Customer Reviews

Very tacti-cool. Just my style.I don't mind if things come in fun colors, as long as those colors are black. So when I saw that this (kind of) unusual guitar (or bass) strap was also offered in my most favored of hues, I knew I needed one. After playing for several hours, I must say this strap delivers what MONO advertised, that is to say, a consiberable felt difference in the instrument's weight. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a HUGE difference, i.e, your Les Paul isn't gonna feel like a ukelele, but the strain on your shoulder and back will be reduced. Thanks in part to the memory foam, extremely rugged construction and choice of materials (neoprene underside and "Sharkskin" top layer), this guitar strap feels more like a piece of military equipment than any other strap on the market (especially those cheezy leather straps with fake plastic "bullets" sewn in, boo!!). I play a feather light Ibanez JS24P and a Schecter 8 string, and this makes the Schecter feel slightly less like the granite countertop it is. So yeah, I would recomend it. Keep in mind kids: you get what you pay for. If the price tag is too steep, get an Ernie ball nylon strap for the $8.00 to $10.00 price point, but if you want something that appears to be very well built and maybe lighten the load a little bit, get this one. Plus you could alway zip line with it when the zombies come, so there's always that...5Fantastic Guitar strap...Got this after using a wide leather one for years. Tried one of these out. Not as wide, hell, my leather was huge at 3" wide, but grabbed my shirt a lot. This doesn't grab the shirt and has enough padding to absorb the weight of the guitar. has a cute little pick pocket attached to it, but that has no value for me. Built like a truck and should last a long while. For you animal lovers, this isn't made from any animals at all and the company advertises it that way too.5Style and ComfortI'm a short guy (5 foot 4) with a big guitar (Gibson semi-hollow body). Using a regular 2-inch-wide cotton strap was extremely uncomfortable and took its toll on my neck and shoulder. I've had good experiences with other MONO products, so I decided to give this strap (the short version) a try. It's worth every penny. The part of the strap that goes over your shoulder is nicely padded with memory foam cores, and it's width distributes the weight very evenly across my shoulder. Practices with my band can run for several hours, and I can play standing up the whole time without much issue. Most of the time, it's my feet that get fatigued before my shoulder.I also own a MONO Doolittle strap, which I use on a much lighter Strat. I prefer the overall look of the Doolittle, but I don't like the rubber end panels on that strap because they are very difficult to put over your end pins. The Betty also has rubber end panels, but they are not as thick, and therefore, much easier to put on an take off. They still have a strong grip, though, so I don't worry about the safety of my guitar. The thickness of the padded section on the strap does mean that it can get pretty warm--I definitely find my shoulder getting sweaty after extended play. Also, I have to set the strap as short as it can go (and even then, it's a touch long), but that shouldn't be a problem as long as you're taller than me. If you're looking for a stylish strap that also maximizes comfort, this is a good place to start.5Exactly what I neededI recently purchased an Ibanez TMB 100 bass, which is heavier than any of my other string instruments. I have a mild case of scoliosis, so comfort and protection are essential to me. I have been playing my Ibanez for many hours a day for the past week since I got the strap; I'm standing up at about half of that time, and I can say that this strap gets the job done nicely. The weight of the bass is evenly distributed across my back and shoulders and the instrument actually doesn't feel as heavy that way. After a long day of practice my fingers hurt, but not my back. This will be my strap of choice whenever I play on my feet.I ordered the L size because, at 6'2", my arms are long and it's actually more comfortable for me to lower the bass when I'm standing up, and I thought that would be the right size for me. However, the L size fits too long when I'm sitting down, even at its shortest. I think the shorter size would have been better. I don't need the full length offered by the L size. So just keep that in mind: Unless you're Krist Novoselic, you're probably better off with the shorter-sized strap. It may be too soon to comment on this, but I was slightly concerned about my sweat getting on the strap during the long practice hours. I noticed the strap ended up as damped as my t-shirts, yet the material on the strap does not seem to be affected and so far no bad smells are coming out of it and the surface of thge strap feel spotless. I guess I'll repost if this happens to change for me in the near future. I have three weeks of heavy practice ahead of me. That should be enough to detect any issues.5Well made and easy on the shoulder.I have a bad back and have a difficult time with electric guitars. I haven't played one in a long time due to this problem but found a light-weight electric (still heavy, but lighter than my Les Paul). I needed something to keep the strap from cutting into my shoulder while I try to get used to hauling around a heavier instrument again. This works great. It is sturdy and I don't have any concerns about it coming off the guitar. It adjusted easy and the short version works well for me (short woman). My guitar is black so this looks good with the guitar, too. It seems well made.5I bought the Betty Strap fully expecting the same quality and Mono did not disappoint. Works greatI replaced an air cell strap that did not work for me. This strap is typical of Mono quality. I usually am not loyal to a brand, but Mono has delivered on all fronts. I use their cases for my pedalboard (M80 Tour) and my guitar (Vertigo) . I bought the Betty Strap fully expecting the same quality and Mono did not disappoint. Works great, unobtrustive and comfortable. Highly Recommended .5Great Strap, Stiching needs workThis is a great strap with one minor problem. I use it for my guitar and my bass. The connector ends are a rubbery material that have no problem going over various types of strap buttons. These ends are nitrocellulose finish safe!!! I have a PRS CE that is nitro finish and there has been no discoloration of any kind. The only issue I have with this strap is the stiching. Mine is only a couple of month okd and the stiching in a couple of spots is already coming undone. For comfort and the built quality on everything else is good.4Incredibly comfortable. Love the pick pocket.Incredibly comfortable. I have an Agile Les Paul copy which weighs a decent amount, and this strap with it's memory foam made it much more comfortable to play for extended periods of time. It also makes light guitars feel almost non-existent on my shoulders. The pick pocket was also a nice touch as it sits on my left shoulder, making it easy to use my right hand to get another pick should I lose one. Highly recommended.5This is the probably the best strap I have ever ownedThe length is great for bass. As its shortest setting, it is almost as long as my neoprene padded guitar strap at its full length. I have not had to extend it the full way to be comfortable and I am 6foot 5. This strap is extremely comfortable without feeling springy like most straps that use elastic to take the pressure off. The ends lock onto my bass without using strap locks, just standard strap pegs. There is a rubberized feel to the ends which helps keep it in place. I have read others on forums complaining that the strap does not offer much movement and is almost sticky on your clothes. While there is a slight texture on the backside, I have not had any issues moving my bass around comfortably while I play.5Great guitar strap; one small complaintThis is the best guitar strap I have ever used for my bass. It is extremely comfortable and I love the pocket for a pick so it is available whenver I need it. The only complaint I have is with the sizing. I wish the Small and the Large straps had a couple of inches of overlap between them. The small strap is at just exactly the right height I usually need it at, but if I want to lower my guitar, it is not possible. I am ordering the large one as well, but think it may end up being just a little too long for where I usually where my bass. I am 6'2" and wear my bass to where my right elbow is at a 90 degree angle, so fairly high. Just wish these straps had an overlap so I would only need one.4
