I have been purchasing a similar product elsewhere, but I wanted to try the Fireline Crystal Beading thread for a design I'm working on. Because this item will be used and moved about frequently, I wanted to use a beading thread that I felt would withstand that constant use. I read the reviews on Fireline products and decided to give it a try.I have used it for about 3 square inches of finely beaded design and it appears to be working perfectly. It has not stretched out and it is virtually invisible in the design. I'm using a variety of differing size beads in the design in order to create depth, and I noticed that (when I began the design with my regular beading thread) when I would change the size of the bead, the thread was visible, not a lot, but still visible. Using this Crystal Beading Thread, I'm not seeing any sign of it. If something changes while I'm working the design (which will be 12" X 48") I will edit this review to reflect that.4PERFECT for me!!!I finally broke down and bought this for stringing Swarvorski beads onto my crocheted ornament covers.I m legally blind, after ordering the big eye needles, it was easier for me to thread. Then I saw this item and decided to give it a try. PERFECT!!! My beads actually sparkle right through the beads.5Normally really awesome, this last order, not so goodOnly beading line I will use!*edit* I am taking a star away as the last roll I ordered was awful! I've never experienced this before but the string broke 5, yes 5, times while trying to add one row of crystals to a seed bed cuff bracelet. I've made 8 full bracelets and this was the 9th and the last row at that and the string just kept breaking as I would weave the crystals in! I did nothing different, beads were all the same as before, but here I am, pulling the string to tighten the bead into place and snap. And then I needed to weave a new string in. So frustrating. Hopefully it was just a bad roll so I can update this after my next beading project and bring it back up to 5 stars!4Strong!This is perfect for fine bead work. You don't have to worry about it snapping and ruining the work of art that you've spent hours crafting. I use it for kumihimo with seed beads, and it doesn't tangle too easily.5Not at all what I can use.It is like thread, can't use it for my work, Wouldn't work for beading. A waste of my money.1Great but costlyThis is the best product for me to use in beadweaving and jewelry making. The only downside is the cost.......way to much. It can be slightly less at Amazon but not often. The other thing is that I prefer 6 lb., .015mm, but Amazon only sells, 6lb., .008mm it will still work. Also, there are other brands similar to Fireline but I found that they break easy and are not for me.4Works better than WildfireAn industry standard, I was happily suprised to discover I like it more than the Wildfire I was using. The Fireline really is impossible to split with the needle.Worth the extra cost.5Not what I expectedI m new to beading and was looking for something more like fishing line that would be sturdy, I didn t know how to search for that and got this, which may be my fault but its more white than clear, and its very soft, its super strong but it behaves like normal thread3
