Customer Reviews

Nice picks but real stuff! These are nice pics and they work just fine. They are super super stiff and heavy duty. Are usually have lighter pics but I thought I would try some heavy duty ones. These produce a louder tone but you have to raise the action on your guitar because it will make the string vibrate a little harder. These are nice pics and they work just fine. They are super super stiff and heavy duty. I usually have lighter pics but I thought I would try some heavy duty ones. These produce a louder tone but you have to raise the action on your guitar because it will make the string vibrate a little harder. I now have switched to a thumb pic and like it better though.5Still not as good as the original Jazz IIIWell, at this point i have tried all the variations of Jazz III picks....including the boutique John Petrucci models...nothing works as well as the original red Jazz III picks...the XL's are too big and basically ruin the speed that the smaller Jazz IIi offers....save yourself disappointment...start with the original Jazz III or stick with them...that's what i am doing from now on....20 years later... :)Daniel3if you love jazz 3 picks but just want a standard tortex ...if you love jazz 3 picks but just want a standard tortex style size its the perfect picki love jazz 3 picks (the small ones) but they always hurt the side of my finger nail for some reason i guess i hold it a bit different from the size trying to get more grip on itdefinitely better then tortex you don't get that scratchy kind of sound when playing lead or open palm muting on the low e stringgive them a try more then sure you will love thembucket head made dunlop make this pick for a reason lol5The best picks EVER!I have tried a plethora of guitar picks over the years. I have tried many styles and many materials. These picks are by far the best I have ever used. They are also the only picks I have used that have no difficulty or issues with any style you play. You can shred with these. You can play chunky rhythms. You can do all your squeals and squaws. There are no limits to these picks. Buy them and you won't be disappointed. The last picks used before I converted to these were the big stubby series. Stubby's were great but they like to get jagged rough edges do to weak soft material. This would hinder playing treble strings horribly. The Jazz III XL do not do this what so every and yet they are so smooth and just glide through the treble strings with no problems.5Great (larger) alternative to Dunlop Jazz IIIIf like me, the Dunlop Jazz III is too small or you like more of the pick to grip, this is the perfect pick. I love the Jazz III, but the Jazz III-XLs are just the right size for my liking.5I love it!I have used the smaller Jazz threes which I liked but they were just too small. I've used these X cells and they deliver the same great tone in a larger pic so it's easier to hold. These pics are made of nylon and they are 1.14 mm if I remember correctly. I really like the Dunlop Max grip nylon pics but I also like the TIII tortex picks. These Jazz III XL Picks are nice blend of features. This is definitely one of my top 3 favorite picks.5Better Size for Larger HAndsMuch better size than the Jazz III standard size.I'm a big guy 6'4" and the Jazz III is too small. I end up pinching unfomfortably. This pick is just big enough to pick properly without having to think about grippability!Tone is great and no chirping!5Jazz Picks For Large HandsI ve always been a Dunlop fan, and have always liked the precision you get from jazz style picks. That being said, my large hands made it difficult to use such small picks. Enter these little titans, that give you that average pick size while having the jazz tip. These sound amazing and are much easier to use for someone with larger hands. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a jazz pick on the larger size.5Great pick, non slip surface, very stiff, long lastingGreat pick for lead. Although it is not a thick pick, it is very stiff, which works great. Also, the surface of the pick is textured with the name which gives you more stability when your hand gets sweaty. I do think that this pic is very specific for those that are you still using the pic like this. But they were great and the quality is amazing. They take a long time to wear down5A good all around plectrum,The red dunlop Jazz III XL is made of the same smooth nylon that the regular red Jazz III is made of, only it is slighly larger in length and width but not in thickness (YEAH!!!). The regular red is popular with too many guitarists to mention here, and for good reason it is very smooth in texture and plays quickly with a nice snappy release and a firm reponsive feel. It doesn't color the sound of your picking with unpleasant overtones or plinkyness, and it is pretty durable. I like the XL size better because I have thick hands and fingers and it is easier for me play than the smaller regular jazz III. The XL extends far enough out from my grip that the meat or muscle in back the thumb does not extend beyound the plectrum, this is important when crosspicking quickly, the regular Jazz III is sometimes just too small in my grip. Of the 3 picks I am most likely to pick up this is the number 2. I particularly like it's sound for jazz playing and for rhythm track strumming on acoustics when a hard pick like Clayton ultex's can sometimes be too sharp sounding. Interestingly this is one of very few picks I have found that record and sound good playing nylon string guitars, most likely because of its smoothness of texture. I really wish Dunlop Co. would make ther ultem jazz III in XL size it would probably be my new favorite.. The price for a pack like all dunlop products is very reasonable, now go play guitar..5
