Thermore Thin Batting for Machine Appliqu
A student introduced me to this thin batting and we used it as stabilizer in a machine appliqu project at the Bernina shop where I teach. The project we are doing is large, complex, and with a lot of thread. We were able to use less stabilizer with the Thermore. The Theremore added a loft to the appliqu that doesn't happen with traditional stabilizers. The batting is thin enough that when traditional batting is added to quilt the completed project, the additional layer of Thermore is not evident. The completed project is so much improved with the use of Theremore in the initial embroidered appliqu . It is a non-traditional use but I loved the effect.
5Wonderful product
This is my absolute favorite quilt batting for hand quilting. It is thin, for easier stitching and smaller stitches, and does not beard.
5Really like this batting
Really like this batting. I use it for placemats and for zipper pouches. Would also be good for light-weight quilts. Highly recommend it.
5Hope to love it
This was recommended by a quilter. Have yet to try it.
5Love it!!!
Nice and thin. Perfect for the quilted tablecloth I made.
5Go to batting for placemats and runners.
I use this batting for small hand quilted items. Thin weight for easy needling and perfect if you only need a light weight batt. This works great for baby items, too. Purchasing large batt saves money over the small packages. Note that it is not a cotton batting, nor suitable for use with hot items.
5Best Batting
My favorite batting......
5Works with a large quilt
I used this for a queen quilt because I needed the thin batting to squish into the arm of my regular sewing machine. It s not as soft as the cotton but it drapes well on the bed
5Great product. Came before I expected it to arrive
Great product. Came before I expected it to arrive. Will order again.
5It's the best.
This ultra-thin batting is hard to find in our local stores, so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. I have used it often in my art quilts, fabric purses, and other projects that require a thin batting. It's the best.
