    Soft, pretty, easy to use!It's so soft! I got it to use as I learned to crochet by watching YouTube videos. I'm making a baby doll blanket with it, and it is such a beautiful color scheme. The red heart size 3 is thicker than the lion brand. They worked together on this project but may not on something more intricate5Wonderful yarn!This is so perfect for crocheting baby blankies, booties or sweaters! So soft and light.5This is perfect yarn for babies!I made a beautiful Christening gown with this yarn. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to download a photo, but you can see the gown online at Mary Maxim. For the most part, the yarn was easy to use aside from the silk thread that runs through it catching on the hook of the crochet hook occasionally. I would use this yarn again for another project.5Very soft and beautifulI made a knit baby hat and booties. This was a very nice yarn to work with, so soft also the shade of pink was absoluely beautiful. I have used this yarn for other projects including a baby sweater and blanket. I will definitely purchase this yarn again, i love working with it.5For the money, a great deal, decent qualityI'm not a fan of synthetic fibers, but there's a place for them. For instance, I adore a 50/50 mix of viscose from bamboo blended with quality cotton. The yarn is lighter and the finished product has more bounce.I purchased this yarn because I couldn't find this shade of blue in a lighter weight. When I crochet or knit an elaborate piece I change colors often, so some acrylic now and then won't kill the natural feeling.The microfine acrylics of the last five years or so have been a game changer for me too. The dk (I'd call it a light dk, almost a sportweight or #2) Mandala is an example of high quality acrylic. I blend it with natural fibers in multicolored projects.This skein of Bluebell Baby Soft is almost as nice as Mandala, but it snags a lot easier. It has an odd synthetic sheen I am not crazy about (Mandala is a classy matte finish) but the color is exactly what I was looking for.The amount of yardage for the price is excellent too.A tip: if you're used to crocheting or knitting with fatter yarns and large needles, try a project with a smaller gauge. You might be surprised at the detail you get on a Fair Isle style hat, or even how much cuter a crochet flower looks.So, if you really must use acrylic, this yarn is a good choice. Just keep an open mind about natural fibers. One more tip: hand wash all of your projects. Your hard work shouldn't be subjected to the abrasion and the possible melting into scratchy threads in a dryer.4This was a fun yarn to useThis was a fun yarn to use. Each color section is long and on these newborn caps created a cute stripe pattern. The yarn is easy to work with and has good elasticity. It's reasonably soft. These hats were made on #4 12 inch circular needles.4Nice yarn, but all the skeins did not match in color intensity. I bought 4 skeins to make a layette set, but one of the skeins was much lighter than the other 3. I wish Amazon would send the same dye lot of all the skeins ordered together. This has happened before when buying yarn from this site, so I will be buying my yarn at a store where I can match the dye lots, or from an internet yarn store that always sends matching yarn when ordered together. 4A BIG MESSCaould not find the end that woud run easily... in fact, there are three ends. Huge size of yarn came out when trying to pull on one end. Another did not work any better, in fact, it made the mess bigger. (One end was easy to see it is on the outer surface, but one prefers to have the yarn come from the inside.) Hopeless. Have to cut the yarn some place. I feel like Lion Brand owes me some money back!!! (Many other skein by various makers have had the same problem, but I've been able to find the working end easily not this one.)2Great Yarn! As of writing this review I have not gotten the chance to use this yarn, but it feels great and has a great color. 5The yarn was beautiful and softThe yarn was beautiful and soft ... I made a baby poncho with a good ...it does not tangle and is easy to use5Perfect for Baby BlanketsExcellent quality yarn, soft, and has a pearlized thread running through it. I started crocheting a baby blanket several years ago and never finished it. I was happy that this yarn matched my old yarn perfectly.5
