335 case too deep for 335 sized guitars.I bought this for my Gretsch G5622t Semi-hollow, and based on the reviews, and the fact that it was advertised for a 335, the fit would be spot on. It's my 3rd or 4th Gator case, and I'm happy with the product and construction, but was kind of bummed that it's too deep for the guitar body. I need to bunch up a few microfiber cloths to hold up the body so the neck sits level across the 2 supports.Initially, I thought maybe this was because it was a Gretsch and not an actual 335, but I've tried an Epi Sheraton in the case, and it does the same thing. So it's not perfect, and as a result it's a little thick and bulky for no reason. I'm not sure why this is labeled as a 335 fit case, when it's clearly not the right dimensions.Since I bought it from Amazon, I took a chance, and didn't want to bother sending it back, so I make do.3Solid Light-to-Medium Duty CaseThis is a well-built case that will probably fit almost any bass as long as it's not an unusual shape or size. I bought it for an ESP LTD B-5E 5-string. I was worried that it would be too small, but on the contrary, there is actually a little bit (maybe an inch or two) of extra space in there. I will probably be adding some custom-cut foam (or if I'm lazy, just a rolled-up old t-shirt) to keep the bass from sliding around inside the case, although for light duty like going to rehearsals and local gigs, it's probably fine as it is.The interior is a nice, soft plush material, and the neck support area is tapered so that just about any neck should rest comfortably in it. There are storage areas on either side of the neck support. Neither of them have lids and, as some others have mentioned, neither of them is wide enough to fit a package of strings. But they fit your strap and other smaller accessories nicely.Given the excellent price, I am prepared to accept a few minor shortcomings like the size and lack of lids for the storage areas. This isn't the "perfect" case, and it's not for heavy-duty touring. But for light-to-medium duty, it will protect your axe well, and that's all I ask.5Basic guitar case that works wellThis case fits my PRS SE Custom 24 very well. It's also very light and protective enough for every day use lugging the guitar around. I dont think I'd check it through as airline luggage though. It has two decent sized compartments on either side of the neck which hold their contents when the main lid is closed (but there are no separate lids on the compartments as on more expensive cases).I opted for this over a more expensive Gator case that used tolex over plywood mainly because this was less expensive and in line with the price of the guitar in it. That said, I have a few guitars in covered plywood cases and I think the molded plastic cases may hold desirable humidity in better than the plywood versions... the humidifiers I put in the plastic cases dont seem to dry out as fast in the winter. I don't need it to look pretty, just for it to do it's job. I read both the negative and positive reviews, and I took the approach of receiving this case with an open mind. After all, Gator is not one of those fly-by-night Amazon brands you never heard of.Once I took the case out of the cardboard box yesterday, I noticed how light it was (I have conflicting theories on whether this is good or bad). The physical appearance of this case reminds me of my 1980's Gibson "chainsaw" case, only the Gibson was way more robust. The Gibson case was a monocoque design and this is more of a shell. The latches and hinges seem adequate but not robust. After all, this is a $100 case.Opening it up is where the bad starts to reveal itself. My 2015 Gibson comes with the gold ABS rectangular case. The Gibsons don't fit it well and adjustments needed to be made by either supporting below the body or at the neck. The Gator case is similar, but worse. Notice the gap at the neck/head side. Also, the neck will move up/down (left/right). Neither the scooped area for the neck near the body, or headstock is sufficient to prevent the neck from dive-bombing when the case is in a held position. The foam used is EPS (same stuff in bike helmets), and the fabric is cheap and thin (nothing like the Gibson fabrics). The storage compartment flap is thin and does not stay down. I clasp or something similar would keep it in place.I've had plenty of SKB cases for several different industries including outside the music industry. None of which have disappointed me. I chose this case over the SKB due to simplicity. I didn't want the TSA latches due to them sticking out considerably more than the basic latches.At this point, I say that spending $100 extra for a Gibson case may be best. I don't know if I will return this case, or modify it to actually work. I bought this to protect my 2019 Gibson thinking that the gig