    Great durable productReally liked this product. Used for connecting Yamaha digital piano to computer in garage band to record piano solos. Works great (never could get the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cords to do it) and seem like very thick durable cords. On the shorter end which is a bonus for my purposes. 5Multiple usesI ve used this to split a mixer to two different amplifiers. I also used it to send the outs from a personal monitor system to a single stereo input. Used it to connect stereo theremin to a mixer. Etc. For the first example above I pulled the cable apart so that it was able to connect devices twice as far away to a central mixer. 5Good cableIt's hosa so I dont expect an extremely high quality cable the cable is OK in quality but next time I will probably buy a livewire. Lost a star because the colors of the cable I got are different than whats pictured. 4Bends too sharply at the endsOverall, this cable seems fine for home uses, but I wouldn't trust it for applications where reliability is paramount. The sleeves that are ment to ensure a gradual bend at the ends and protect the cable against stress seem poorly designed. They allow for way too much bend where the cable enters the jacks. I am very careful with my gear but I don't expect the inner signal wires to last. Time will tell. Otherwise, the cable doesn't seem faulty, came as described and pictured, no surprises there. I haven't used it for live or recording applications yet, (to link a source to a high-powered amplification setup), so I can't vouch for a high-quality, shielded signal, free of interference. I will amend this post when I have tried it. 3Connects Your Device to a Sound SystemI used this connector to plug my Zune (yes, my Zune) into an audio mixer so I could play along with my favorite songs. The connector helped eliminate noise & interference by removing the need to use any adapters. One end plugs into a standard headphone jack, the other two ends go directly into a pair of 1/4" inputs on my board. From there it's smooth sailing out to speakers and/or headphones. 5Good valueThese cables are a great value for anyone needing to interface portable electronics into a mixer. The cables seem to be of a good build quailty, with thick insulation and good strain-relief. They are labeled for tip/ring, as well as color-coded for normal usage. Even the 1/8" tip is sized to fit into mobile device carrying cases.I recommend these cables, and have even given one away to show how good they are. 5In particular with the set I received they have a ...In particular with the set I received they have a small extended portion at the base of the 3.5mm end allowing it to fit into cell phone cases that won't allow the body of the connector to fit. In other words I always have to remove my case because the 3.5mm jacks never go all the way into my phone because the cable is too thick. 5with good care taken of the cablesI have purchased two of these now. Within 2 months of light use (1 x week), with good care taken of the cables, they both developed shorts in the cables. I cannot recommend these as a result, and will not buy again. 1I bought this to interface my PC sound card to my new amped speakersHOSA is making a real name for themselves in terms of quality low cost well made cable assemblies. This is every bit a professional quality patch cord. I bought it because I recently purchased a pair of amplified speakers from M-audio which feature professional 1/4" TRS inputs (differential) to cut hum and noise from the signal.The HOSA input is the quietest of all 3 inputs on the speaker system by 6dB. It sounds great, works great, and didn't set me back a fortune.I own several HOSA TRS/XLR adapters and have never had a problem with them. I would not expect one with this cable set given its construction quality and strain relief on all ends. Don't let the low cost fool ya - there's a good cable set here. And to the commenter who complained it's mono - it is 2 x mono - on any mixing panel that is how stereo inputs are achieved - one signal per channel. HOSA also makes 1/8 to 1/4 STEREO single plug cable sets, but you must look at the picture and read the description to ensure it is exactly the gender and size you want. I know the fustration of having the wrong cable adapter, hence I keep my build your own kit handy when what's in the cable box doesn't do it. 5Noise Free, Perfect Fit!I'm using this cable to supply audio from the line out on my FIIO DAC, to M-Audio AV40 Monitors. I haven't heard any interference or un-wanted sound and they are a perfect fit; solid at all connect points.Note: I actually was receiving a VERY slight hiss using the 1/8 Inch to RCA cable included with the speakers. The switch to this cable completely got rid of it. Tested it again to make sure I wasn't going crazy and sure enough always get a slight hiss with the RCA cable (could be the RCA input on the monitors).I would HIGHLY recommend this cable to consumers who want noise free (budget friendly) connection to a sound card/usb dac. 5
