Customer Reviews

but the spring makes a small 'boing' noise when the switch comes back up) mouse for gaming when it is more suited for general co Not really 'noiseless' but it does the job for regular computer tasks. I bought this because the constant clicking I do in games was getting on my family's nerves. I thought this might be the solution. It was not. Oh, it was silent and all that, but the sensor is not accurate and suffers with a lot of acceleration issues, making it less-than viable to play games with. Also, the teflon feet have a lot of friction when coming in contact with my QCK Heavy mouse mat. Another issue is the size. It is most certainly a claw or possibly finger grip style mouse. I have large hands and it felt uncomfortable to game with for extended periods.I really can't fault it much for what it is. I tried using a semi-noiseless (the down press is silent, but the spring makes a small 'boing' noise when the switch comes back up) mouse for gaming when it is more suited for general computer tasks like web browsing.Shipping was fast and the product came undamaged in an unassuming cardboard box. 3Best silent, corded, 5-button mouse you can get. I went through purchasing and returning (or throwing away) a lot of mice to get this one. I had a lot of requirements for the 'perfect' mouse: It needed to be silent (gf gets annoyed by clicking), corded (because F fiddling with bluetooth and keeping track of/buying batteries), compact (have small hands and prefer claw-grip), lightweight (no RSI thanks), 5 button and with decent dpi (for gaming), a wheel with a high friction that doesn't slip and is easy to click (gaming again).I also have the habit of picking up the mouse and moving it to adjust the position of my hand, so it needed to be easy to do that and not have the cursor go crazy on the screen when in the air as well. This little mouse passes all these tests with flying colors. Love it. Really glad I persevered in my search for the perfect mouse. If you have the same reqs as above give it a shot for sure. 5Must be designed for people with one joint missing from their middle finger Pros:The clicking noise is minimal.Cons:1. The wheel is too small and heavy, and has not traction. I really have to dig my finger into it to move the wheel.2. The buttons are hard to click.3. The position of the wheel is too far up while the buttons are too far down. If I want to click properly and not moving my hand on the mouse, I'd have to bend my middle finger to the breaking point to reach the wheel. It must be designed for people with one joint missing from their middle finger.4. It doesn't come with the driver and Windows 7 didn't find it. I had to install a generic driver to get it working. No idea how the extra buttons work. I don't play games. It's not a big deal for me but may be for others.5. My hand get tired from using this mouse very quickly.6. All instructions are in Japanese/Korean. 3Quiet but BIG UPDATE: 7/26/2016 I bought this as a replacement computer mouse as I couldn't take the grating noise from my compact MS Mouse anymore. I've never had or used a full-sized mouse in my 30yrs of having a home computer. Love the buffered sound of this mouse, reminds me of someone thumping on a dentist dam; no sharp clicking...but you can still hear it. This is so large though, and I don't have small hands either, it makes my hand and fingers cramp. Main problem is that only my little finger hangs off the side. Been using this for 3 weeks now, about 10' a day w/o a problem. Nice, long cord. The DPI light goes off when the computer is asleep, which is nice since mine likes to turn itself on even though the lid is closed. I can glace over from watching TV and see the pinhead size dot light on and re-open and close my laptop's lid. Wish they made a noiseless mouse in a compact size.UPDATE: I just bought the AZZOR EAGLE 2.4G Soundless Rechargeable Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse as a replacement for this (the buttons kept getting harder and harder to make register) and I LOVE IT. Its buttons are truly silent. No thumping sound when you press a key. I was worried about the pulsating blue light bothering me, but you can turn it off. 3Saved our relationship This product saved my relationship. Many nights I would be kept awake by the clicking of my boyfriend's mouse as he played computer games. Now he can play next to me in the bed and I no longer hear the constant clicking. Thankfully I found this product before I ended up throwing his laptop out the window. He has said that it is fast enough for gaming and sensitive enough for complicated maneuvers.I know most folks like the wireless models but he says the quietness is well worth dealing with the cord.Happy wife, happy life. 5A very quiet mouse! There is no such thing as a truly silent mouse, but this one is very close! The good:- Left/right buttons are very quiet.- Side buttons are very quiet.- Scroll wheel is very smooth and mostly quiet when scrolling and clicking.- Three DPI settings.- The mouse glides smoothly on my cloth mouse pad.- The cursor is stable when I pick up the mouse and move it.- Wired, so I never need to think about batteries.- It's very lightweight.