    Paints a large area in short amount of time!I've been using those small chalk paint brushes for quite some time now. Recently discovered this and decided to purchase - no regrets! Covers a very large area in a short amount of time, cleans easily, and is great quality. Definitely recommend this to my fellow chalk painters!! You won't be disappointed.5Love these!I do a lot of crafting and painting. You never know about brushes when you order online. But I have used these like crazy! They have been great for chalk painting and just as good if you are applying a glaze or a clear coat. I like the sizes and they can get into smaller areas. So good on small pieces that need painting.5Absolutely not....There I was standing in the wimsical morning shade ready to apply my FolkArt chalk paint to mason jars. I was happy to finally start my epic project. I picked up the paint brush and I swiped and I stroked.. only to find that my paint brush was not a paint brush at all, but a trader to the paint world, for it had shed it's brush hairs and started to wither away like petals from a rose. My mason jar had fell victim to a villainous shedding brush. Alas, I found no reason to continue using this advertised brush from Grand Father YouTube and instead picked up my magical globe and called on the Wizard of Amazon to send me the best brushes they had from a far away land. Those shall arrive via the horse drawn carriage tomorrow all the way from the mystical titans warehouse. I shall never again take the opinion of an endorsed video from the enlightened YouTube again.1May work for wax, but not for chalk paintAfter reading that others have used these brushes with success for chalk paint, I decided to invest in these rather than the 'cheap' hardware store brushes. I should have stuck with the hardware store variety. I ended up with the bristles of the brush everywhere throughout my project and had to go back, pick them out, and repaint the area. This made the process even more tedious than it already is. I have not used them for wax yet. I'm waiting to get another brush to put a final coat of chalk paint on my project before waxing, because I just cannot put a third coat of pain on using this brush. If it works well for wax, I suppose they will be worth the purchase for many. I was just looking forward to having a set of 2 brushes at a reasonable price that I could use for the painting and waxing. Unfortunately, that didn't work out like I had hoped.3A little smaller than expected but very good qualityI was happy with these brushes but they were a bit smaller than I expected. It actually worked out well considering that I bought them to paint my dining room table with and have lots of nooks to get into.This was my first ever chalk painting project and these brushes made it much easier for me. I didn't think it was necessary to purchase these for the chalk paint, or the wax but I was wrong. I tried both a normal paint brush and this brush and the difference with how much easier the paint is applied with these is substantial. SOOOO much easier to apply the paint with these as it holds more paint, and helps to prevent any drips or streaks in the paint.I will be purchasing these again.4Bristles kept coming out into the paint and ruining the project! Little bits and hairs kept coming out as I painted. I had to keep picking them off of the project and try to catch them as they stuck out the end. I ended up with paint all over my hands trying to salvage it from having little bristles dried into the paint. Went straight into the trash, and I ll be buying a different brand to finish my other pieces! Not worth the money! 1Love this gadgetI love to paint. Give me a paintbrush or a spray can and I'm happy as can be. I'm always looking for new toys in the painting department and found a doozy in this one. Naturally, I do a lot of distressing as that's the current style...and a style i love, by the way. This tool, though, means I can "distress" to my heart's content indoors! There's no sanding required. Dip this simple woodblock in a very small amount of paint and gently swipe it where you would expect to see distressing. Voila! No more making your arm sore using sandpaper on a large project. Add another color, if you like, for that layered distressed effect. It does take a bit of practice at first, but once you get it down, it's such a time saver. Plus, you don't have to layer all those colors under the entire project to get the proper effect. Clean up is easy...soap and water. And yes, it works well with chalk type paints.5While it's a tedious process, I know the results will be worth ...I'm in the process of using chalk paint to paint our kitchen cabinets. While it's a tedious process, I know the results will be worth it in the end. I needed a brush to apply the wax to the finished project and ended up getting this set from Plaid. It's a great set! It came with two brushes for the price of what others were charging for one brush. The brushes are stiff (which is what you want when you are working with wax or stenciling) and easy to clean. I didn't notice any bristles loosening while using it (I tugged on them beforehand to make sure). I liked that there was a circular sized wax brush and also a brush that wasn't as wide and thinner. That brush made it easier to get wax into smaller areas of my cabinets. I will be using these brushes to do a couple of other smaller chalk paint projects as well as a piece of furniture I plan to refinish. These would also make great brushes for stenciling (which I also do a lot of) so I plan to get another set!5A must for large areasI thought that I could use a regular 2" paint brush for my bathroom cabinets that I was painting with chalk paint. WRONG. The first coat took 4+ hours and I could not go through that again for the second and ordered this. The second coat with this brush took about one hour.4Works great!This worked great for me when I painted my coffee table. I was worried that I would be able to see the streak marks from the brushes but after the paint dries it went away. I m not sure if it was because of how careful I was to paint the same direction every stroke but it looks great! I washed it out after with just water and Dawn dish soap and it looks pretty much as good as new, ready for the next project!5Only used it once but so far so good. No shedding with first use. Feels durable & sturdy. Handle easy to hold.5The only reason for 2 stars Is because it was great while it lasted This brush completely fell apart after only a few uses. I painted 2 nightstands and an entry table. Half way through the 3rd project chunks of the brush started falling out and getting stuck in the paint and furniture! Then as I was rinsing it off the whole entire brush came undone! Piece of junk! The only reason for 2 starsIs because it was great while it lasted. Just wish it would've lasted longer than 3 uses.. 2
