Customer Reviews

Working well so farHad a retinal detachment fixed, which causes a cataract. So now that I have that fixed, I can see great with 1 eye and crap with the other, and it's dern near impossible to thread a needle. The smaller one I almost can't see to use, it's so thin. Kinda like filament. I'm sure at some point it'll come in handy. The larger one is what I tried it with and it saved my bacon.I don't really know how long something like this should last, this is the first time I've used one, but if it breaks sooner than I think it should, I'll update. 5Decent construction, but not great for threading smaller needles. This product is fine, for what it is. My only problem is the size of the 2 threaders are fairly large. This makes them great for needles with a large eye, but I don't need a threader for those. Sad to say, but the cheap silver ones work so much better. I can't comment on using this product with a sewing machine needle, as I use it solely for hand stitching. 3Great ThreaderThe threaders work great. What I did to make them more durable was put a drop of superglue at the attachment base of the wire so it holds better. 5Best needle threader ever! After ordering and trying many different needle threaders, I've settled on this one, and don't plan on looking for any other. This one has held up to (not gentle) use for over three months now, compared to less than a week for all the others I've tried. It is convenient to have the tube, so the wires don't get bent when I store it, and it's great to have two sizes in one!Given how I tend to treat my supplies, I will probably have to order another one of these eventually, but I definitely plan on going back to this brand, even if it does eventually break. 5I hate even having to admit that I need to use ...I hate even having to admit that I need to use such a tool at my age, but I can't get over how much easier it is to thread my machine with this handy threader! I love that it has 2 sizes of threader so I can use it for all of my various machine- and hand-sewing needs, and that the tips can be stored away safely so that I don't have to worry about it getting caught on something in my desk drawer and ruined. I highly recommend picking one of these up if you have even a *little* bit of trouble threading your needles. You won't regret it. 5easy to holdThis is great to keep on hand for sweater snags as well as threading a needle.Best of all, it's easy to hold and doesn't get lost in the drawer. 4Finally! A Threader that Lasts! It is surprising to me how hard it is to find a quality Threader that lasts for more than a couple days! I started by buying a couple of those $4 travel sewing kits just to use the single cheap threader inside. These threaders never lasted more than 2-3 days. I later bought the cute little colored threaders (2 pk for $3) with the inset blade on the other end. How covienant, I thought... until the threader broke in one day. Finally, I tried this product and I don't need to buy anymore! I have been using this one for over a month without any problems. Not bad for only $4. I like that the wires are protected inside the tube and that there are 2 sizes to choose from. I am using it for cross stitch and using needles with the tiniest eyes. I actually prefer the feel of the larger side. I also like that I can store my needle inside the threader tube so I don't lose the tiny thing. I highly recommend this product. 5Love it.Fast shipping and GREAT product...just as described.I used this on pretty small embroidery needles and it worked great.Instead of using the handle to pull the floss through the needle eye, I grab the base of the wire where it attaches to the handle so there's no stress on the wire connection to the handle. I have found, on the cheap little metal threader, the connection of the wire to the body is the weak link. That's where they always broke. Now I hold the wire when I pull so hopefully this threader will last many years.I like this a lot! 5Not very goodThis worked pretty good before it broke. Amazon issued me a replacement & that worked ok while it lasted. The first side broke so I used the smaller side & that got stuck in the machine needle in my sewing class! How embarrassing! Amazon then issued me a credit.. I wouldn't bother buying this. They just don't last.. bummer! 1Works with #28 needles.I only use the thin wire threader for cross stitch floss. The thin wire will pull 2 DMC floss threads through a #28 needle if you just pull on the last 1/4 in. and pull gently. I've used one for over a year now. Nice product. My sewing machine has its own threader so I ve never tried threading a sewing machine needle with it. 5
