    What a difference good needles makeWhat a difference good needles make! I am a knitting newby and have been experimenting on different needles to improve my novice skills for sock knitting. The fine thread used in sock knitting is quite small and although I have tried the bamboo type, I probably knit too tight and have damaged the bamboo tips and have also broken a needle. I like the cable needles as well, but I wanted to learn sock knitting using DPN s to grasp the concept for cable knitting. These are truly awesome needles that have the metal/brass tips I need and the needles are made of extremely durable carbon fiber- the material commonly used in manufacturing of aircraft, spaceships and racing cars! They are extremely smooth to knit with and have a very high tensile strength and flexibility for folks like me. I purchased my needles in size 2-perfect for sock projects. So far, I love, love, these needles and hope to see a pair in cable version for future projects!!5Well made, smooth tips, no bump where the metal meets the carbon fiber body of the needle.Easy to use, nicely made. I like that it is made of carbon fiber, so no matter how teensy a needle size I pick, I m not in any danger of snapping it in two. Slides easily through the yarn, making it a pleasure to work with.5You will love them!These feel like a dream in my hands! The tips aren't too sharp and they glide the yarn for really fast knitting, while the finely textured center grips the yarn without too much hold. They are light as a feather too! I am finding myself wanting to knit small things just so I have an excuse to use these! And the price is right!5Great knitting needles!Love these needles! Strong, yet easy on the fingers, unlike most metal.5Excellent for hard, tight knittersI'm a hard, tight knitter so I've warped or broken my share of wooden needles. I love these because they're comfortable to hold and don't slip in your hand or against each other as much as shiny, smooth silver needles do. I'm usually much more partial to wood, but I've really grown to love these and have bought multiple sets of them. My only complaint is that the size marking wears off the side of the needle relatively easily so I have to measure the small ones to make sure they match up. Big whoop. You do that with wooden needles anyway, so it's not a big deal, but it would be nice if it would stay legible for longer.4Five Starsreally enjoyed how yarn flowed over these needles while knitting socks5Awesome no hand arm fatigue in knittingLove these needles. I am a sock knitter and my wood ones are bent but these are absolutely wonderful because the center portion of the needle hold the stitches in place the metal on the ends picks up stitches without splitting them it s just absolutely wonderful. Was difficult to find a size 2 double point needle like this but I m so glad I have it now I would recommend buying this for sure if you are needing the size needle.5Awesome needles!These needles are fantastic. They are a bit stickier than nickel, keeping your stitches on the needle. However, they are not ideal for a tight knitter for that very same reason. The only issue that I have with them is the join from the needle tip to the carbon fiber bit has a bit of a lip, so it is not seamless.4My favorite DPNsThese are nice and heavy in the hand. The tips are like any other nickel needle but then the middle isn t as slippery so I don t worry about the DPNs sliding out of the stitches. I can knit faster than with bamboo. Pus they don t split and seem like they will last forever. I am gradually replacing all of my DPNs with these. So worth the money.50000 Size Save your money.I would prefer to give this item NO stars. I bought the 00, 000 and 0000 needles. The 0000 don t have the metal tips which is too bad because the carbon fiber is splintery and a nightmare to try and knit with. They catch the fibers and splinter more. Absolutely cannot knit lace weight with these needles. Knitters Pride has the worst end finish on needles of any company I ve purchased from. Save your yarn, fingers and patience. DONT buy the 0000. Carbon fiber splinters are not fun.1
