    Whitney is Way Better Than This AlbumI love Whitney Houston. That is why I was quite shocked at how awful this Christmas CD is. She is trying to hard to do every song. I can only believe that this is because of her producer or director. I could only get through about 1/2 of this CD before I couldn't take it any more. She may have been through a lot personally, but her voice sounds rich and strong.The song featuring her daughter is a special gift and mothers will find it touching.It is a traditional album which would be good for playing during tree-decorating, cookie-baking days. Also nice for the car ride at night to look at lights. A little less of a party background CD, because people would listen to the CD instead of talk. But, imagine my surprize when I found out that it in was in 2003! Well, after reading some of the other reviews, I guess the people who've trashed this wonderful album are the same ones who've trashed her 'I Iook to you' CD. Well, to those people..I just have to wonder-have you really listened to this album or are you being influenced by the 'TMZ.TWITTer,etc.' I guess negativity rules your world..but, in my UNIVERSE..MS. WHITNEY HOUSTON still somehow has the vocal chops & managed to brush up against the divinity in this album! I LOVE IT! I still can't figure out which song I love the best: Emmanuel, The Christmas Song(chestnut roasting..)or Joy to the World. I guess, I'll just have to listen to this again !!!5A blessing in disguise!!!I played my first CD so much it cracked!! Had to pick it up again! Can't go through Christmas without this gem!!5Past-prime Whitney.If you don't find this to be a great Christmas album, try playing it when you are cleaning up from the party. Given its sparse instrumentation and refreshing vocal style, it manages to breather new life into the tired old Christmas Classics..5
