Customer Reviews

Good for neck heavy guitarsA basic wide strap nothing fancy but works well. Pin ends look well made. A three inch strap is good for neck heavy guitars or basses to add friction on the shoulder. The strap will probably last a very long time. I got this over a leather one as with most leather ones the bottom of the guitar end is narrow for adjustments and I just don't like that especially if I might use Strap-Loks. The negative, to me is the ends are a little rough vs smooth soft leather ends. The ends will hold up better I think but might roughen up the guitar finish based on how much it might move if it is on guitar pin vs a Strap-Loc - meaning with a pin it will touch the body as all straps.3Decent strap for the priceI bought this because I have a guitar that's top heavy, so a wider strap is needed to prevent it from tipping down as quickly. It did the job, and works great if you have a heavy guitar and want less strain on your shoulder from the weight. The thing I dislike is the material of the actual strap is a bit stiff and thin. Softer straps do feel nicer.4Cause I Like 'Em Wide...Ever since I bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio, I have used wide straps. Even when the guitar is relatively light in weight...I still use a wide strap. :-D These are wide, and very comfortable. They feel like they are very well made and totally worth it. -=80) NOTE: If you are using a wireless system that attaches to the strap, you may find that the wireless case won't wrap around it nice and neatly, but this is not a problem for me. Also, if you are using Schaller strap locks, the ends that hook up to your guitar are quite thick, so putting 2 washers on to keep them from coming loose...probably ain't gonna be a good idea. I always check the nuts anyway, so again not a problem for me. I mean...I don't sling my guitar around either.5Great for distributing the weight of a heavy instrument more ...Great for distributing the weight of a heavy instrument more uniformly. I bought this a couple years ago and I paid something like $6 or so, I don't know why it went up but it's still a great deal. Mine doesn't have leather ends, and I actually like mine as it is. The ends are not too stiff. I used strap locks with it, so I can't comment much on how safe your instrument is with it, but it is definitely comfortable.----------------------------Update 10/5/15I lost my strap. I was not happy with the idea of buying the same strap for $16 but then all of a sudden the price went down and I got it for a little less than $11 (now it's over $11...what's with the price fluctuations?). And it's as solid as it was years ago. I'm very happy with my purchase. I am using this for a Marcus Miller by Sire 5-string bass, a really heavy beast if you haven't tried one. And with the distribuition this strap provides it's so comfortable to play! I am also using some of those rubbery strap locks to keep it safe, and they work phenomenal!5Great quality affordable strap!I bought this because I have one of Levi's premium real leather straps (about $100) and I wanted a cheap easy to adjust strap for a back up, practice, and studio recording (leather just can't quickly change lengths to go from standing or sitting for hours in studio)I found this a Great wide strap for low cost, as good as any other nylon strap, good stitching, works perfect with dunlop strap locks(a must for any serious musician) the front man in my band liked my back up so much he bought one for his main guitar now!Only con is the same with all nylon straps it's possible to dig into your neck if you're wearing a tank or muscle shirt or any non collared shirt, but that's hardly a deal breaker IMHO.4Fantastic. This is my second of these 3" poly ...Fantastic. This is my second of these 3" poly Levy's straps. The overall quality (and admittedly cost) of Levy's straps is far FAR above your Ernie Ball or other competitor. Don't get me wrong I use those EBs religiously - cheap and effective; however on a heavier guitar I need a wider strap to distribute the weight. This one fits the bill. I've used 3"+ leather straps from Levy's however they don't work for me at all - the Poly weave breathes better but more importantly has the right grip against your shoulder / shirt. I didn't realize it till I tried leather straps that either did not slide or slid too much, but I am constantly making micro adjustments to positioning of the guitar, which requires enough 'play' on the strap against my shirt to more forward and back, but enough friction to stay put when you aren't intent on moving the guitar. Poly just feels right for me. I'm probably sounding really particular on this topic, but no matter how you slice it Levy's makes a great strap.5great guitar strap in basic blackI've bought several of these to outfit each of my played guitars. Its a great basic strap made of nylon with leather ends. I couple these with rubber gaskets (similar to Grolsch beer bottle top gaskets from back in the day) that Fender sells for about $5 per set of four and they work great for gigging.5DisappointedI must say I'm disappointed in the quality of this strap. The webbing and buckles are fine but the strap ends are a joke. They are a sandwich of thin nylon with foam on the inside. The problem is that the edges of the nylon are like saw blades - very rough. Not only that, they were already fraying when I removed them from the packaging! Not cool. I have an older version of this strap that does not have this problem, as well as other Levy's straps which I like very much.2My Second PurchaseI bought this several years ago for my Gibson SG. The wide strap is comfortable and hugs my shoulders & back to prevent neck dive. I just bought a second strap for my Fender Strat.5Great for Les Paul style guitarsThis is exactly what I was looking for in a strap for my (non-weight relieved) Les Paul. It is simple, wide, doesn't grab my shirt like suede, and doesn't draw attention away from the beauty of my guitar. The only gripe I have is the strap ends are already fraying a little on the edges after minimal use. For the price, I feel like it's a fair trade off. I would pruchase this product again.4
