    Music and Movie a Perfect MatchThe movie: A beautifully choreographed, but bitter-sweet story. I hope you will see it.... It will repeatedly take you by surprise, and take you to the edge of your seat, in suspense. This music soundtrack is absolutely amazing. The band "Broken Circle" is now touring Europe, carrying the old-fashioned Americana bluegrass sound, out to reach millions of people. (But seeing them sing and perform it in the film is even better). The surprise ending of the movie is an affirmation of life and love, without limits. The music is powerfully uplifting; The movie, I want to own.5Beautiful film; magnificent soundtrackI watched the movie last night, bought the soundtrack this morning. Both are splendid. Since this is a review for the soundtrack more than the excellent movie, I won't bore you with details on the film except to say that it is greatly enhanced by these soulful, amazingly pure bluegrass songs. Such wonderful picking, strumming and fiddling and then she starts singing, all the more beautiful because the dialog is in Flemish with subtitles but the songs sound like they are straight out of southwest Virginia. Entirely lovely. Even if you aren't a bluegrass fan, get this album. It's for music lovers.5Wonderful album but I bought the vinyl and my copy ...Wonderful album but I bought the vinyl and my copy had many small scratches on it that caused cyclical pops and clicks on a couple of the tracks. This was a sealed LP. I will try another copy. Hopefully this is a one off problem and not a general issue with the vinyl edition.EDIT: Update -- the seller sent me a second unopened copy with the same result. This vinyl manufacture is scratching the vinyl before it is even packaged. I would not recommend buying this on vinyl despite how great an album it is. I buy a lot of vinyl and this has been a unique experience.5I can't wait to see the movie in the US later this yearExcellent soundtrack, I feel lucky to have stumbled on the German movie trailer on YouTube. Great songs, great voices, especially Veerle's voice. The movie is supposed to come to the US before the end of 2013. I will definitely see it, and I will continue to listen to this soundtrack quite often, I'm sure.5Deep Love and Very Deep LossThere is a movie to this sound track.Broken Circle BreakdownThe movie is gorgeous, lush and wrenching. The sound track is fabulous, country music . Clear and beautiful.The actress is lovely and sexy and so wonderful. The actor who plays her husband is tall, and talented and adorable....the child.... their union produces, is so cute, sweet and profoundly ill. The movie will tear the viewers heart out......the sound track will make the viewer LOVE both.I was prepared for a great foreign movie, I was not prepared for the loss at the end....that was a shock.The movie is so worth watching and the soundtrack is so deeply haunting and beautiful.....I love it so much.Buyer Beware: The film is really, really hard to watch but its also sensuous and lush and heavily saturated in family love and respect..5Sounds better in the movieGood stuff but somehow the music sounds "fuller" and more enticing on when watching the movie. Perhaps that's the trick the mind plays on you when you're watching and listening and emotionally involved in the story on the screen all at the same time.I especially enjoy her voice more on the movie, though it is certainly still nice on the album.By the way: this IS a great -- albeit -- looong movie full of many different rounds of emotion. We watched it weeks ago and every now and then I find myself still chewing it over.4Stunning cd!Whilst watching the movie 'A Broken Circle Breakdown', I was not only blown away and transfixed by the movie but also the soundtrack. As soon as I had finished watching it, I hopped onto Amazon and thankfully I was able to buy a gently used inexpensive version. This is one of my favourite ads to listen to whilst taking long walks. I just wish the story was not so sad! Now I plan to research the various artists on the cd to find even more wonderful folk/bluegrass music.5Great Soundtrack, Depressing Movie, but both greatIf you like Bluegrass music, this movie is 5-star great! Warning though: it is as depressing as F**K! Really difficult subject matter. Director said if he hadn't used the Bluegrass soundtrack the audience would all kill themselves and he's right! Beautiful picture, great acting for complete unknowns (in USA anyway) Sub-titled but you don't notice after a while. Soundtrack is fantastic!5Fantastic soundtrack.I searched high and low for a duo to sing "If I Needed You" at my wedding the way it's done on this disc, sadly I couldn't find anyone. You can find the movie actors performing these tunes live and they're worth hearing. While "If I Needed You" is my favorite track, I suggest you don't watch the video for "Wayfaring Stranger", it'll bring a tear to your eyes.It's both that good and that sad.5Great move. Must see!I love this movie. It immediately became one of my all time favorite movies. Beautiful, sad story that at it's core is about how people deal with grief differently.Told in a non linear fashion, different parts of the main relationship are revealed in a way that make you wish you knew how something happened in the past, and it is revealed to you later in the movie. Very satisfying.And the music makes the movie! This is a Dutch film with subtitles, but the music is Bluegrass and in English. No more details here, but you will want the soundtrack.This movie haunted me for weeks after seeing it. I couldn't stop thinking about it.That's one of the reasons I love it so much. I've never experienced that before. And the last scene....kills me emotionally every time I see it.5
