Not functional.These would be good for a steampunk costume. I needed them for some closeup work. Because each eyepiece looks straight ahead so to see anything, you have to put it infront of one eye and close the other. Sort of pointless since we use both eyes to see what we are doing.I returned this item and bought the Prime Choice or whatever it is. They have a one piece lense that goes across both eyes. They are what I was looking for. 1One of the most useful tools I've bought to be honestI've had these for probably 18 months now and my wife and I have used them countless times for removing splinters or working on something really tiny. One of the most useful tools I've bought to be honest.The build quality is good enough for what they are. In 18 months of regular use, nothing has broken or worn out. The optical quality is definitely not staggering, but considering the price, it's sufficient enough. The LED lights are adjustable in terms of swing and direction so you can move them around to get the shadow you need, but can't adjust the intensity. They are somewhat fragile so I don't think they'd survive in a tool bag.For all the people complaining about having to be too close to the object, that's how optics work. Hold a magnifying glass 1/2 inch from your eye, and then 12 inches from a piece of paper, now try 6 inches. Doesn't work right? Well these are basically tiny magnifying glasses. The focal lengths between the object, the loop, and your eye all need to be in the sweet spot to work. It's not a manufacturing defect and it's not fair to ding this product because you don't understand physics. If you're still confused, by ANY eye loupe from ANY company and they all work the same, or lookup "how an eye loupe works". 4Junk you will never use.Junk. It's as if the designer had no idea how it is supposed to work or why there are two eye pieces. In order for a stereo magnifier to work the eye pieces have to line up at the focal point (which is less than an inch in this case) just like your own eyes do when you look at something. Imagine crossing your eyes to look at something about an inch in front of your nose. But you won't get that far since there is no way of adjusting them. Each eyepiece attaches loosely to the frame and they can not be aligned to point in the same direction. I guess for 10 bucks you can close one eye. 1good toolThey are comfortable and stay in place. The loupes are easy to change in and out of the eye pieces and they are secure. It came with all the advertised bits. The bows comes off of the glasses and the head strap snaps in to place. See pictures.The loupes don't screw in but they have a plastic notch that twists in to place nicely. My only complaint is that optics are not as good as I had hoped. They sufice but they have a more narrow field of view than I was hoping for. Having multiple magnifications is a huge benefit though. 5love themI like them so much I'm going to buy a second pair. a friend I work with want me to order him two pairs. I with with steel and get grinding slivers in my hand and cant see them. with the glasses they look like railroad spikes. can't say enough about them. Need to be very close though. 5Excellent productexcellent glasses for up close work. The lights move so you can position them for the best viewing. Though there are 2 lenses, they are not binocular. You can only use one lens at a time. That means you can use whichever eye you want and flip the other up or you can have 2 different magnifications to use. These are not for sewing or other crafts that need minimal magnification. These are for very detailed work like examining insects or removing splinters or tiny carvings on match sticks and the like. 5Great valueI use these all the time at work. I have to align sub millimeter tips and dies to make detonator wire and without these, setting up the tooling would be near impossible. With these I am able to see inside a whole less than a millimeter in diameter to align it with another hole less than half a millimeter and get them aligned to within 0.02mm. Best thing I have purchased for work. 5There's nothing to dislike!Unless, of course, they had no idea of what they were buying, I don t see how anybody could gripe about these specs, even if they cost $19.95.I was surprised at how CLEAR and SHARP the lenses are. As a practical matter, though, I don t think I will have much call to use anything stronger than 10x or 15x.The frames are made of a rigid plastic, definitely up to the job. The up/down adjustment CLICKS are smooth and positive. The lenses SNAP into the frames with a positive click.Does anybody really think that while looking at a magnified object as close as the end of their nose they will be able to observe it with BOTH eyes?! Sorry, it has got to be one eye or the other. 5Versatile but flimsyI'm kind of torn on this. I love the interchangeable lenses so I can setup one side for high magnification and the other for lower. The only part it fails at is the LED lights are very flimsy and are easily broken away from the glasses just leaving them hanging. If you ave a good alternate light source they will be fine, if you need the LEDs for your work pass on these. 3Pretty Good for the MoneyFirst things first. You will need the headband if you plan on using them while looking down. Not a big issue since the batteries and magnifiers to any set is rather heavy for the glasses. The glasses are a loose and not stiff, comes with the territory.The different lenses are all good for any watch out jewelry repair. Love this! I have different strengths in each eye right now.They are not meant for using two eyes at once! Please don't confuse two lenses for bilense use. Mono lense only.Comes with a box with extra powered lenses. Case could be better than just flimsy plastic tray and paper box. Could also use a carrying case for glasses. I have a spare one. Batteries are included and is set up to work out of the box.Very versatile for both men and women and can be adjusted to fit you. I liked this! LED's are very handy and can be also adjusted. Easy to change lenses and they stay in without any issues.You can use this for any small project, watch repair or jewelry appraisals or repair. Glasses are great for home or store use.Value is great for what you get. I don't have buyers remorse with the few dollars spent. Will last me a good while. 5
