Customer Reviews

Nice, clean, good quality sticks What can you say about 1000 wooden popsicle sticks? They are exactly what I expected, and they're just what I needed for a craft project I was doing. They were a bargain, and I am sure I will never, ever need to purchase popsicle sticks again in my lifetime. These are good quality, and already licked clean (ha ha ha - just joking). Seriously, though...it beats waiting for your kids to go through enough popsicles for your craft projects! 5They're fine for most uses. I'm pretty happy with the quality of the sticks. I bought them mostly for mixing and applying epoxy and other adhesives. I grabbed a handful and went through looking for any that were too weak or otherwise serviceable. I ended up tossing a couple that were cut across knots and would easily snap. The rest are fine. They are not all perfectly smooth and straight as I would expect from food grade sticks, but for craft and workshop use they're great. And, I looked for the "Made in China" and didn't find it. Canada! That just makes it even better. 5Good value, standard sized, not for building actual houses Good value for a rather large box of craft sticks. These are the shape and size of a Popsicle stick - but these are NOT food grade! Measurement: 4 1/2" x 3/8". Some of the sticks have a little bit of a rough edge, but an emory board will fix it quickly... or you can just grab another one from the giant box of 1000. Fairly consistent in the color and quality of the natural wood used.I wondered what on earth I would do with 1000 woodsies... but I found a lot of uses!Easy book markers - decorate with paints, markers, whatever!Palate Coasters - seriously adorable - I googled how-to!Essential Oil Scent Sticks - a few drops of menthol or eucalyptus on the stick and breath easier with it in your pillowcase. In the garden and in seedling pots to label what's growing. Permanent marker used.Paint swatches - dip into the paint bucket when done with the job, dry and label with paint color or room.Shims - no bookcase need ever to sit unsteadily!Safe food picks or skewers.Popsicle Stick Bomb - a favorite of my son's! Found a how-to on youtube! 4So many uses! I love these! They have so many uses - arts & crafts, building stuff that kids build - and personally, I use them for waxing and bought my first box about 5 years ago & haven't put a dent in it (and way less expensive then buying the sticks specifically for waxing!) 1000 count box - I haven't counted them, but there's a ton in there! Rarely do I come across one with any defects. Also - my nephew loved getting them in his arts & crafts basket! 5just fine, worked great I don't know what everyone is talking about when it comes to these being all warped. I had to have a pretty fine tolerance for the project I used these on but they weren't that bad. Some where a little curved here and there (by curved I mean that if you laid the longest, narrowest side down on a flat surface you may get a half a millimeter of gap in the middle), but for the vast majority they were straight and worked plenty well for my application (which was building a bridge for a school competition). 5A Child's Imagination is The Limit to What Can Be Created. Great For Kids Bored Over Summer. Great creative project idea for kids bored over the summer. A child's imagination is the limit for great creations. Boys and girls can come up with a lot of great ideas on what they'd like to make. Great for thinking outside the box, problem solving, and lessons in measuring and bringing plans to fruition. My grandson made some buildings for his train track village, and he was so thrilled with the outcome that he can hardly wait to build more things. I recommend that you get a cheap wire cutter from the Dollar Store to cut sticks to various lengths to complete more intricate projects (of course, adult supervision may be needed with wire cutters). For kids, Aleene's "Quick Dry" Tacky Glue is a good alternative to more dangerous hot glue gun. The Tacky Glue is non-toxic and cleans up with water. 5Size not clearly marked, sticks came broken These were the first result when I searched "Jumbo Craft Sticks". The size was not clearly marked on the listing anywhere at all, and the only place that it's listed at all is on corner of the box in the picture itself. I expected them to be jumbo, like the ones used to make the bird house in the picture on the box. When they arrived, I opened the box not only to see that they were drastically smaller than I expected, but also that many of them were broken and warped. When I tried to return it, they were going to charge $6 for the return shipping, so I'd only be getting $4 back out of the $10+ i paid. I can't even use them for basically anything because the quality is garbage. 1Great for the greenhouse when starting seeds in small pots. There's not much you can about what's essentially a Popsicle stick but it works fine for my garden and starter plants. I start all my seeds indoors because of our frost dates and these are easy to write on and stick in the pot so I don't forget what's in it. It took about 5-years to go through a box and it's time to buy another. I also use these in the garden and they hold up well to the intense sun and lots of watering. 5Great deal for a lot of craft sticks The other day, I discovered a trail of ants leading to the top drawer of my 7 year old son's dresser. When I opened it I found a slew of ants having a party. They were noshing on the sticky residue that remained on a pile of popsicle sticks. I asked my son what the deal was and he informed me he has been saving sticks all summer in order to make a popsicle White House. Not wanting to squelch his architectural aspirations, we cleaned up the mess and I showed him how to wash his sticks. I gave him a big Ziploc for future stick storage. After he went to bed, I ordered this box of 1000 popsicle sticks. When they arrived, I spread them out at his place at the table so he would find them at breakfast. When he came to the table, he was stunned. He looked at me with admiration in his eyes and said, "You are the coolest Mom ever! I thought I ate a lot of popsicles, but you ate 1000!"Not only did these sticks provide him with all sorts of crafting pleasure, they gave me cool mom status...and they allowed me to stick to my diet! 5Exactly what I expected, just like the Popsicle Sticks we used to find so many fun things to do with them. When we built our new home, we must have given away or it is still packed away, some popsicle sticks we had at our 1st home. I wanted these sticks to clean out large Vaseline jars, almost empty. So as soon as I opened it, I placed a handful in a ziploc bag. Taped the box and placed it in a larger ziploc bag for safe keeping. I got 2 out and began scraping out of big jar into a smaller jar It was so neat, no messing with Vaseline all over my hands. I also will use the craft sticks to clean out other larger containers of items nearly empty, and put in smaller container. When we have grandchildren we will have so much fun building things with Elmer's Wood Glue. I really think when I get to my small pile of sewing I can envision usefulness for the Craft Sticks. 5