- It fits my hand perfectly! The bad:- Sometimes, lifting your fingers off the left/right buttons causes them to stick to your fingers and comes down with a very irritating rattle. This could be a problem for people using moisturizers or folks with sweaty fingers.- DPI selection is done with a single button instead of two.- The scroll wheel is noisier if you only lightly use your fingertip, which is what I normally do. To scroll more quietly, I need to use more of my finger's surface area and a little more pressure when scrolling.- The cable feels very cheap and flimsy, but it hasn't been an issue so far.For gaming:If you do not need to change your DPI setting during gameplay, I would say this mouse is acceptable for gaming. It doesn't lag, it glides well on my cloth mouse pad, it's very quiet, and it's lightweight so it won't fatigue your hand/wrist.In games where I need to change DPI settings during gameplay, to switch between speed (high DPI) and accuracy (low DPI), I need individual DPI setting buttons. I don't want to have to think about the number of times I've clicked a DPI button, then move my mouse a bit to confirm I've reached the right setting.Compared to a Logitech M220:- This mouse is made for right-handed use. The M220 is ambidextrous.- Left/right buttons on this JSCO are more quiet. They do have a slightly higher pitched click, but they are less audible (to my ears) than the M220.- Scrolling and clicking the scroll wheel is WAY more quiet on the JSCO than the M220.- This JSCO has two side buttons, the M220 does not.- This JSCO is wired, the M220 is wireless.Overall:This mouse is my current favorite silent mouse! I use it for gaming, web browsing, and development. I'm afraid to travel with it, due to the flimsy cable, but it's great for stationary/desk use. 5quiet as advertised QUIETAs advertised, the mouse is absolutely quiet -- with possible exception for the surface you are using it on. If you are using a smooth desk surface instead of a mousepad, you will hear gentle scraping noises as you slide around because the bottom surface has 4 small sliding surfaces (at the 'corners' of the device), rather than 2-3 large smooth surfaces. Soft mouse pad recommended for truly quiet function.SIZE/SHAPEThe size is somewhat small for the shape, forcing you to claw-grip what might be otherwise intended as an ergonomic palm-grip for smaller hands.DURABILITYI cannot comment yet on long-term durability but will update this review as needed. // Update 06/12/2019 -- mouse thumb button (button 4) finally broke after 2.5 years. 5I love this mouse I love this mouse, 5 stars all the way. Simple plug n play with back and forward buttons, a scroll wheel with button function, and on the fly cursor speed adjustment. Super quiet yet positive button action. I'm a light gamer and used this mouse on WOW and Resident Evil from Steam, works great. I do use my computer daily for work and recreation. The only downside of this mouse is that it only lasts for 18-30 months. 18-30 months of daily use from 4-16hours at a time. At some point you start getting odd errors and lockups during startup. This is my 3rd JSCO quiet mouse and the previous two failed the exact same way; the forward button breaks. The quick fix is to open the mouse and remove the broken portion of the forward button. You loose the button but everything else still works. The "downside", to me, is expected and is due completely to wear from heavy use. The first two I bought at higher prices when this was still a new design. I'll keep buying them until something better comes along. 5small problems that add up to (an ok) mouse Good: quiet(er) buttons - more like a 'tock' than a 'click'...Bad: Side plastic slippery. Not programmable, so have to try hard to avoid the back button - making it even more uncomfortable. Ergonomic, but not for larger hands. Light does not go off - must unplug after computer shut down. Intense red light seeps through everywhere! Wish I hadn't tossed the box :(--Update. was going on a wild goose chase trying to find another mouse that's quiet, dark, regular sized... other features that include being able to change the DPI/etc as nice to haves... Gave up and just opened this up... used electrical tape to cover the LED for the DPI settings switch and the main laser. removed the side buttons - so as not to just break internal components. Now, still have to unplug when the system is powered off, but it's quiet and usable... Added back a star for not being too complicated to mod (single screw to open under their white QA sticker). 3Really, Really, Very, Very, Super, Quiet!!! Highly Recommend! Really, Really, Very, Very, Super, Quiet!!! Exactly as the listing claims!I recently got a new laptop. I could never get used to the touch pad mouse on the laptop. So I need to hook up an external mouse.I keep the laptop on a cart next to my bed. Occasionally, I turn on the laptop in the morning before my husband has awoken. The mouse I had was too noisy. This mouse is so quiet... it's perfect! (Only problem is that my keyboard is now louder than the mouse! Such is life!!)In addition to the quiet, the mouse has a very sleek ergonomic design. It glides nicely, and it has some additional buttons and features that I have not yet had an opportunity to figure out.I would have to say that I believe that this is the nicest mouse I have every had!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mouse! 5
