    Best F#$^ng Picks - Definitely worth a tryThese are by far my favorite picks. I've tried so many other picks, shapes, sizes, gauges, etc and keep coming back to these. I'd say these are better for lead, but still really good for rhythm. If you are used to a larger more standard sized pick, then these might take some getting used to, but I feel like I have more control with them. You have more space to move around in between the strings and get get more accurate quickly.I use the 1.14mm ones - I have these as well as the white ones just to switch up the colors, but it's great. If you like everything about these except wish they were a tad bit larger, then the Jazz III XLs would be another perfect pick.The only minor complaint I have is that the edges wear down quickly, as with any tortex pick, so I go through a pick every 2 hours of hard playing, but that's just me. The tip will stay sharp for a long time unless all you do is pick sliding. The good thing though is that they're reasonably priced.5Everything you want in a guitar pick.I rarely write reviews but needed to do one for these. I've played guitar for over 14 years, and have used a lot of picks in that time. For the longest period of that time I settled on the Dunlop Jazz IIIs because they have the best control and precision of any pick I've used. However, for some songs and purposes I like to use the tortex material picks for their sharper and brighter attack.So I finally stumble upon Jazz IIIs made of the tortex material and it's a match made in heaven. You really won't find any pick (that I know of) with better precision and accuracy while retaining the clarity and crisp/snappy attack of the tortex material. They also grip very nicely in your fingers and don't slide around as much as the regular Jazz IIIs.All in all, these are the best picks I've ever used and I feel like I've finally found the perfect pick. The combination of size, shape and material allow me to get the control I need for complex songs over a range of genres, but I can also get up and strum the hell out of a punk rock song. Highly, highly recommend.5Almost the perfect pick.I got so used to the regular jazz III pick that a normal pick is too cumbersome. For me, the tortex version just feels better. Its only like a millimeter or half a millimeter bigger than the standard shiny red jazz iii but the tortex material is just more comfortable. Although what I just found out is because of that bit of difference in friction, the pick does tend to slide further into my grip after about 10-15 minutes. Not a huge problem since I might take a knife and put a few lines in it.72 of em might be a lifetime supply since I tend to hang on to them until I cant reshape the tip anymore.*Edit*They dont slide in my grip at all. I forgot I had a thin layer of super glue covering a wound on my thumb.5Give these a try, and I think you won't go back to larger, clunkier picks.I got a pick approximately the size of these Jazz III picks (only a tad bit larger) with a tablature book that a friend gave me as a Christmas gift. At first, the pick felt a bit weird. It is significantly smaller than a standard Tortex pick. After a while, I got used to it and noticed that I had much more control over my picking and strumming than before. I decided I wanted to pick a few of these up, which (as I mentioned before) are a tad bit smaller than the pick I got with the tablature book. These picks allowed me the same control and feel great to play with. I imagine if you drop your pick often, these might help the problem. Try these out, you won't regret it.5Great picks , wear fairly quickly but that s okIf you play guitar you know that the hunt for the perfect pick is a long one and that it will happen several times throughout your playing career. If you didn t know that - we ll now you do. Even the greats go through this. So of course the mediocresike yours truly is no exception. I have played more picks than you can imagine - and had settled on some $25-$30 picks for quite some time. Then I realized I need to experiment again for reasons I won t go into here. Bottom line - I like those picks - just the right of texture and flexibility as well as rigidity. I ve tried multiple gauges but settled I think on 1.35 for now. The downside of these is I wear them out quickly and for me that important. Some players like the wear marks on their picks - I like very slight bevels from play g but these will lose that point if you play like I do. Think several thousand pick strokes per practice session. The good thing is - they re fairly cheap. I bought a bag of 72 and it should last me for a while. If you gig- this gives you a good reason to toss them at your adoring fans without guilt 4These are my forever picksWas referred to these guitar picks by my guitar teacher - These drastically increased my accuracy in picking and once I got used to the size I was able to succesfully use these for strumming chords just like any other pick. I will probably never use any other style of pick again. These are fantastic, the size is weird to get used to though.5Accuracy booster!!! Try them and stick with them (they may feel strange at first) and you'll be glad you did!I recently switched from standard-sized picks to the Jazz III picks. My accuracy is SO much better now. I recently tried one of my regular picks and it felt uncomfortably huge. I mean... HUGE! And awkward.I will be a Jazz III user for life now.I have three different kind of Jazz III picks:Tortex 1.0mmNylon 1.38mmKirk Hammett Signature (unsure of thickness)I like them all and couldn't say that any one is better than the others. The Kirk Hammett one has a notch cut out in the top to help with grip. I'm unsure of how well it performs this function, but they can feel weird to a new user.I've always loved Tortex and nylon, so I switch between all three types. It would be nice if they sold a mix of all three types so you could try them all.5These picks are great but...Even though they re Tortex and they do sound like Tortex off the strings they have more of a plastic feel. I compared these picks with standard Tortex and Gator Grip of the same size. The Torex Jazz3s seem to have more of a standard Tortex sound but has a size dimensions of a jazz 3 which is great! Compared to the gator grip it seems to lose out on drive and tone on the lower strings but ends up mellowing out the harshness you get from the gator grip on the high strings. I cannot deny picking individual strings feel amazing on this pick and catching a string or two for chord drives sounds awesome and seems to always be smooth regardless of you re delivery. I am still sticking the Gator Grip out but man, this pick is in my rotation for sure. I ll put pictures of a size comparison to a standard gator grip.5Goldielocks would approve ...I have difficulty with standard sized picks. No matter what I do, they always find a way to fly out of my hand. I am rather fond of teardrop picks because they seems to offer more control and stay where they belong. The drawback is that they always felt too small and lacked the ability to get leverage for stronger picking when dynamics call for it.I thought I would give these picks a shot. I got the 0.50mm, and I love them. They are not too big, not too small, stay where they belong, open my dynamic range ... well heck, they just feel right. This is my initial impression, but I have to say that I am very impressed with this design and material. Just like my preferred brand and type of strings, I think I may have found my go-to picks.If you have control issues like I described above, these may just fit the bill for you. They are certainly worth a try.5Great pick. Good size and toneNot sure how one can review picks other than build quality. One should understand variation on pick attack and tone based on ones own guitar, strings and pick material used. So it is subjective. I first bought a sample pack of the JAZZ selections, which brought me to buy this particular pick. For my case, i liked the feel and thickness. As for tone for my guitar, it gave me a warmer richer sound based on my own guitar and strings used. So again, I would buy a sampler pack for one deciding on choosing a pick for their particular use. I use this one for my Acoustic mostly, but I also use 3 other types of pick for my acoustic depending on song, situation (picking or strumming) or sound i'm going for. Same with electric. Again, for me and my set up, this gave me the warmer tone i was looking for, as my guitar was brighter naturally. Go for what works with your setup or use case.5
