Customer Reviews

Best Guitar stand out thereIf you are like me and truly value your (usually) expensive prized instruments, then you want to make sure nothing happens to them, accidentally or otherwise. The Hercules stands are much much more stable than all the rest. They have a better base design, and even when the stand inevitably gets bumped there is no wobbling, no worries - just make sure you lower it all the way, as it is designed to be.These things are awesome. Also, everything fits so perfectly on Hercules stands. All of the other tri-stands lean your instruments in toward the top too much and cause the headstocks to bang together. Not here, plenty of room for everything now. This stand (and the double version which I also own) lets your gear hang down perfectly straight and protects it all with those very thickly padded stops you see near the base in the picture. Also, the hanging gravity grasp around the neck is so sweet. With all other stands I am always worried that my guitar will slide off, or if it gets bumped that it could fall out. This mechanism holds it tight until you want it, and releases it very easily and naturally for you, but will not let it go while it's just sitting there. Check these things out, you will not be disappointed. Also, as for durability, I have used and abused my Hercules stand for years, tossing it around my car to play at different places. It's been tossed, dropped, setup and stowed many times and it still looks and works just like it did when I first bought it. It doesn't even have any obvious visible scratches on it (it came with a bag but I discarded it and never used it). Meanwhile, I had gone thru dozens of regular cheapo stands over the years before I bought the Herc. I will only every buy Herc stands from now on.5Not for TelecastersAlthough this stand is very well built, Telecaster head stocks will slip right through. As the foam over the hanger depresses this allows the Telecaster head stock to slip through. I wish I new this before I made this purchase.1Extremely stable and easy to use.It works best for electric and steel string acoustic guitars. I use it with electric basses and a classical guitar. For the basses it s just a couple inches shorter than I d like. The back of the body of a 34 scale bass leans against the leg of the stand instead of against the padded rest. It s still acceptable to me. For classical guitars it s a slightly snug fit due to the width of the neck at the nut. As with the bass, that s a very minor drawback. I m pleased with this stand.5Very nice, sturdy and stable strand. Pricey, but your guitars would probably be way more expensiveBeing a drummer, you are used to heavy hardware, big, wide, stable legs. After all, them carry two toms, a few cymbals, which you are beating the hell out of them. It is hard to understand why mics and guitar stands are so flimsy. Well, this isn't. Very well constructed, sturdy. Holds three electric guitars easily and safely. Raising the height is a breeze. Just don't do it with the guitars hanged or you will have a mess. You will certainly need a good floor space in your room as this lens open wide, which is good for stability. One start less, as the guitars hang towards the legs and you should be able to rotate them to position them wherever you like and align the lower back support with the hangers.4Collasped**WARNING** Had been using Hercules stands for about 10 years. Never had a problem. But today the stand collapsed on its own. The squeeze handle somehow broke apart and fell off the stand. I picked up the pieces of the handle and noticed they were very sticky. It appears the plastic deteriorated over time and finally gave way. Three guitars hit the floor but all were okay. Still very shocking. I installed a nut and bolt through what was left of the handle and the vertical post. It's very sturdy now (no longer adjustable) but Hercules must address the locking handle deteriorating. .review-image-thumbnail { background-position: center center; background-repeat: no-repeat; overflow: hidden; background-size: cover; height: 160px; width: 235px; } .review-media-gallery-content { height:100%; width:100%; background-color:black; } .reviews-mobile-media-gallery .a-carousel-viewport { margin-left:15px; } .cr-thumbnail-image { float: left; }1Nice Stand!I like this stand a lot! MIne is currently holding two Fender basses and a Telecaster perfectly. You will need to slide the bottom standoff assembly up, so it touches the body of both sizes of instrument. If the stand is holding basses, the bottom rest will usually end up below guitars. I've put electric basses, Strats, Teles, and acoustic guitars and bass guitars in the stand in every conceivable combo, it works for all. I also like that no parts are loose when folded for travel, so there is nothing to misplace. I'll be picking up another!5The best but could still improveMy original stand kept losing the foam from the lower arms. One of the top clamp systems stuck at halfway a couple years ago and I had some close calls with it on gigs. Had to replace it with a new one for gig use. The new ones have a nice rubber securing clamp that holds the upper arms in. My brand new stand recently stuck in the fully extended telescoping position. There are still improvements to be made to these stands but they are certainly the best I know of.5WARNING! Great product BUT....Sturdy, handsome, makes sense, etc. BUT the arms that hold the instrument neck are too wide for my Taylor and Martin acoustic guitars, which sink down to the tuners. And my Fender Tele? Very much in danger of slipping out.I used the two included adapters to fit my guitars better, but I really should have four more adapters to sure everything up, and so I can put my Tele on the stand.Hercules would not supply additional adapters (not even sell me them)...referred me to Sweetwater, which so far doesn't appear to have them...One other complaint: The bottom rests fold out, but aren't made to naturally align with the upper arms...takes some guessing and checking. So overall I love this thing, but the arms issue makes it unusable, unless I find where to buy some more adapters or make some out of pipe or something...argh.1Very Sturdy but Very Light Too!My stand was well-packed and delivered quickly. It sets up quickly, and is very sturdy without being overly heavy. I say "overly" because it is heavier than a traditional single guitar stand, as well as my other 2-seater stand. As a working solo-performer, I know that weight is always a factor (because you're your own roadie), but I'd rather have this rock-solid triple stand to securely hold my guitars than three separate solo stands. I'm very pleased with this buy. No surprise here though - I love my other Hercules product, so I knew this one would fit the bill as well!5A great sturdy guitar standThis guitar stand was larger than i expected. I've always used the cheap single guitar stands with the removable guitar base fork that so many people use. When i lifted the box that contained this stand i knew it was quality. It was easy to set up (slide feet down, tighten knob, fold down guitar neck holders, slide guitar body holders up or down depending on size of guitars and fold down. This locks the thing in place) placing a guitar in the stand automatically brings the yokes down and folds the tabs holding the guitar securely. I use it to hold a Fender Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul and does so excellently. This is a very sturdy guitar stand. It does a great job holding one guitar without tipping over or all 3. I recommend it for anyone looking for a multiple guitar stand.5
