    Useful and Colors Show TrueNice Paper primarily for practice. Thinner than my usual brand and I have not tried to mount it yet. However, colors and B&W ink look nice on this paper, show "true" to their hues and values, and are absorbed nicely.5Rice paperBought for class project in ink marbling...was a little soft for the transfer, ripped for students, but would be great for character painting w traditional brushes!4... well for my Japanese Calligraphy class and my teacher recommended it toIt worked well for my Japanese Calligraphy class and my teacher recommended it to. I enjoy the thinness and crispness of the paper. It does not bleed a lot either so it makes my work a little easier.5Nice paperI use this paper for Suminagashi paper marbling. It works quite well for that purpose. The paper is strong enough to not tear when you pull it from the water, and flexible enough to be manipulated. I have not drawn on the paper or used it for calligraphy, but it worked well for paper marbling.5Not very strong - but great practice paperThese sheets are not good for finished pieces of sumi-e ink drawings - but affordable material for practice. I would look for a different brand if using a lot of ink in your painting.3it is easy for practiceThe paper is very thin, but hold Chinese ink stone ink very well, no spreading. I used it for Chinese Calligraphy with my stone ink, and I put a grid under it, it is easy for practice. The bad thing is the paper shrinks on the words you wrote, and wrinkles pretty bad, I don't expect you can mount that paper easily since it is very very thin. One side of paper is very flatten smooth, and the other side is textured with a little rough surface which more suit for calligraphy writing, I used the rough side for writing. For practice, this is a good source, but it is not good for your final product. The other bad thing is: the sender packaged the paper by folding it in a half to fit to a paper box, that is bad bad. Hope the sender will never fold this type of stocking paper for anyone in the future.3Poor qualityOk, so its a bargain for as many sheets as you get and maybe worth it just to practice, but it is poorer quality than others, wrinkling more when dry and doesn't take a wash on the other side as quality rice paper should (part of the fun really in this medium is the fact that you can paint double sided unlike western watercolor). Meh. Try elsewhere even for practice paper. Lines also show from the way it is made by machines if you look at it closely/in the light, ruining the translucent effect of rice paper.2I might try writing on it some day- seems like quality rice paperOkay, I have to admit, I use these in a method they were not really intended for. I purchased this paper because back when the' rice paper removing shininess on your face' fad was around, I found it made my face a lot less greasy looking. But, it is hard to find this paper now and cheaper to buy this in bulk and cut it to size. I might try writing on it some day- seems like quality rice paper. But for now, happy just to use it for my shiny face.5Awesome rice paper for stamping!Amazing rice paper for ink stamping! Since it's for calligraphy, it works with stamping ink.
