    Beware of the two sets of dimensions given in the descriptionThe box is ok but the description says "11.5 by 8.5 inch, Wood Purse Box, 7.25" x 7.25", Brown" and I assumed the exterior dimensions of the box would be 11.4 by 8.5. Nope, it is the second set of dimensions or 7.25x7.25 or much smaller than I needed. I stupidly assumed it would be the 11.5 x 8.5 dimensions first given. I was about to return it so I can get the size I expected and needed but finally discovered the second 7.25" x 7.25" dimension. It's a mystery to me why they give two sets of dimensions for the same box and I'm steaming about it.3Very sturdy for the price We got four of these to make personalize decoupaged boxes as gifts and were so pleasantly surprised at the quality that we bought four more. They are smooth with no rough edges. The clasp and hinges aren't anything special but they work fine. They seem very strong and sturdy. 5Cheap and flimsyI would not recommend this box. It's similar in shape and size to a cigar box but of a much cheaper quality. The wood is very thin and neither the top or bottom are a solid piece. The joint where pieces of the top are connected is a weak point and I expect it would crack very easily, it's already starting to crack while brand new. There were also several pressure dings in both of the two boxes I ordered.1Bad qualityPretty disappointed... was looking forward to receiving this but you can tell how sloppily it was put together. The latch is visibly crooked. And the box itself arrived with some imperfections. Wish I could receive another one that was put together with more love because I like how lightweight the box is!2Very light weight, not as durable, but okay for a starter piece when making a decent gift.This box is nice. However, to make it giftable I need to use 3 grits of sandpaper, pretreat the wood a couple times, stain it a couple times, and last add a semi gloss. All after I do what wood burning I decide to do.This box is very light weightmuch more than my expectations of a pine box, this in my opinion it not as durable as I would like it to be.4MehIt's cheap so I didn't expect too much...you get what you pay for. It fell apart as soon as I took it out of the package, the hinge screws came out and one screw is missing, which is no wonder because the holes are too big for the screws. It's not worth returning, it will work for what it was intended for though but won't last long.2Bridesmaids boxesI'm giving this 4 stars only because it was perfect for what I used it for. I used these for bridesmaids boxes. I spray painted the outside gold and filled it with hints of what our wedding theme will be and a "role card" asking each member of my bridal party to be a part of our special day.The clasp that closes the box is very flimsy and "cheap" but it closes and does its job. The boxes themselves are very light which is an extra perk because I had to send some out of state. All in all they are sturdy boxes and did the job for me. For the price you can't beat it!4Nice trinket box Lightweight and the perfect size for my need.Very easy to add a design to.I placed oak leaves to match the neck ring that my wife has inside. I used a wood burning tool to create the design. 5Perfect for wood burningLove these. So much so i ordered 5 more. I used them for wood burning. As you can see from my photos they do really well if thats what your planned use is. the wood is soft, but not too soft which makes for a perfect canvas for wood burning. I stained them when completed and the stain adheres perfectly to them. Will buy again.5Some of my favorite stuff in their box5 stars?How can you "love" wood?...OOOOOKKK I do love wood. LOL...When I had my own garage, lots of tools. I loved the smell of freshly cut wood. Go figure. This a nicely made box. The top matches the bottom perfectly. The reason I got it was that I needed a place to store my entire collection of miniature tools. This was perfect.4The wood of this little box is fine..The wood of this little box is fine ... but the problem with it is apparent that poor quality .... hinges and lock are very weak. Mine came with a slightly rotten corner.My idea was to make a few holes in the sides and make a cable box, but it will not hold a drill.1Decent Jewlry BoxI got this to paint for boxes for my bridesmaids. They are very cute and worked out well, the wood is light but it scratches pretty easily. Would have been even better if it was sanded down, the wood splits causing splinters.3
