Customer Reviews

Not bad, not what I expectedWhat came in my mailbox was a tiny cardboard box... o.OI had ordered some stands and I get a little box, lol. It was like 6 inches by 3 I think. It's definitely easy to use...lol and definitely travel size. You can fold it up and keep it somewhere if your not using it. It's sturdy and holds my flute well and it seems to be made out a pretty good material. It's somewhat expensive...$14 for a little thing, I guess I just expected more, but it works nicely. There's some rubber on the 3 points to stop it from sliding all over the floor I guess. It's made of some nice metal and will seem to last quite a while.5structrued wellgreat for concert band where I only use picc occasionally and don't want to keep it on my lap5Best portable piccolo stand on the marketThis is the perfect portable piccolo stand. I had one for about 10 years and it finally started to come apart, so I've purchased a new one. I'm a very active musician, and I use it all the time. The way it folds up and secures and quite ingenious. It's sturdy. Just be sure you purchase the right diameter of peg. This is the right one for a wood or plastic conical bore piccolo. There are other models for a metal cylindrical bore. I have a similar model of stand for my flute from K&M, and I love that one too (it's still going strong after 10 years).5Great product! This is my favorite piccolo stand! I also own the flute stand from the same brand. I love how it can securely fold into a tiny stick. I always keep them in my flute bag and use them whenever I am required to perform on both instruments. They barely take any space and blend in with the stage so you can easily use them in concert settings. They also last so long - I have been using the flute stand for 12 years!!5Durable compact instrument standThis is a durable, well-designed stand for an orchestral piccolo. It folds easily onto a gig bag pocket. I use it one at home in my practice room and another in rehearsals and concerts - much more secure than holding the piccolo on my lap when playing flute passages.5Fell ApartI got my stand, was able to figure out how to use it (since no instructions but fortunately it was easy to figure out), and at Orchestra practice last night, when packing up everything, the entire thing fell apart totally. The nut screw came loose, fell off along with the washer, and I could not get it put back together. The screw would not screw - as if the threads were stripped or something. Of course, there were NO instructions to ensure I was putting everything back together again. I tried to figure it out to no avail. I will be returning it and changing out for another one in hopes that this was just a fluke and defect. It served well for the few minutes I was able to use it during practice.1Works great for a wood piccoloWorks great for a wood piccolo. My only complaint is that it is not elevated so it makes me nervous having the piccolo so close to the ground. It can be a bit difficult to place the piccolo on it and take it off but that is solely due to the height. If you do not want to have to bend down or have it near the floor, I would recommend a hybrid piccolo/flute stand or the wood ones usually offer a raised peg for the piccolo. Overall this is great for what it is and serves the purpose well for a low price.5Light and Compact HolderThis is a handy little holder that I bought for my soprano recorder. I will mainly be using this at rehearsals since we switch instruments quite a bit and it is handy to have a little stand on the floor next to my music stand. It is stable enough that it should be fine. It took me a bit to figure out how to open it up. It didn't come with instructions. You have to unscrew the big open-ended nut (think bottle cap without a top) and slide it completely off the shaft (see picture), let the legs fall down into the position to form a base of four legs and then screw the nut back over the upright stem that holds your instrument. To fold it back up, do it all in reverse. Not totally convinced that it needed to be quite this expensive but it will do the job and so I can't complain.4Very Sturdy Piccolo StandGreat piccolo stand! Easy to put together and packs up to be relatively small. It is very close to the ground, but it is sturdy. Great for quick instrument changes.5This works fine for my soprano recorder aka blockfloteThis works fine for my soprano recorder aka blockflote.Wish I can find one that folds for my sopranino.Do not want to modify one to fit,as the bore on the sopranino is so wee. This folding stand is sweet, compact and the rubber coating on the flute shaft protects the wood from damage.Until this past year I never heard of this company.Pleased that Amazon offers a good selection. This stand has the advantage of letting the wood dry from moisture, before putting in case.A winner.5
