Customer Reviews
It's okayI liked it a lot when I first started using it. After a few uses, it seems like the ink is drying out or something and I consistently have to go over what I just marked to get it to show more. It's alright. Probably wouldn't purchase again
3Short-lifeThe water-soluble side was great ...while it lasted. Basely got through a dress with this before it ran out of ink, so now I have to buy another one...but will be looking for another brand. The disappearing ink disappears VERY quickly, so it wasn't a viable option for anything other than 2-3 inch long hand-sewn sections. So - great while it lasts, but might not be the best value per use for your money out there.
3Bright fabric pen that really disappears! This is a great fabric pen! I used it to copy a pattern on cotton fabric and the ink shows up nice and bright. It it very easy to see when cutting. Once you don't need the lines anymore, just rub a bit of water into it and it disappears completely! Even though I knew this was what it was supposed to do, I was still really surprised at how quickly and completely the marks disappeared. I really like the purple color and would definitely buy this again, though it seems like this pen will last me a while!Definitely recommend!
5Game-Changer!!I crochet stuffed animals, and I was having the hardest time attaching various parts centered, level, and evenly. I had the idea to mark my work with regular markers, and ended up ruining a few of my projects because I marked in the wrong place and couldn't get the ink out.Finding these disappearing ink markers was a life-saver!! I use them on 100% acrylic yarn, and the ink goes on very vibrantly and fades to just-visible within a few minutes (which works fine for my purpose). By the time I've attached my piece, I usually can't see any marks at all, but they wipe away easily with a damp cloth. I highly recommend them!
5The ink does not disappear. The ink does not disappear. I have used this on several items that I've embroidered. At first I spritzed the items with water and thought I had the color out, but it left a residual around the edge of the spritzed area. I've had to wash several items to get all the ink out.
1Seems dry but lasts foreverThis is my favorite of all of the disappearing ink pens and chalk products for fabric. For one thing, the top doesn't crack, like my other pens (the blue pen is the WORST when it comes to cracked tops). The ink always seems like it's about to run out, so I take a star away for that...I'd love for it to be thicker or more useful. I always have to backtrack over my markings because they are so light and kind of dry. However, they ink disappears with the slighted spritz of water, which is awesome.I highly recommend this pen to anyone. Way better than chalk for the types of fabric I work with (usually cottons or spandex).
4the thing i always meant to buy...I have always "meant" to get one of these and i never have, thank you amazon prime for reminding me about "ad ons" i keep them in my "save for later" and toss one or two in when i place an order now.that being said, now, i'll never be able to work without one, these are great for anyone that sews, quilts, arts, crafts, the one side with the "air dry" ink for marking, after a while, your marks just fizzle away, so, why wouldn't you use it on something you are putting together?just get one, trust me, you will use it. a lot
5Good for short term, general useOverall, these are useful - with some limitations. The points are big and soft, and the ink spreads. Best used for larger scale markings where the bleed won't matter, or for general pointing marks. Washes out very easily - will even disappear without water if exposed to air long enough. Recommended for very short term marking. Don't count on it to be legible the next day.
4Color doesn t wash out easilyPink disappeared just fine. Left a black line in places that is hard to get out. I m cording some Regency stays and the pen was great for marking the lines. The color does not just wash away with a little water, at least not from cotton sateen. Currently bleaching the stays. I m pretty sure the marks will eventually come out but I won t use this pen again.
3Drys up fast - Dissappears too SoonThis pen doesn't last very long. I have made 4 quilted placements and it seems to be drying up already. Also, I noticed that the ink is beginning to disappear a lot faster than it did when it was new.The price should be a lot less for this because you just cant get that many uses out of it before it starts drying up an disappearing! I found myself going back to my old fashioned chalk!
