    Dark Mauve FailI ordered this in a few different colors. The dark mauve looks nothing like the picture and I m extremely disappointed. It no longer works for my project. The color is more like a Barney bright purple. Also the purple color is not as soft as the others (which aren t super soft to begin with). One skein made half of a crochet scarf (I made it pretty think) so I have to reorder all colors except for the purple. 2red orange not hot pink AND faded denim is nearly navyThe color was called hot pink and that is what it looks like in the picture. However it's actually a red with a touch of orange. Fortunately though I can use it, as it coordinates well with another yarn I have But I still need a bright pink for the original project.AND what's called faded denim is nearly navyBTW, Before ordering yarn online I never go just by whether a yarn's classification is a 5 or a 6, I look at the expected number of stitches and rows in a 4"square. if that's not given in an ad I calculate the number of yards per ounce and compare that with yarn I have or whatever. 2Great yarn for a soft, chunky scarf!I was looking for thicker yarn to make a chunky winter scarf for my boyfriend. This was perfect. It was easy to work with, super soft, and has been holding up well. My boyfriend loves his scarf! 5Just purple, with a weird fishy smell.I needed twelve skeins of yarn in order to make a blanket. This color is definitely not "Dark Mauve". I'd say it's actually just purple. Not as chunky as I was expecting it to be, but after I tripled the yarn to knit (as was my initial intention) it was plenty big enough for me. The material is warm (not as war as wool, obviously), and I didn't have much trouble with the yarn in terms of knitting. However it had a weird, fishy smell that came from the plastic bags it arrived in. Almost every bag has this weird smell. I sprayed it with febreeze, but it still has that smell. If I ever want some yarn to just practice on, I'll probably use this, but won't be buying it for large projects anymore. 3great yarnI crochet afghans for personal gifts but also for our wonderful veterans that are now in nursing home or hospitals, so itis very important that it is quality yarn at a reasonable price (I have made over 200 at my own cost) and will keep our veterans warm. Perfect yarn for me. thanks 5Very soft and fast to work withI whipped up a small bathroom rug with a little over one skein of this yarn using the recommended 9mm (U.S. M/13) crochet hook. Since it was nice and thick I managed to finish it in one sitting! It was also very soft and nice to work with.To help you get an idea of how much yarn you might need for a cute little bathroom rug, I've provided a photo. It's about 22 inches in length. 5Five StarsIt looks great for making doll wig. 5Super soft yarn from the get goI really like how this yarn is so soft you can wear whatever project you're doing right away. Some yarns I've found you have to wash before hand in order to be wearable (like hats or scarves) because they're scratchy but this yarn is very soft. The color is lighter in person so be careful of that. My boyfriend swears there is some blue in it but I don't see it and I worry he's having some sight problems, but it's his opinion and I think it's important enough for me to warn others about it. But if you don't care about the color, this chunky yarn is really awesome. I made a hat out of it, just a regular knit and it's very warm. Love this yarn! 5Bulky YarnThis yarn is truly a bulky 6. I used a full skein to make an adult hat. It is my new favorite bulky yarns! 5Not good for blanketsThis is more of a pale yellow than an off white. Also, this yarn does not work up well. The blanket I am making is more like a rug, in that it is too thick and not very flexible or soft. If I had it to do over again, I definitely wouldn't use this yarn but I had already bought 12 skeins of it so I'm stuck. I won't use it again unless I decide to start making carpets. 2
