Good casual case that fits a Strat wellThe outer covering is nice. It fits a Stratocaster very well. The inside is nicely padded and looks good, with a good storage compartment inside. The main case material used has some flex to it and is fairly light in weight, FWIW. Comes with two keys. Hardware looks good.For toting a guitar around town and other low stress applications this would be an excellent and cost effective choice. If you are planning on touring, you might want to get something better.I am happy with my purchase so far.4Works PerfectlyWhen I received the case, it was well packaged and had no immediate visible flaws. I love that it included two keys, since I share my instrument with another person. I ordered the bass guitar version to fit a Warwick Streamer LX, and it looked like an extremely loose fit at first. Luckily, the case clamps down tight enough on the bass when the lid is shut, so it won't be going anywhere. Overall its a great deal and worth the money!5Not a hard use itemGood fit for a new Jazzmaster that's mostly kept at home and rarely travels. Not something I'd recommend for heavy use. Generally, a seemingly well put together item, although the latches needed some unexpected guidance initially. Pretty good, considering the price.I like this case less each time it's used. It is flimsy and likely will not provide much more protection than cardboard. The latches continue to be an issue.20 Feb 2020 update: I have stopped using this case and replaced it with a Fender Deluxe Molded Jaguar - Jazzmaster Electric Guitar Case, as seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Fender-Deluxe-Molded-Jaguar-Jazzmaster/dp/B01MZZPX5A/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=fender+jazzmaster+case&qid=1582310730&sr=8-43Epiphone ES 335 Pro does not fitThis is a very nice and well-made guitar case as with most Gator cases, but the guitar it is specifically made for does not fit. The case is too small to get the Epiphone ES 335 Pro in, by a couple of inches. The tag on the case reads E335 next to the barcode, so I know the correct case was sent. Needless to say I am returning it, and bought the Epiphone brand case from Guitar Center. I sure hope that one fits!! Again, very nice product but only 3 stars because it either wasn't tested for fit correctly, or there is a different model that would work and that should have been clear in the description.3GWE-TBIRD-BASS will fit an Epiphone Thunderbird Bass.... Barely.Kind of a snug fit for my Epiphone Thunderbird bass. Wonky kind of layout, the bass actually fits in the case better (or more easily) when it's in there backwards (with the body occupying the compartment meant for the neck), but then the balance is completely off when carrying it. I guess if what you're looking for is something that will hold it tightly, this will do. It's ok for the price, but in hindsight, I'd pony up the extra money for the purpose-built case from Epiphone (Gibson) unless I needed a case that could flex and transport more than one kind of guitar.3Gator should be ashamedFirst of all, I was a Gator case fan. I've had some great ones! This is a less expensive model and I didn't expect it to be as rugged as one of their plastic cases and that was okay. I actually really like the design of the case. My first one came with about an 8" long crack in the tolex on the corner! Plus NUMEROUS other flaws, dents, wrinkles. I've never seen any "new" product of anything built so poorly. I initiated an exchange and got one the very next day. Fast! This one was a LOT better but still had an actual cut in the tolex about 1 1/2" long and the whole thing had a slight banana shaped bow to it. I returned that one too which meant I had to box them both back up and take to the UPS store myself. If I had gotten one without major flaws I would have been very satisfied with the design of the case. I ordered an Eden case from Reverb for the same price. Gator, I am very disappointed and you should be ashamed..2Good Case .. Does fit a Epiphone 1984 Explorer and a Jackson King VThis is a good case but not a super special Airline ready ultimate case. Explorers and V style Guitars are naturals for damage due the unusual shapes and larger size. This type case will have a few lumps and bumps under the vinyl and i doubt you will find a perfect one. I did not need a travel case just something for safe home storage. It is slightly larger than needed for the Explorer but that could come in handy if I needed it for another large size odd shaped Guitar.4I have 2 of theseI have 2 of these. One for my Fender Telecaster and one for my Ibanez S Series. I find them to be sturdy and well fitting to these instruments. Some of the negative reviews talk about their guitar not even coming close to fitting the case. I recommend shopping for a tape measure. The measurements are provided in the listing. That is on you and not the case manufacturer. They are not custom nor are they supposed to be. They are not twice the price as some custom fits would be depending on the brand. These keep your guitar from getting dinged, dented or damaged while transporting to and from gigs or rehearsals. They are not flight cases. Again, more than twice the price and those should be. For these uses that I mentioned this is a sturdy and economical case that will keep your guitar safe.5The Case of Gator vs. SKBDon t ask me how a drummer went from 2 drum sets and no guitars to 3 guitars it s a long story. I purchased the Gator Case for my son s Fender Squire Stratocaster. I wasn t really wild about soft cases and had heard about Gator Drum Cases. I have SKB roto x cases for my drums and love them. I purchased an SKB guitar case for another guitar that was given to me and I got what I expected. The Gator isn t as durable as the SKB but doesn t have the same price tag ether. If your looking for a case that is a little better then the soft cases I d definitely go with the Gator case. It has the classic look. If you gig a lot and worry about your guitar getting banged around than go for the SKB.The Gator case definitely has its place between the bag and the SKB case.4Cheap wood, poor fit. Maybe get SKB**update***What I find interesting is that when I wrote to Gator about my guitar not fitting, I was told this case is not made for a dot studio. Yet I'm on this product page and the actually guitar in the case in their own product pictures is in fact a DOT STUDIO! false advertising!**original review**Do I have to star it? Was so excited to get a case for my dot studio and delta king but how can this be considered a 335 fit!? My dot studio can not even fit laying flat. What's more is that the carved body of the guitar can not fit with the curve of the case because someone down at gator didn't think to compensate extra space needed for where the base strap hook is and top strap hook is on some semi hallow bodies. Cheap wood, poor fit. Skip this and buy something else, maybe skb!1
