Customer Reviews

Good hexie formsI am using these to make a queen sized grandmothers flower garden quilt. I am reusing them for the second time and they are holding up just fine. I use the hole in the center to pull out with a crochet hook. Bends them less. Hope this makes sense5SturdyThese are a nice firm card stock type paper. I glue the fabric edges to the paper. I have been able to reuse each template four or five times so far.5Great paper templates for my Grandmother's Flower Garden QuiltI really like these paper templates, especially with the center hole. I can use them multiple times because of the nice weight of paper they are made from.5Good for startersI got these to learn how to make hexies. I have since learned that it is a LOT cheaper to print my own, but these got me started and I would recommend them if you are new to hexies or just want to play around with making a few.4Perfect for paper piecingI'm basting fabric hexagons over these Dritz paper pieces using fabric basting glue. They are exactly what is needed for this project.52" measurement not specific enough on packagingThese are much bigger than I expected them to be. My mistake - but I would suggest that the packaging clearly show exactly where the 2" measurement is derived. I am finding that some companies measure one flat side, some measure across the shape from flat side to flat side and some measure from point to point across the shape.1Just right....These are sturdy enough to use several times in piecing a quilt top by hand. I want my time spent sewing.....not cutting out paper pieces. I like the smooth, even edge to piece each hexagon and I have no 'puckers' thanks to these being card stock. Flimsy, thin paper can result in some puffy hexies. I use tweezers to remove the papers and they are ready for another piece of fabric.5I wanted hex tiles for a board game prototype, ...I wanted hex tiles for a board game prototype, but there are no hex shaped materials in the gaming section. However these worked perfectly. They are close to the same size as Settlers of Catan hexes. I have no comment on how well they work for quilting!4Very easy to useUniform, and just the right stiffness. The glue sticks well, but they also pop out easily.Perfect. I am ordering more.ETA: I've also ordered the paper pieces by the other company that goes by the name Paper Pieces. I'll stick with Dritz! My only issue with the Dritz brand is that Amazon doesn't seem to currently offer (or I can't find it) the matching size diamonds that go with the 1.5 inch hexagons. I ordered from the other company to get matching diamonds. Not happy with them. I can cut better diamonds from the Hexies. I didn't fully appreciate the Dritz hexies until I had the other company's product to compare them to. Will order Dritz yet again.5Save yourself the headache of cutting your own paper piecesSure, you can find printable patterns for English paper piecing but after cutting out your 600th hexagon you are going to want to burn your quilting supplies and take up archery. The weight of these is nice, they are extremely consistent and you don't have to cut them out.5
