does what it's supposed to
does what it's supposed to. been buying Hosa cables for years and the quality is always good. cables have always worked without issue. who can ask for more?
5Shorted right out of packageI bought 2 cords for my studio. They buzz and sound distorted whenever I adjust them. I feel like I probably could've got a better quality if I had just paid a few more dollars for something more reputable.1Highly recommend product.Great product andn9 issues with sound quality. Highly recommend and great price.5Working great after 3 years of daily useI bought a pair of these cables in 2017 to hook up my Yamaha HS studio monitors through a Steinberg UR22 audio interface. They've been solid and cost 50% less than the same TLR -> Male XLR cables that Guitar Center sells.5Potential Cable Defect (mine was)This cable did not work properly. It had an incredible noise and was professionally unusable. I give 2 stars because I understand these things happen. Hosa has been a decent brand for me. It was just small enough an amount of money that I just ate the cost and called it a total loss. The job I did suffered greatly; but it's my fault for not testing the cable first and bringing a backup cable.2Three Stars
Audio has some static using this wire, trying gold plated oxygen free copper as a replacement test.
3I realized the sound quality was better. ButIt works ok for non professional applications. If you set up & tear down your gear 5 nights a week... find something heavier duty with a thicker cord. After upgrading to a different one, I realized the sound quality was better. But, again, only a professional audiophile with OCD would notice.2It's an OK cable.I wanted a replacement longer cable for my monitors and it does it's job decently. Would I recommend this for the mic-ing or something for input? Umm, probably not. I would rather invest bit more on the cable. Otherwise, I found this cable true to the size, connectors are ok, no crackling and does the job.4Buy Another Brand!I was extremely disappointed with these cables right out of the package. In the package they are round up so tight and then cinched down even tighter with a zip tie cable! What s the result? A mangled bent up cable! You don t have to be an audio production specialist to know that bending your cables is bad. It s like the quality control guy for this company is the band member that never takes care of any equipment and ruins it.Look at the photos I ve added. Not only are the cables bent, but so are the connections. The photo of the cord looks like it s lying on the floor, but it s not. It s dangling from my hand. All bent up like that. It s not even worth it to me to go through the hassle of returning them or exchanging them. Buy another brand!1Everything works!Due to the price, I had very little expectations. However, the mixer just works. The regular function, the USB, the Blue Tooth all work. Sound quality is not bad. Sometimes I hear a bit of distortion. Maybe the Hosa cables connecting the speakers are not that great. Maybe the speakers are not that great. Maybe I just do not know what I am doing and did something wrong. I use the USB to play accompaniment, A Shure SM58 microphone to sing along, record on my cellphone, then use Blue Tooth function to play the recording back for singing practice. Overall for what I need, I am very happy with the mixer. Well worth it!5Can t easily return if defective.Junk and doesn t work out of the box. Hosa is usually better. Amazon wouldn t return it without me paying more, unless I drove to the Kohl s in the next town. So I m stuck with a dead cable for $10 bucks. Buy another brand, or stick to this one if you re close to a Kohl s.1Just what I needed!Brought some monitors for my home studio. The interference was insane, buzzing, humming, radios frequency's etc.... I tried everything to fix it, power conditioners, USB isolators and more. These cables are the only thing that worked. Now I crank my monitors all the way up with clean sound. Will definitely buy again!5