bag would not be sufficient. I wish Gibson would give the option to give you a gig bag or case when you purchase. Two prices including the guitar would be a good idea. I wonder if the new Levi's CEO will think of it....btw, some of you may comment that the case is not designed for flat tops. Please don't focus on that since that doesn't impact the neck fitment issues. Also, I realize that Gibson still needs to get the neck angle on all their guitars to match, but this one is not bad. I think my two star rating is generous. I gave it an extra star for the simplicity. Quality and attention to detail gets about 1 star. I rarely write review, but I wanted you all to know.Rob2Ibanez RG6003FM fits perfectThe reviews seemed mostly positive, but some said their Ibanez RG fit and others said it didn't.I decided to take a chance and it fits perfect! Great upgrade from a gig bag and for taking from studio to apartment. I absolutely love this case, its like the neck cutout was made for my Ibanez RG Wizard III neck!Latches are somewhat cheap, but if you are careful with them they will be just fine.I got a used one from Amazon Warehouse and its in mint condition. I highly recommend this case over the $55 Chromacast one from what ive seen and read.5Extremely disappointed with this productExtremely disappointed with this product. The latches on this case are complete garbage and flip open at the slightest touch. The exterior plastic itself may seem tough but was cracked upon arrival.I'm a US Marine living overseas and I am frankly too busy to deal with the headache of returning this very underwhelming product. This case, which probably cost the manufacturer under $5 to produce, is clearly not worth the $100.I would strongly urge anyone considering this guitar case to go to another manufacturer.1Very poorly made with cheap and flimsy hardware.Given the reviews I was surprised at the dismal quality. Knew it was going back as soon as I pulled it out of the box as it just exuded "cheap and flimsy". Did not fit together properly with noticeable gaps on both ends when closed. Low-grade, poorly fitted and finished hardware, the latches in particular. I wasn't expecting it to be a flight case of course but I'd put the value of this at around half of the actual price and even that might be a bit generous. Again, given the reviews, maybe they've changed suppliers (or it's a knockoff) as it's a little hard for me to believe that the case I received would have garnered the reviews I read here before purchasing.1Nice CaseI've always had the wood hard cases for my guitars, so I decided to try the moulded type thinking that it will stay nicer longer than the wood ones which seem to crack or have the tolex peel off.The information on the internet about this case is pretty spartan... I had a hard time finding any real useful info, so here's my report:-The case has 4 latches, not 3 like in the image shown. One of the latches is locking. There is a name tag plate near the handle.-The foam is very stiff on the inside; think styrofoam rather than sofa cushion. There is a softer padded area which contacts the bridge/string area. Everything is covered in a fairly thin feeling plush fuzzy material.-There are two 14" long storage compartments, one on either side of the neck. There are no lids for the compartments except for when you close the case.-The open rectangular body cavity is 13-5/8" wide by 20.5" long on the bass side and 21" long on the treble side (there is a step at the lower bout area).-The headstock area is full width and 10.5" long. It goes deeper than the main body area to allow for angled back headstocks.-The maximum length inside is 47.5"Overall the quality seems pretty nice, at least as nice as any wooden case I have, and should protect as well or better. It doesn't seem any heavier either.4Fits a Fender/Squire StarcasterI purchased this in order to store and transport a 2019 Squire Classic Vibe Starcaster, and despite having obsessively measured the guitar and checked it against the stated specs of this case, I was a little nervous when the package arrived last night. I needn't have been; it fits wonderfully, and is neither too snug nor too loose. The latches are fine, there's some very minor give in the side of bottom swell of the case, but it's overall sturdy and I have no worries about whether it'll be able to protect what's inside. Fender/Squire have so far declined to produce a case designed for this particular reissue, but whether you're an old, new, or prospective Starcaster owner, I can assure you that this case from Gator will fit the bill (and, more importantly, your instrument).5Fits Paul Reed Smith (PRS) 30th Anniversary SE Floyd Custom 24 Solidbody Electric GuitarBought this to protect my Paul Reed Smith (PRS) 30th Anniversary SE Floyd Custom 24 Solid body Electric Guitar.
