Description

Product Description Plumb Amazon.com Tiffany Arbuckle Lee (aka Plumb) is somewhat of an enigma. She doesn't constantly grace the covers of magazines or music trades, yet her art is highly regarded in Christian (and beyond) music circles as both a songwriter and artist. She draws strong vocal comparisons to Dido and Amy Lee of Evanescence, yet it was the latter's own admission that her style is modeled after Plumb. Chaotic Resolve, Plumb's fourth studio release, is yet another outstanding testament to the gifts of this amazing young woman. Proving her lyrical prowess, Plumb aptly captures her essence on "Motion" when she sings, "Do I Make You Feel Uneasy/Do I Break Your Stupid Rule/Cause I Do Not Fit Your Idea/Of A Beautiful Girl." Therein lies the beautiful paradox of Plumb's art; she molds elements of rock, pop, electronica, and metal together and does so while singing about some difficult subjects like physical abuse, alienation, and depression. "I Can't Do This" and "Better" are telling examples with Plumb's edgy rock mixing strangely well with strings from the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Give credit to producer Matt Bronleewe--an original Jars of Clay member, if you didn't know, and a fine musician in his own right--who has worked from the beginning with Plumb, and wraps her music together in a stunning way. For long-time fans, you'll appreciate popish tracks like "Blush (Only You)," "Real Life Fairytale," and "Sleep," which sound like extra takes from the brilliant Candycoatedwaterdrops. The stark and majestically beautiful "Cut" showcases Plumb's wonderful voice, and don't miss how she soars with eagles on this dramatic song. --Michael Lyttle

Customer Reviews

Five StarsGreat album. Plumb rocks5NAILED it in every songAmazing CD, she is an amazingly versatile and soul(literally) filled artist. She GETS it.5loveagain great product and great service...she is an awesome singer...Klove music is all I listen to anymore as it is very uplifting in these troubled times4PowerfulPlumb's music is powerful, evoking strong emotion and involvement. It calls on you to do something, change something, make the world better. So much more interesting than anything on the radio.5I love this album! This album is amazing. Plumb's writing and voice are just incredible. I can not tell you how much I enjoy Bittersweet, it is just a great song. I am a fan of intelligent, soulful writing (my favorite "mainstream" artist is Peter Gabriel) and Plumb definitely fits the bill.5A great cd except for the song Pray For MeI would have given this cd 5 stars if it weren't for the track Pray For Me. The whole cd is wonderful and has a great feel to it, then you get to the end and have a remixed version of Michael W. Smith's Pray For Me. I can't listen to this song as I used to love the original and Plumb's remix was starting to ruin it for me. Other than that the cd is really great. Her lyrics are really amazing, her voice is phenomenal and the orchestration of the music is really impressive. I have this cd in my car right now and listen to it over and over, it's definitely going to take a while for me to get tired of it!4"Don't do this, don't do that. You will be, oh so perfect."I can't express enough how happy I am to have discovered CHAOTIC RESOLVE. I may not be able to compare this album to Plumb's previous works but I am absolutely loving what I'm hearing here. This album is without doubt destined to become a classic in my rather large CD collection. My only regret is not having bought this sooner! (But definitely better late than never.) Plumb had come up in my music recommendations many times before but I never got the chance to sample any of it. However, I finally decided to go ahead and buy CHAOTIC RESOLVE on a whim and it turned out to be quite the gamble.I suppose the reason I was most reluctant for so long is because of Plumb being labeled as "Christian music". Personally I am not a big fan of religion but I am still a spiritual person and didn't once feel like I was being preached to. The music will appeal to the likes of Flyleaf and Evanescence, catering to fans of the pop-rock/femme metal genre with lyrics that deal with real life issues that everyone can find relatable, such as heartache and depression. ('I may seem crazy / Or painfully shy / But these scars wouldn't be so hidden if you'd just look me in the eye. / I feel alone here, and cold here / Though I don't wanna die'). Singer Tiffany Arbuckle-Lee harkens to such greats as Amy Lee, Suzanne Vega and Leigh Nash but, respectively, still has a sound all her own.Honestly people, every song here (with maybe the exception of "Pray For Me") is simply amazing. I didn't find myself skipping around like I do with many other albums. Pretty much every song is a winner, but the standout tracks for me would have to be the upbeat "Blush (Only You)", "Good Behavior" (which reminds me of a harder edged Joydrop), the dreamy "Sleep", "Damaged (the extended version)", and the stirring ballads "Cut" as well as "Jekyll & Hyde" which touched me personally. If your at all into the other bands mentioned in this review, I can't imagine you wouldn't find some sort of enjoyment in Plumb's CHAOTIC RESOLVE. It's truly a diamond in the rough and is deserving of far more recognition.5Five StarsI love that she had a variety of songs on this album Cut is one of my favorite songs.5Perfect 5 out 5Music is my forte. Although I'm not a big pop fan this release by Plumb had plenty to offer me. The honesty of her up and down spiritual/emotional roller coaster mixed with the not always face value lyrics appeals to my somewhat complex taste in music. I rated this album by Plumb a perfect 5 out 5.5Chaotic ResolveGreat Plumb albums - songs on it are very good.5
