the beads will spin out, also if you stop it abruptly but those are properties of gravity. 5Great time saver!Worth its weight in gold for beading long strings of the same seed beads or mixed-color seed beads. If you are using wire, there is no need for the curved needle....just put a little curve in the end of the wire. Great time saver! 5So the bearing flying out while spinning the bowl was ...So the bearing flying out while spinning the bowl was driving me nuts. To solve this aggravation, place a 2" diameter O-ring over the spindle, place the bearing inside that O, and replace the bowl on the spindle. Just make sure it is a skinny O-ring. Problem solved. Beadalon would serve their customers well by including this cheap, effective solution. 4Picks the beads up quickly and I can finish projects faster!I was dubious about this purchase, but after reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and try it. I've been working on a necklace with very small beads for along time and and it just wasn't going well. I bought the Spin-n-Bead Bead Loader and I am so happy. I was able to finish my original necklace, a bracelet, and two more bracelets in less than an hour. It took a bit of practice to get the beads to go onto the hook, but once I found the "sweet spot" it was like magic - they just jumped on the needle. The spinner feels sturdy and the speed and rotation are very smooth. It works better the more beads that are in the bowl. I've used seed beads and some larger heavier beads. The heavier beads work, but can sometimes weigh the J hook down so that some of the beads escape as I'm trying to move the hook. I like that it doesn't make a ton of noise and it's just fun. 5Lo voy a tirar a la basura Muy decepcionada, parece que me enviaron un producto usado. Esta desbalanceado y no gira, las piezas de metal est n oxidadas y da mucho miedo la advertencia sobre el riesgo de que las sustancias con lo que trataron la madera puede causar c ncer. Se tard mucho en llegar m s que lo que uno pida a China, no lo recomiendo en lo absoluto 1super handy if you use it for its intended purposeThis little contraption is super handy if you use it for its intended purpose. I bought one years ago and tried to use it with steel beading wire and smaller beads. (Epic fail). It's really for thin string, like silk thread or kuhimimo thread when you need tons of tiny beads. In that sense, it works great! I don't see the need for a battery operated version, since it just takes a quick turn to keep it going. Mine did come with the needle (someone complained theirs didn't) but it's almost invisible, so look closely. 5Good product, takes practice and a few adjustmentsI had purchased this with some reluctance. I needed to load a lot of beads onto temporary thread and had tried another, similar product with very poor results. I'd watched several product demonstration videos and read numerous reviews - and the consensus was that either it worked after a few tries or it didn't. The first few attempts were futile but I realized that the problem wasn't the spinner itself, but the needle. The spinner comes with a Big Eye needle with a very tight "J" curve at one end, and that's the issue. The curve on the needle makes it impossible to hold at an angle where the beads will load on and stay loaded on. I experimented with the shape of the curve, gradually loosening it up until it was almost an "L". The trick is that the curve on the needle needs to match the curve on the bowl, and once that happens, beads jump on the needle like magic. In an hour, I was able to load up almost fifteen yards of thread with size 11 seed beads. You can purchase additional curved needles, but honestly, it's not necessary to spend the extra money for the curve - the Big Eye needles are two pieces of spring steel soldered together, and if you have a pair of nylon jaw pliers, pulling the needle through the pliers will create the curve. One of the issues I'd read on a review of the needles is that the Big Eye needles are too thick for size 15 seed beads. If you can find long (3-inch) size 11 English beading needles, you can - with a pair of flat-nose pliers and some gentle persuasion - put the curve in the tip of the needle and spin up your tiny beads to your heart's delight. The product does take practice, even once you get the right angle on the needle. I recommend working on a bead mat. It's inevitable that you'll hit the side of the bowl with the tip of the needle and send beads spraying out of the bowl.I actually wish this product had a plastic bowl. The oak is nice, but there is a heavy grain and it's not uncommon for the tip of the needle to get snagged. 4Works great!I bought this for my mother because she has a hard time seeing the wire when beading and she loves this! It works much better than the loud and ever breaking electric one plus this will last a lot longer than the other one. 5Works best with very small sead beadsI was truly excited to get this little jewel. Worked fairly well after I got the hang of it on my 11/0 seed beads; however, today I am attempting to spin Rocaille 8/0 Czech beads and have tried every needle I have and there are many. Just does not pick up. I found I could just not spin and pull up around 5-6 at a time in this method so will do this for now. Wondering if anyone else has this issue with the 8/0 rocaille beads. 4This is the ONLY way to load seed beads. Easy to useLoading beads for my Kumihimo was a pain in the backside. With the Beadalon you just start it spinning with a curved beading needle in place and they just automatically load.It took a little practice to determine the right angle to have the needle at but after that it was smooth sailing.Recommended to all who use seed beads 5
