    Not as translucent as other brands...So while planning to loose about 2 days out of my life to attach appliqu patterns on my robes I decided to test different types of invisible threads for my final pattern decision.. I tested Singer invisible, Sulky invisible and Guterman invisible threads... The Singer thread was visible if some nosey snob was to study it for more than two minutes, the Guterman thread was more of s super light grey of a color, then came the Sulky thread which was truly invisible within the pattern..My choice for a embroidered on look was Sulky with the Guterman for other projects that I really don t mind the thread being kinda visible... Singer broke too many times on me for my patience level...4Exactly what I needed. Perfect, same as described. a little hard to find the start of the thread considering it's invisible, lol. Good product, strong thread. 5Fine thread for hand or machine stitchingGutermann threads are, in my opinion, some of the best available and this spool of clear thread is no exception to the rule. The design of the actual spool is especially appreciated due to the nature of the human-made fiber, so I can assure that the end remains securely fastened and doesn't become unruly when the thread is stored. It works fine for both hand a machine stitching, just assure that the thread tension is properly set in the machine to avoid disappointment.5Very versatile thread!This thread is perfect for hard to match colors or emergency situations. It doesn't work for every fabric (silk, chiffon, etc.) but for a quick fix or for thicker materials, it is amazing. I bought it to sew white patches onto a white leather bag and it worked very well. I then had a dress lose a strap and used this and it matched perfectly. I've since used it to sew a button onto a dress shirt, fix an elastic band on my rubber rain boots, and hems jeans!5It does as it shouldI wouldn't count on it being very flexible, I hemmed a skirt with it at the end and it wasn't very flowing. They were concerned with multiple colors and using one color of thread. it worked...but at the cost of looking nice over having a soft flowing skirt. Resembles fishing line, I read somewhere it might even melt if you stuck it in the clothes dryer on high. Good thing the skirt is dry clean only. Would I buy it again? Sure, but not for a skirt. Maybe for outdoor wear or something slightly heavy.4I really wanted to like this. Would save a lot of headaches trying ...I really wanted to like this. It works great. It's nice and thick and I don't worry about it breaking. I am short and have to hem a lot of my wardrobe. I use this kind because it's invisible. The thread is of nice quality.5Amazing!Had a Harry Potter Christmas party. Many guests commented on the fact that they had to search to see the string on the floating candles and Cornish pixies that were hanging from the ceiling. I count that as a win!5Great way to bring a Harry Potter themed party to life!!! We purchased this invisible thread for the sole purpose of recreating the floating candle trick used in the Harry Potter books/movies and used it with 24 LED candles we also purchased from Amazon. Everyone at the party was awe-struck by how realistic the effect looked. With low light you couldn't even see the tacks on the white ceiling and it was a hit with all the kids at the party. The nylon thread is super thin, yet very strong, so it was able to easily hold up the individual candles and a couple of threads were able to hold up a flying Nimbus 2000 broom as well. Super happy with the product and the outcome!!!5Five Stars Perfect for top thread when quilting! 5Good after a rough start.Needed a neutral thread for my cathedral windows sewing project. Heard about this and wanted to give it a go. Had tremendous issue trying to find the end. Was difficult to make a bobbin with (think of trying to make a bobbin with fishing line and that s about what u will have). Threaded through the machine a little easier. I tried it on a scrap first expecting a complete nightmare after the start I had and was so blissfully surprised that it worked without issue, tangle, or jamming up my machine. So once you get it loaded, the results are fantastic. You can t see the thread so it works with any color. Whew! Deducted one star just for the hassle in the beginning although I don t know what else you could do because it basically is very fine fishing line.4
