    Every seamstress needs one! This has been one of those "game changer" products for me as I've been learning to sew. The fabric kind of grips the Hot Hemmer so that you can get a perfect measurement. 5Very handy for hemming tablecloths and napkins Sure - you can measure that 1/4" hem without this. I've used an index card that I marked with 1/4 inch. But this one isn't going to get raggy and tear and have to be made again. It makes doing the tedious job of ironing down your 1/4 inch hem SO much faster! And your fabric won't slip around either. [...] has a blurb on it. 5Works, but kind of flimsy. For the price, this should be more substantial.It bends easily and mine is already warped. Thinking of putting some kind of iron-safe backing on it - I'll update my review if I think of something! 3This is really nice tool. I use often and now it is ... This is really nice tool . I use often and now it is very easy to press fabric with iron.When I make place mat this helps a lot and I can press fabric well very quick then I can sew very well. 5Fan of the Hot Hemmer I've always had trouble hemming small things evenly, especially with fabric that tends to fray and the raw edges are no longer sharp and clean. The Hot Hemmer is helpful at keeping your hem straight as you iron. This item is small enough that it fits in small hems, such as sleeves. I wish I had discovered this before! 5Grips fabric while ironing! For years, the only commercial solution has been the metal Dritz hemmer of similar design. Not only did it get HOT while ironing up the hem . . .but was slippery.Not so with this handy gadget. It grips the fabric while pressing so fabric remains in place until it's set with the iron, freeing up your hand to clear the way for a hot iron. No more accidental burns!Wish this had been available years ago . . .one of Clover's best inventions! 5I like using this product I like using this product, however, the one drawback is that if you are working with thicker fabrics you don't get a nice crisp fold and in fact, you have to be careful with where you place the fabric edge so that it won't be longer than it is supposed to be. I learned with denim and thicker fabrics that I have to put the edge of the fabric just shy of the line. I wish this were longer so that I wouldn't have to keep placing it. Otherwise, it is an excellent tool. I highly recommend using this. 4How did I survive without it?!! I love this little gadget! I'm definitely into "gadgets" to help make sewing easier, but sometimes they make it harder instead. This one is an awesome no-brainer! Super easy to use, super convenient - pressing even hems has never been easier!! 5Saves so much time! Love this little gadget! Would really like one a bit bigger for larger sewing projects. 5Easy to use... Love this !! Came on time. This is wonderful to help with hemming. This could be bigger (longer) but I will not hem without it. So glad I purchased this. Mine has measurements from 1/8 up to 5 inches one way & turn it around and it goes up to 6 inches the other. You can measure, mark and press all in one. Really is a great product ! 5
