Customer Reviews
It s like pinning butterOh goodness, I never realized there could be such a difference in pins. They go with no fuss, they don t disrupt the fabric or the pattern piece on top. This is a tool that is making the job much easier and less frustrating, a definite repurchase!5The only pins I useI've bought other glass head pins from this brand, so I knew they were good. These are the only pins I can use, if I try using others I find that they distort the fabric when I'm trying to pin things, these are very fine so they slide through easily without moving the pieces of fabric. You should make glow in the dark pins, so I can find all of them under my sewing table.5Sharp!These pins are very fine and sharp making them extremely easy to use, especially for quilting projects. I have not been able to find pins this good at Joanns or Hancock. Best for piecing work but bend too easily to use on thick fabrics or layered quilts.5Fine and super-sharp. Great pins for fine and problematic fabrics.Fine super sharp pins. Great for silks and dress shirt cottons because they don't leave holes. Also good for fabrics that are robust but still damage easily like bengaline and some gabardines.Be sure you have your tetanus shots up to date or your sewing room is sterile, because you will definitely stab yourself multiple times with these bad boys. And they are super fine, so have fun with that. Like little expensive splinters if you aren't careful. Also be aware that they bend easily (feature, not bug) and the waste is a little higher with bent pins on some projects.5I like 'em
I'm new to sewing and have tried several types of cheap pins and these are much better to work with. Longer and easier to work with than anything I've tried yet.
5My favorite quilting pins
This is my third or fourth time purchasing these pins. They are great for quilting or sewing in general. They are very thin and don't shift the fabric at all. They are also safe to run over with your sewing machine and they don't break your needle, although I wouldn't recommend doing it repeatedly. A must have in your sewing kit.
5Not Sharp!I think I just have gotten a package that skipped the sharpening step! They are so hard to push through the fabric. Will be using my older pins again...they are much sharper! This is very unusual for Dritz products! Very disappointed in these pins for quilting.1Sharp, fine points; no snagging; pulls easily from fabricThese pins exceed quality of the multi-colored, larger-headed pins. They are easy to insert and remove while sewing. The heads do not come off (like other brands) even when using them on multiple layers. The only negative I can speak of is that they are sharp and they will draw blood if you're careless when using them. That's not a con on the product...actually more of a pro...because the fine point is what you want when you sew...but if you sew a lot, you're going to get stuck and these are needle sharp.I will buy again and again. The Amazon pricing for these pins is excellent compared to my local fabric store pricing.5Nice pins
Nice pins but a few have not been completely sharp. I like the glass head and they are not too flexible as to bend when you slide them in the fabric but I have sharpened a few as they were not sliding into the fabric easily.
4Perfect Pins. Love themThese are the best pins. They are thin and go through all fabrics. I like the length too, as I get older the short pins are difficult for me, and they seem too thick. The glass heads can be ironed over. These pins are perfect.5Great for thin and delicate fabricsI used these to pin and hem a really thin stretchy fabric from a bridesmaid dress. They worked well, no holes after pulling them out, very sharp, and no snags. They went in and came out of the fabric smoothly. Make sure you have a magnet or are good with your pin cushion though. Stepping on one of these wasn't comfortable.5EXCELLENT PINS! So Sharp and Fine.I have bought these pins many times to give as gifts to sewers I teach. They are so fine and SHARP! Lordy I don't know how many times I've seen sewers who use just any pins that are so OLD AND DULL - it just kills me that they have not known about more modern milled pins that work so much better than the older pins. Get yourself some great pins!!!5Sharp but they bend easilyNice sharp pins but they are not strong. They bend way too easily. I tried to cut out a pattern from light weight cotton and they kept bending. I even tried them with an organdy super light weight fabric and when put through more than one layer of fabric, they simply bend. I was hoping these would be on my list of favorite supplies. I'll keep searching.2Love the glass head fine dress pins
Love the glass head fine dress pins. They are very sharp, a little longer than regular straight pins, and you can iron over them and not have them melt onto your iron, or your garment.
