Customer Reviews

LoserYou always think that Dritz is quality....but not this item. The plastic holder slips right off the cushion. It's very tight on the wrist, and I have small wrists. And the edges of it are sharp and scratch your skin. Don't buy this one. 1Too smallThis is an Okay pin cushion, but mounted on a really small plastic wrist band. It is child size. 1Just like my old Stretch and Sew pincushionI had one of these pincushions that I bought years ago at a Stretch and Sew class. It finally bit the dust. This one looks exactly like my old one. Hopefully it will last another 20 years! I have small wrists and it fits perfectly. 5Ouch! Not for me...and I have a slim wristI'm a guy with a slim wrist but this thing is so uncomfortable to wear for pinning. I'm back to using a magnetic brick-type pincushion next to my machine for holding pins. 1Small, but just right for meIt was a nice surprise that I received a 3-pack of these cushions -- I was expecting just one. It came with a red, blue, and yellow tomato cushion, and they're really cute. The cushions are pretty small -- the tomatoes are about 1.5" in diameter, but I'm petite and have tiny wrists, so it works well for me. The velcro was adjustable on my wrist with room to spare (I really have skinny wrists). The pin cushion is reinforced by a hard plastic at the bottom of the tomato, so there is no danger of poking myself if I get too excited with pins and needles. It's cheap -- I mean it's a basic pincushion I didn't need it to be ber-fancy, but it doesn't seem like it'll fall apart right away.It would hold a couple dozen pins and needles, which should work fine for what I do (I normally do cross-stitching and basic sewing). Plus, they gave me three of these, so I can easily use one to hold stuff for cross-stitching, and another for sewing (and I have one extra!), so overall, I am quite happy with this product. 5What a Find! The Dritz felt pin cushion is a fabulous find for me because it fits my wrist perfectly and that means it does not spin around as I move my arms. The felt is very tight so the pins stay in beautifully and I can find nothing wrong with this lovely purchase! 5Shape your wrist-pin cushion to fit!My daughter recommended this wrist-pin cushion for me, and she loves it. She has a smaller wrist than me, and, as is, it fits her comfortably. On me it fitted tight, and was very uncomfortable. To solve this problem, I decided to shaped it. I measured my wrist and searched for a bottle (heat safe) with a circumstance near to that of my wrist's measurement.I boiled some water. Placed the wrist pin-cushion on the lower part of the bottle, I placed it in a container (heat safe) where the top of the bottle rested on the top edge of the container. The bottom of the bottle sat within the container. I posted a picture of the setup. Then, I filled the bottle and container with boiling hot water. The wrist-pin cushion sat in the hot water until the water cooled. Slide the pin cushion up or down on the bottle to have only the wrist section of the plastic in the water, and yet keep the felt section out of the water. After doing this, my wrist-pin cushion fits perfectly. Now, I love it.I wanted to rate it 4.5 stars, but that was not an option. Because I had to reshape it, I reduce the rating a point. Since the plastic is user friendly to allow me to reshape the wristband, I would have returned .5 of a star. I really enjoy using this wrist-pin cushion. It's light weight and stays in place. 4Happy to Have Found ThisIt's like the Stretch 'n Sew I misplaced and it's great and so handy. I have a slightly larger than average wrist and it was tight. I stretched it by clothespinning it to a glass. Perfect now. 4It's okOne reviewer said she got 3, so for $14.00 I was expecting 3. I got one. Not as pictured. (Light blue checkered print wrist strap - which is actually more cute then the green that is pictured I think). It IS small - there is room for it to be bigger in diameter. There is a nice hard plastic bottom inside the pin cushion so I can't stab myself with a pin which is good. I chatted online with Amazon because the description did not say we would get three - but the reviews led me to believe I would. Beware that you can find one in retail stores from $8 - $9 for one of them, which is what I told Amazon. I ended up getting a partial refund because she said she could not send out just two more. The woman said she was going to make a "ticket" if you will, about this product, so hopefully the description will be clarified soon. The thing is, if you can get 3 for $14, it's a great deal. It's so nice to use as you are sewing and pulling the pins out as you go. I can't believe that I have been sewing for so long without one. It seems like a better quality then the other wrist pin cushions that are "pinked" around the edges - this is a tomato pin cushion, so it's good quality - I wish it was bigger though by at least a half in diameter. I also wish I got three of them because I can see that it might wear out fast. Happy sewing everyone! 3DisappointingVery cheaply made; overpriced for what you get. It looks like something you could get at a dollar store. The wrist band is very very small, too small for me and I have small wrists! 2
