    Handy and works wellAlthough it probably just contains baby powder of some sort {at least that's what it smells like}, this powder tool is cheap enough just to buy, plus I don't have to make one out of nylons, and it works! It has a nice 'almost paintbrush' like applicator, which is very well controlled to get coverage on the paper without 'running' out onto my paper. It deposits a Very light suggestion of powder, which seems to eliminate the static, and keeps the embossing powder on the image and not scattered all over the paper. It doesn't leave that much on the paper to really notice, even black paper, and since it works . . .well . . it's great.5Easy, less mess, better results, refillable This is by far the best anti Static tool I ve ever used. I like that it has a brush so I don t end up with power all over my hands like with the little powder pillows . This has a cap for the brush when not being used. So there isn t powder loosely falling out. You have better control of the amount of powder being applied. The brush is lighter and gentler vs rubbing a bag of powder on materials. I ve used the little Embossing antistatic pillows . They tend to lose a lot of powder and can get messy. Once the powder is all gone, it can t be refilled so you have to purchase another. This tool is easy to refill. All you need is baby powder. Cheaper in the long term refilling vs purchasing replacement products. 5GIVES A SWIFT BOOT TO GLUE BOOGERS!!! I love this powder tool! It bothers me no end to have a miniscule glue booger make the card I've just made STICK to the envelope!!! I've tried pencil erasers, my fingertip and even rolled up pieces of tape to locate these boogers and remove them from my cards. I couldn't even see them sometimes --- these boogers were that small. So I tried using a rubber cement eraser around the glued edges to pick up any remaining glue residue.I finally bought this EK tool and I am in heaven!!! Whatever miniscule glue boogers remain are rendered powerless to stick to my envelopes. Problem solved. By the way, if you have a large area of glue to remove, powdering before you try to remove it definitely makes it easier to remove/ but you still need to whisk this powder brush over your card before sending.For those of you who have had your brush clog on you, turn the bottle brush side up and give it a few blunt taps to dislodge the clog (I do this routinely while I work), then turn the bottle bottom up and give it a firm shake. Your brush will be ready to use again. 5Nice tool, annoying lidI purchased this tool as an anti-static tool for heat embossing. The powder smells nice and the fact its refillable is great and will save me a lot of money in the future.The one thing I was not so happy about (and maybe I just got a lemon...) is that the lid will not go back so easily, and every time I try to put it back I feel it's going to be my last time as it's going to break.. I hope others that have this tool don't have this problem because it's really annoying.Other than that, this tool is great.3DANGEROUS piece of junk Why isn't this tool sold empty with no powder inside? Mother's Day gift for my crafter wife (something she asked for). Immediate and serious ALLERGIC reaction upon opening it!!! She knows what kind of powder to put inside the thing and didn't need (or appreciate) it being pre-filled with whatever nasty smelling (scented) compound is in the thing. As others are noting here, the brush clogs (darn powder is so tacky, clumped inside) and the cap is difficult to open. Lucky for us, I had to take the cap off and her distance away prevented the need for an eppy pen and ER visit. Packaging and this Amazon listing should carry a warning! 1... the powder in a container with a brush is great. The cap is a disappointment The convenience of having the powder in a container with a brush is great. The cap is a disappointment. Why couldn't you have put a screw top on it. It is extremely difficult to remove the cap. Also a cap with a ring to hold it on the container would have been a good idea. When you take this with you wherever you are scrapping, you don't want to have to work so hard to take the cap off and to make sure you don't lose it while you are scrapping. 3A very useful tool, great brush that brushes on the powder ... I was debating on how many stars to give this product due to the following reason:PRO: A very useful tool, great brush that brushes on the powder lightly, not overdoing it. Also, the bottom cap screws off making the tool refillable. Great for brushing pages after heat embossingCON:The cap is SO confusing and very difficult to remove...at first. I had to come to Amazon and pore through the user reviews before I found an awesome review that showed you can flip the cap off by pushing on it an angle with your thumb. The cap IS NOT TWIST OFF, as I had originally thought.In all I would give this product a 3.5 star review just for the initial lack of ease in using it and the effort I had to exert in finding out how to take off the cap, which should be a very easy thing to do. Also, in comparison to other EK Success products I have owned, this products use is not as intuitive. 4Fast shipping Great product for wet embossing. I have the little bags of anti-static powder but they always seem to get buried amongst the scrapbook supplies on my desk. This tool's size allows it to stand up on it's own and be seen. And since it's capped, I can store in the container of embossing powders and not get the powder all over the embossing powder containers. 5Ek powder tool! This tool is Awesome! I have one of the embossing buddies as well and this is so much better because it doesn't leave powder everywhere. It's all closed up. You can also refill it which I think is awesome! 5Cap is NOT a TWIST OFF! I would of given this product another star but after spending quite some time trying to get the cap off before coming back here and checking other reviews, it gets only 3. The cap is NOT a twist off! Hold product in your hand and pop it off with your thumb....easy (once you figure that out) 3Highly recommend for paper crafters! Ok so I never thought I would need a tool for embossing but I gave in and bought this little beauty. I now use it all the time, not only for prepping my paper for embossing (to remove static) but also for removing any residue left over from sticky adhesive tags, stickers or the similar. Works like a charm to remove the stickiness! Definitely recommend. 5Great tool-here is a tip on the cap removalI just can't say enough good things about EK tools and this is another great product. This is my second EK powder tool, my sister took my first one! For those struggling with the top- I hear you. I found an easy way to open every time. The cap needs to be removed at an angle. See pictures. You can also use two hands and open like you are snapping a twig. It doesn't take a lot of force-or it might break.5This tool is genius Much easier to work with and store than the little dusting bag. This powder tool tools the only one of its kind that I've been able to find. It releases a small amount of fine powder that eliminates static cling on your medium's surface allowing for a cleaning and image embossed image. Also great for removing the tacky surface of stickers.The best price I've ever been able to find is here on Amazon. Actually to be honest had a hard time finding this in any of the several major craft stores I frequent in my area. So when I brought this item I purchased. two at the same time for about the same price that most places online charge for just one. The power does a floral almost talcum powder fragrance. So those who have allergies or a sensitive to Smells may need to take that into consideration. I personally love it. Now the tool is refillable however I have yet to find any place in store or online that sells any sort of refill. Also the packaging does not list the ingredients of the powder. Leaving you to have to repurchase a brand new tool. And trust me I've done extensive research on the matter and still came up with nothing. Other than that it is my go-to tool. I am satisfied with my purchase. 5
