    These are fine for routine useThese are fine for routine use, but don't expect artist brushes. The bristles fall out easily and are fairly stiff. The sponge paddles are quite cheaply made - single use, really. But I will say the product says it's a starter set - meaning for casual use, I suppose.They're great for young kids who tend to abuse brushes, and the price is right. Also good for light craft projects, glue, stuff like that. If you aren't expecting sable brushes for the price of plastic, you'll like these for as long as they last. Then throw them away ar recycle the handles for other uses and get some more. 4Great price!I threw a painting party at home with a big group of women and I needed some affordable brushes in a big quanity. I was extremely hesitant because the name of these brushes "pre-school" like they're made for kids. Plus a lot of the reviews said it's great for kids but not professional painting etc. But I really didn't want to spend $15-25 on a 6 brush set that didn't have enough sizes to complete the painting we wanted. I would have needed 10-15 sets and that would have been really pricey for just one painting event, not including the easels, paint, canvas etc. So I took the risk and bought these. I'm so glad I did! I found them on the Michael's website for $22 but on sale for about $14 ...so this was a great deal! They worked fine. They got the job done. I'll post the painting we made so you can see. I painted my letters with the square brushes and did the sun with the round brushes. Everyone had a great time! 5Easy clean up! And really no spills!These are great paint cups! They keep the paint fresh for months...I have had my paint in there for 2 months and its still not dried up! The covers don't tightly go on, they just kind of slide on, so be aware these can't be tipped over when storing them. The no spill feature is great though when in use. And having a coordinating paint brush is key in making these as awesome as they are! We have loved using them and haven't had any spills or issues. The brushes aren't the best of quality and I do wish they were a touch smaller, however for the price...you really can't beat it. THey work and they are just for messy kiddo painting sessions. I would buy this again in a heart beat. We have been painting so much more since these cups make it easier and make for very quick clean up when we are done! 5Life changing! Seriously though, we love them!My mom convinced me that my 4 and 2 year old "need" these! I succumbed to her pursuation and am thrilled to see she's right (as usual!)! She is a preschool teacher so she really does know her stuff. We use WASHABLE tempera paint inside the cups. My kids ask to paint almost every day! We have tons of "homemade" wrapping paper to use this year due to all their art! Also, the cheapest place to purchase the roll of paper to paint is IKEA. Happy painting! 5Excellent for the price!The handles of these brushes measure 6" long which are a soft flexible plastic. The bristles are not too stiff or too soft and are installed in a circular pattern measuring 3/32" in diameter at the base and are 9/16" in length. As there are supposed to be 144 in the case, I actually counted them as follows;Purple = 24, Orange = 24, Green = 24, Red = 24, Blue = 24, Yellow = 24, Total = 144. Dead on!!I'm using these brushes to apply a coating of liquid rubber onto nylon parts, so after one is used until finished, it cannot be cleaned for reuse, which is why I need a bundle of these at a cheap price......with the quantity, quality and price, these fit the bill, thank you! I'll be getting these again! 5Waste of moneyI had to toss these. I'm not even sure what they would be good for. The bristles are hard, not flexible and fall out in your art.Even if it's for a child, still not worth it. You can't paint in the lines, or create a pretty picture without side drag due to the extremely poor quality and separating of the bristles. 1Ok, but not greatThe cups are thick and sturdy which is nice. The main lid with the hole in it for dipping the brush fits with a nice seal. The reason I gave this three stars is because the other lids DO NOT fit or stay on. There are two lids that are slightly secure, the others fall off if they are even slightly bumped at all. Pretty much, they will definitely spill if dropped or knocked over, especially with thinner paints. Also the I got two packs of the same colors of "matching brushes" which I was bummed about. I was actually really excited to have a matching cup to brush and paint... but I only got red, green, blue, yellow and orange, none of the other colors.So all in all, as they may make painting a bit easier, I am worried the paints will still dry out as these are not air tight at all with the top lid, and the brushes were disappointing not getting the full set of matching colors as advertised. I think it would have been easier just buying food safe cups with lids and picking out better brushes. Delivered on time though : ) 3I bought these brushes for kids to use on 'Paint ...I bought these brushes for kids to use on 'Paint Your Own' Cookies. They work perfectly for this project. 5LOVE THIS!LOVE THIS!! If you have young children who love to paint, this is a must have! We had previously Boughton an easel and wanted to get something like this but melissa and Doug's set was OUTRAGEOUS, so then I thought...duh- Amazon!! I didn't notice when ordering but the brushed match each colored lid, which is great for the kids to keep the paint and brushes matched up (here's to hoping). Also the lid snaps shut which should help with the paint not drying out! 5Great Paint Brushes!This is a great set of paint brushes. We were considering buying the Melissa and Doug brushes, but some reviewers said the bristles were a bit flimsy and sparse, so we went with this set. My son loves them! They come in several different colors so you can match the paint brushes to the paint cups. They are large brushes, so they wouldn't be good for detail painting that older children might do. My son is two, however, and just wants to smear the paint all over the paper, so they work great! Very durable, easy to clean, and they seem high-quality!*************UPDATE***********We've been using these brushes for about 7 months now. My son has been able to twist the "brush" part off from the handle pretty easily, creating a stubby brush and an empty handle. It hasn't been a huge problem. I just used some super glue and put them back together. He learned how to twist the caps off of pens and markers, so he thought he should twist his paint brushes, too. I just wanted to update to tell anyone that may buy this set to just keep an eye on them. You can easily glue them back together. I did reduce my rating from 5 stars to 4, just because they aren't quite as durable as they could be. 4
