Beautiful Color - super strong, perfect for my projects using canvas and heavy muslins.
Beautiful Color - super strong, perfect for my projects using canvas and heavy muslins. I LOVE that it's not shiny, I prefer the slightly rustic look to match the fabrics.
I wanted a nice strong thread for a good value and that is exactly what I got. Within the first day of receiving this, I made several repairs and fixed coat buttons etc and I am quite confident that this will last :)
5Great ThreadI am not a sewer, but I did learn in home ec 30 years ago how to sew a button on. It seems my buttons are popping a lot lately, and I haven't been putting on the lbs either. I was fixing them with 15 year old thread I had lying around and they kept poping off. That is when I got it in my genius head that maybe my old thread was getting old, so I upgraded to this, which is way thicker and stronger than the old stuff I was using. This some super solid thread and could probably hold a mule. I like and so far no buttons have popped.5Good thread for machine sewing
Good thread for machine sewing. It really made a big difference after using "all purpose thread". My sewing machine started work as it suppose to do.
5This is not Linen. It is Polester. That's what is says on spool.Says Poly on thread spool not Linen. Don't buy! from seller "Value Leader".Plastic bag the spool was in said Linin but the Clark & Coats spool had "Poly Pol" listed. I Googled it and it says Poly is the same as Polyester. Nowhere did I see "Linen" written. I have been ripped-off. Don't buy! from seller "Value Leader".1Not strong as stated.I'm confused by this thread. It's supposed to be same coat and heavy-duty thread so why only 3 stars? It doesn't hold up on my wrap bracelets at all. I ordered brown, which by the way I could hardly break but black is a different animal. I've had bracelet after bracelet break before any wear at all. I'm looking for another brand heavy duty thread. Not all thread is the same.3Not what I ordered
According to the description, i selected a two pack of red thread that i needed for a specific project. I received two identical assortment packs of thread that contained four spools of different color thread , none of which were red. So i now have 8 spools of thread that I really can use . I would rate this no stars if i could
1Heavy Duty thread for suspenders buttonsJust what I needed to sew buttons on my dark trousers. This is some good thread that gives me confidence the buttons won't fall off. My suspenders are good.5Nice thread.
Great product! Well worth the money. Wish I'd bought one years ago.We support Velocity of Books, an organization that promotes literacy. Please consider doing the same by making them your charity of choice through Amazon Smile: http://smile.amazon.com/ch/47-2058655
5Works Great for Battle JacketsI'm working on a battle jacket, and I wanted a durable thread to sew some patches onto it with; this does the job really well. I've been doubling up the thread, and so far it hasn't ever snapped on me, even though I've yanked it hard to even out the double thread stitches many times and even pulled hard on a single thread while it was on the spool just to see if I could snap it. It can probably do whatever you need it to!5not very heavy weight per the label "XP Heavy"The weight of this thread is no heavier than all purpose thread at twice the price. I did not do my homework before ordering - I thought the higher the number meant the heavier the thread. Not so. According to once source, the lower the # the heavier the thread. . So - at no fault of the thread - I am not happy with my purchase.2Exceptional QualityThis really fits my needs and the durability of the thread is amazing. Lost one star because there is no slit to keep the thread in place and it's a little pricey.I'll be back for more of this!!4Not much stronger or different from "regular" thread, pricey for what it is - or isn'tSlightly disappointed that this thread does not seem to be much stronger or sturdier than "regular" thread. You can still pull/yank to break, doesn't have much weight to it. It's just ok, and at nearly $6 per spool, I expected something much, much heartier and stronger, something more like the extra strong, heavy duty upholstery repair type thread.3Hard to work withGet tangled too much. Hard to work with. Spent most of my time getting knots out. 3 stars for a good color match3Not heavy duty upholstery thread like I thoughtThe product I received is discretely marked "coats", not coats and clark. It is a bit lighter weight and the spool is marked differently than I was expecting. The product seems to be made in Mexico. I thought this was heavy duty upholstery thread. It is not. Buyer beware.2
