    Nothing wrong with them, but I got the wrong kind (twice)These picks are not what I ordered. I was expecting Sharps (like the worn one on top in the first image,) but instead got Tortex IIIs. They're the same material and diameter, but a different shape and size. I play bass, and like the attack and accuracy the Sharps' straight edge gives me on fast or intricate metal songs. These III's I received have a tapered edge, and feel quite a bit bigger by comparison. Since I ordered 72, I'm probably going to return these since they're not useful for the type of music I need them for.EDIT: I decided to contact customer service for a replacement, explaining that I received a different type than what was listed. Once again, they sent me another 72 pack of Tortex IIIs. Now I have 144 picks I can't use and have to send back. (It appears they have been previously opened, presumably by another disappointed customer who returned them.) If you actually want Tortex Sharps, you're taking a risk by ordering them here. Waste of time and money.1Picks are cheap...so much cheaper than effects boxes. You should be trying and buying all sortsGreat hard (ish) pick for me. I use different picks for different styles of music. This is a good one for the rotation. However picks are cheap...so much cheaper than effects boxes. You should be trying and buying all sorts till you figure out which 4 or 5 types work best for your sound. Oh yeah and get a sound (hard to do).The "sharp" style will articulate a little better if that's your thing.Hope this helps.4Ordered SHARP by accident and could not be more happyThought I was getting regular shaped pics and then these arrived. I gave them a try and what a difference. Increased my picking precision and much easier to play with. These chunk into the strings, bringin out those mids and sound great shreddin solos. perfect for some good death/thrash/punk metal!!!5Best Picks Out ThereI've been playing guitar for 12 years now and I've tried different types of picks. All of which I go through in maybe a day cause they wear down due to long play. The tips become too blunt and dont exactly hit the string as intended. My brother handed me this pick. I started using it and didn't realize that I had been using it for about a week with no significant change. The pick stays very pointy and sharp. I also realized this pick is the exact same pick I grabbed off a mainstream band that I saw a year ago. This pick really holds up. And with 12 I've only used 3 and well that's because BLINK AND ITS GONE!! Highly recommend these picks for anyone who plays that really wants a durable and long lasting guitar pick.5Bulk pack - never be in need of a pick again!Not much to say here. Picks are typically personal preference, but Dunlop always does a great job with quality. I have never had one of these picks break while playing. Even trying to bend one in half does little to no damage.The sharp picks provide a little more control when playing - especially for lead guitar riffs and solos. I use them for chords and rhythm playing as well though, especially when I want to work in a little more 'flavor' to my acoustic playing. This thickness provides a decent amount of give while allowing a strong attack when playing hard.The one downside is I occasionally find the printing rubbing off on my fingers after prolonged playing, but this washes off easily and really isn't too inconveniencing.For the price, you can't do better. I keep these next to my guitar stand and whenever I am in need of a pick, they're right there. I've had these a while and play at least once a day, and the pack has barely been dented.5Best picks to useThe point on these picks allows them to naturally hit the string a little harder, which means you don't need to put as much effort into hitting the string while also getting a full strike. Works for death metal. I can't play any other pick besides these.5Great pics, but you might want thicker onesI've used the regular Dunlop Tortex 1.0mm picks for awhile, and just ordered these for the first time recently. I like them a lot, but removing some of the material at the end of the pick makes them slightly easier to bend.If you *really* want sharp pics that feel like the regular (blue) 1.0mm Dunlops, you might want to try out the sharp (purple) 1.14mm ones.5Rigid and durableComing from using Jazz IIIs, using the sharps wasn't an entirely smooth transition from those. Since it's larger than the Jazz IIIs, more of the pick grabs the strings, which requires me to use a bit more muscle/force than usual to get the same fluidity as I do with the Jazz IIIs.Other than that, I like these pickups quite a bit now. I went from using them for half of my playtime (to get used to them.), to using them from the start of my playtime until I'm done playing. They are pretty durable, I'd estimate that playing with one for an hour or two a day for 2 weeks will probably wear it down enough to warrant using a fresh one (depending on how much force you apply to your strings.).5THESE HAVE BECOME MY GO TO PICKS!I've played many picks over the years.I was given these picks as a present originally.Usually, I played regular picks without such a refined pointed tip. So, it was a complete accident that I started using these. Luckily, I've found these to be my go to picks when buying new ones these days. The pointed tip really helps to get a sharper tone that I go for in my playing. Obviously, you could get the same tone with many other picks if you know how. Though, these picks don't seem as big as a normal pick. They're a little thinner on the sides. I enjoy that fact because I'm impartial to smaller ones. That's just my style I guess.Hope this helps in making a decision to buy these or not.If nothing else, you can always buy a pack and see if it fits your playing style. Or maybe it'll help you get inspired to write something new.Either way, I enjoy them. Maybe you will too.5
