Customer Reviews

Just couldn't get it to work. Didn't work from day one.Tried everything possible on two windows machines. I could not keep it locked onto my desk as the knob kept looseningAlso, the construction is poor as one handle did not move as smooth as the other two. 2Worst throttle quadrant ever. You're way better off just spending 10X as much for all the trouble these are. Horrible, constant jitter, notoriously bad support, and cheap, flimsy construction. There's all kinds of resources online about cleaning them, but I'll warn you that disassembly without damaging them _just to get them to WORK LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO_ out-of-the-box is really difficult and time-consuming. 1Bad Long Term Use Bought this a long time ago for my flight sim set up. Didn't really take long before this started being highly unstable and inaccurate. A slight move of a lever causes dramatic and shaky throttle inputs. Do not recommend for longevity. 1Works fine EXCEPT the inputs come back jittery Works fine EXCEPT the inputs come back jittery. This isn't normally a big deal, but, in MS flight simulator, if you have one of the levers assigned to Trim and try to fly with the autopilot, the jittery inputs cause the autopilot to malfunction badly. (Autopilot is manipulating the trim for attitude adjustments, and the jitter from the physical hardware overrides the autopilot, making the plane unflyable with autopilot). In situations where the jitter doesn't matter, it's fine (like throttle). But in situations where it does matter (autopilot+trim), it makes the joystick unusable. It's possible to work around this using external smoothing software, but, I shouldn't have to, and this pro joystick shouldn't have this level of jitter. And, there's no way to control for it using the built-in software (deadzones aren't meant for this kind of thing).Kinda dissapointed in this one factor - everything else about the unit is great. 3Almost perfect for any serious PC flight simmer! I bought two of these units to simulate flying a multi-engine aircraft in X-Plane 11 and it's been phenomenal so far. I play X-Plane 11 using my HTC Vive Pro, and the interchangeable lever knobs each with a different design makes it easy to determine what controls what in VR.My only complaint was that the levers do feel a little bit on the flimsy side so it's easy to bend, and I kind of wished the throttle quadrant was bigger in size. But these are relatively minor nitpicks which doesn't really take away from the experience of utilizing them in a flight sim. 5Glitchy out of the box! Bought this product a little over a week ago. When it arrived the throttles are very glitchy. On X-Plane 11.30 when power is set you are able to set the throttles of the aircraft have slight jumps. From other reviews and forums on how to fix this the potentionmeters that Saitek/Logitech use are very cheap and flimsy. I would definitely not buy this product ever again. For flight sims it is unusable. Since I already took it apart and voided the warranty I do not care about any help from the company. If you are planning on buying this product be warned, mine came out of the box in a manner that renders the product unusable. The materials used to make the throttle quadrant is cheap plastic and when you open the thing up the electronics are even cheaper. 160 bucks is cheap for a great product from logitech i own 2 of these for my 4 engine planes, 60 bucks is cheap for a great product from logitech, just keep them clean and it will last forever. i use my air compressor every week to keep all my hardware clean from dust in florida. northern states shouldn't have the dust issue, down here we don't have carpet and only tile, so the dust builds up quickly. 5Save get a more expensive quadrant Built cheap. One set I have had limit issues on the bottom of throttle switch tends and tends to loose connection after a long period of time like the usb isn t getting enough power also mounting hardware isn t that great for clamping kind of disapponting but for the price acceptable 3Worth every penny! Put 2 of these together & the possibilities are endless! Makes for a pretty realistic simulator without spending thousands on a real cockpit. Even built myself a custom rig using nothing but PVC pipe & wood. 5I was like many other flight sim enthusiasts who wanted this throttle ... I was like many other flight sim enthusiasts who wanted this throttle quadrant but wasn't going to pay the exorbitant prices that used, known broken, or the occasionally rare "new" throttles were going for on an auction website. When I found this past week that these were back on sale and in inventory from Logitech I couldn't click "Buy" fast enough!I already owned the Saitek yoke flight system which included the yoke, pedals, and initial throttle quadrant. Great setup and I've used it since 2014 without issue, but the obvious drawback was that if you wanted a more realistic multi-engine experience you had to buy the separate throttle quadrant. My other issue at the time was flying aircraft in FSX that were "stick" aircraft (i.e. fighter aircraft) where I wanted to use my Force Feedback 2 joystick along with the Saitek throttle. What a PITA that was because the throttle for the yoke system is a PS/2 connection and requires the yoke to be setup to power it! So I'd have this mess of components just to use the throttle quadrant and joystick. Not anymore! This is indeed the "add-on" quadrant with USB connector and it functions as a standalone device in Windows Devices panel. A couple of notes: On first use and every time I hook it up I "sync" each lever's axis with a program called DXTweak2. It makes sure that the physical range of each level matches the axis input values (i.e. throttle all the way "off" = 0; all the way "on" = 65535). On first use with FSX I found that for prop and throttle axis controls the lever being "off" or 0 was reflecting 50% on the controls in the plane rather than 0%. If you have this issue do the following: Go to Settings click Controls button on Calibration make sure the controller is selected (3 axis 9 button joystick) and click the Advanced Controls radio button make sure all three axis Sensitivity sliders are all the way to the right and the Null Zone sliders are all the way to the left.Lastly, the table clamp has an insert that goes into one of the three holes molded into the clamp bracket. The insert is held in place by two small, silver screws under the clamp bracket. My clamp bracket shipped with the insert in the very farthest hole which didn't allow it to clamp firmly on my desk. The booklet instructions don't tell you about adjusting this insert, so if you find your clamp not securing properly then remove it and reinstall it to the middle or closest hole. 5
