    Great for making Scrabble wall tiles!Perfect! I used these to make the number on Scrabble letters for wall decorations. The Scrabble tiles are 4" wide by 4.5" tall. These numbers were the perfect size to go with the 3" letters. Very happy!5Sturdy and Got the Job Done!These stencils came as promised. They are sturdy and easy to use. Extra vowel letters are provided to help speed along your project. I used these stencils to apply fabric paint to sweatshirts using a sponge application in an up and down motion. Very minimal bleeding, if at all - and I was not being very careful! These are sturdy enough to be used time and time again, though I imagine after several projects you may want a new set. For the price it's definitely worth it. I did not bother cleaning the stencil after use as water will most likely weaken the integrity of the card stock. Did the job and looked great.5Duro Stencil-it lettering set 1/2"Not a bad set or stencils. However, there was only one "1" which made my particular requirement a bit awakward. If you are carful with them they can be used a number of times. They are a paper/cardboard type which will tear when removing them, if you are using making tape to hold them in place. I didn't check them all but there seems to be two of each letter.4Horrible smell and hard to separate...Only 3 stars The smell is horrific. It's an hour job to get them separated. Some edges needs to be cut, that you will get a clear line. I need to put them outside to get rid of the smell. Guess you can use them more than once, since the letters are not all centered it is hard to build clear words with same space.3They are easy to use and there are extras of commonly used lettersI opened the package, laid the letters out and used a 4 inch roller to stencil the words. Fortunately I had a large enough board already cut to size to make the sign for a solar and energy efficiency tour I was hosting. I was a little sloppy so went back after drying and touched up the mishaps. It really was easy and the sign is large enough to be seen.5They warpAny letter stencil is easy to use, but for the price and description, I expected to be able to clean and reuse these. Nope. They absorbed the least bit of Moira and warped. I had to press them between waxed paper with books on top. And the waxed paper stuck. These stencils are not made for paint.1DurableAs described! Held up for stenciling on walls. Had to reuse the number 0 many times and it was fine5Worked great for spray painting signs.These did the trick, durable enough for multiple uses. Used spray paint, they did allow a tiny bit of overspray from inside the letters but this could be easily remedied by holding the can back further so the 'blast' from the can didn't push under the stencil. Would buy again if needed, good deal for the price.5Worked wellI was stenciling for the first time and was actually pleasantly surprised with these. It works better to tape the letters down on the top and bottom with small pieces of painting tape. I used Rustoleum chalk paint and it worked well to control bleeding. It is true that you should tap it up and down with a stenciling brush to avoid as much bleeding as possible and tap off excess paint. Separating the letter and numbers were time consuming and not all the letters and numbers matched the spacing on top, bottom, and sides so I had to cut some to match. For duplicate letters, you can just remove the letter right after you stencil and place them in your new spot. I did have to stencil 2 coats, it looks better. Looks like you can use them several times before they start to shred.5Difficult to discriminate between many lettersThe stencil did its job. These are probably stamped out in complete sets then folded to fit in the package. As you unfold the letters, it's like a Chinese puzzle. (Remember that the letters are reversed so it would help if you're an old-time typesetter used to reading backwards.). The letters are not necessarily in alphabetical order, so you can't just count one-to-26 and know what letter you're looking at because some are duplicated. Like I said, it worked. I had to lay it out on the living room rug and have two people proof read it and still got one letter wrong.4
