    Surface InkI really loved this pen when I first used it. It would make anything I colored sparkle. I just noticed the other day it looks as if the sparkle has gone out of some of my pictures which leads me to believe this "glitter ink" doesn't sink in the paper, but instead sits on the surface. I will still use it, but that's kind of disappointing. If it's just me and that doesn't happen again I will revise my review.3Finally. . .it's great!I was in the middle of making Christmas cards with a snowman illustration when I saw a video that used the Wink of Stella to add shimmer and decided it would work for my cards. Overall, I love the way it turned out, but there were a couple of little glitches. the first was I didn't see the instructions that said to remove the little black band so I couldn't get the pen started...finally saw that in a review! Then it was a little bit tricky to find just the right level of output for the glitter. It's a cloudy day and it was hard to see where it was actually going on. BUT if you squeeze too hard the blob of glitter is sort of goldish/brown on white paper.Now that I have all of the bugs worked out I like how easy it is to add shimmer to the snowmen and I like how subtle it is overall. Good product, "operator errors".4No instructions for getting started, but the product works well once you have it going.Overall I like the product. I do wish it came with instructions on how to get started, as I had to look it online. If you're not at all familiar with these pens, you would not know that you have to take the lid off, unscrew the brush part, remove the black ring, and reassemble. I had no idea, so having something in the box or on the box to indicate that would be really helpful. Other than that, it seems to be working well so far, so I'm happy!4enjoy! It's fantasticMy first Zig pen. I didn't know how to make it work as being a single pen, I didn't see instructions. You must unscrew it and remove the black ring, screw it back on , shake it, then gently squeeze it to begin the flow to the brush. After that, enjoy! It's fantastic! I love it so much I have since ordered the other colors! Once you squeeze the pen, you don't need to do it again. Love the brush on it , too. Push gently and the brush makes a fine line, push with more pressure and the line will get wider. Wonderful pens!5Gray, not really clearDisappointed with this purchase. First of all, I couldn't figure out how to get the flow started, however in itty bitty writing on the back, it says to remove the black ring!! Aha!! Then you squeeze to get it to come out. Doesn't really have a "fine" application, it's a brush, and it won't give a really thin dot or line. It's supposed to be clear, however, it looks gray on white, and I really just wanted "clear" glitter, so it kind of makes the snow look dingy.2Gorgeous colorFor brush lettering, this pen is great! I use on watercolor paper and it's beautiful. The first one I received was empty or dry, but got a replacement within a couple days. Took a few minutes of shaking and squeezing (and a dis/reassemble), but then it was fine. Would be great for hand lettering envelopes.5Amazing stuff!OMGosh! How did I ever live without this stuff? It's like glitter in a pen. As a cardmaker, I love this; brush on a bit here and there and the paper comes alive. The only hard part is getting started, you have to remember to take the black ring out. I bought mine in clear, and am ordering red, green, gold, and silver. I asked the question "are these pens washing machine safe, as I use them on fabric" no one was able to answer the question.. Well folks I can tell you YES!! I made a shirt for my granddaughter washed it and WOW the glitter was still there...5Artful...not garishI just can't say enough positive things about this pen! First, glitter is a punishable offense in my house. However, my hand-painted Christmas cards needed...something...so I touched the surfaces here and there with this pen's easy to control brush tip. The color is sparkly with some interference material mixed in in a clear background, a very pleasing effect if you're looking for sparkling snow. More artful than garish. I suppose you could layer for more intensity. A light touch was just what my cards needed to pop. I can't report how long this pen will last. I would suggest if you want to keep it from drying out, store it in a baggie. I do this with all my markers and it keeps them going for years.5Pen could be half the size for the amount of liquid in the barrel.I actually love the Wink of Stella products. I don't care for being deceived by a company. My clear ran out after using it on my Christmas cards, so I ordered a new one. When shaking the new pen there didn't seem to be very much liquid in the barrel. When I held it up to the light I could see exactly how much was in there. They could have made the barrel half the size for the amount you actually get. Very disappointing. What is the point of having that size when it is only filled half way? Not cool, Kuretake.1
