Customer Reviews

way too light for me otherwise fair for the price i guessI read all the reviews on here before buying these knowing they were cheap sticks but thought they would probably still suit my needs. I was wrong. I have played with many cheap sticks before that were fine but these were not even usable for me. They weigh so little its hard to get any sound out of my cymbals with them. I also ordered wood tip and received plastic tip. I did not return them because I was pressed for time but otherwise would have. Also the tips are shaped very weird in my opinion. Mine were not bent or warped like some peoples reviews claim but the weight for me is a deal breaker. Though I didnt even check the weight in the description before buying so mabey its my own fault.1do not buy theseI should've known by the silly price, and that horrible font they use to write "sticks" on a pair of sticks...they probably left out the C even, to make it more jagged. I scraped it off with my pocket knife so that other musicians wouldn't shun me. I got the feeling people wanted them out of the practice space STAT(um). I got the feeling these sticks bummed people out, and brought down morale just by virtue of existing under a road case. Granted, even non-novelty budget sticks cost $60-$80 these days, but trees are valuable...AND SO IS YOUR SELF-WORTH! In-fact, do not buy musical gear on amazon ever. It will simply ruin your friendships.1You get what you pay for with these...Bought these as back-up practice sticks. They won't get used much. The weight is a bit lighter than other 7A sticks I've played. Several in the pack (so far) have begun doing the "warp, bend" routine that happens with cheap sticks. They leave marks on the heads much more prevalent than good solid hickory sticks, and tend to mar the drum head surfaces more than expected. They seem a little "fatter" than typical 7As (not to the point of a 5B, but still, not the thinner 7A feel either). All in all, even at 2 bucks a pair, I wouldn't buy them again. Maybe if you're a "rising superstar" and you just want to autograph these and throw them into the mosh pit on Friday night after your rockin' live set ends, they may have value for you. Otherwise, find a better pair...even if the cost is higher.2Info on these sticksI am always looking for a cheap alternate stick to the premium sticks and their prices.Being a professional local drummer you have to balance the budget and find what works for you.I have been using the Sound Percussion 2B sticks Guitar Center carries. Not a bad stick for $5 a pair.Bought these but found a couple problems with them.First the SP sticks are 16 3/8 inches longThese OS sticks are 15 7/8 inches long.I found myself at the end of the stick wanting more to grip thus feeling like the sticks we're too short.I know it's not a lot of length difference but it was enough to feel awkward to me.I can say I have found a place for them though.A: They work good on my electric kits as they are lighter 2b sticks than the SP sticks and the shorter length does not bother me as much on the E Kits with less impact feel than the heaver sticks.B: They are a great cheap throw out stick. We play a lot of festivals and fans love when you toss sticks.Keeping my better sticks and having these as a toss away works for me.Hope this helps fellow drummers with a bit more info on these sticks.3Not for The Heavy-HitterThese sticks are reasonably priced, but... they are very soft, and dent really easily. Especially if you play to use rim-shots. I didn't break one, but, I stopped using them because they looked like they would break... soon. I thought I would give these a try to see what they were like. I normally use GoodWood Hickory 5B, and they can really take a beating... haven't broke one yet, and they don't dent very easily.1VERY ANGRY!!!!!! It said 12 pairI AM VERY UPSet!!! The description said 12 pair! I ordered 2 sets of the 12 pair expecting 24 pair. Yes, I thought it was a great deal, but I am using them for general music classes and needed a good deal. I received 2 PAIR!! If it was $24.99 for 1 pair I would NEVER had ordered at that price! That would have cost me $599.76 just for drumsticks for my classes. If it is only 1 pair you need to remove the comment of 12 pair!!!! I DO NOT WANT THESE at this price!!!I have let several teachers and my principal see your ad they say that it leads them to assume that I would be getting 24 pair!1Great buy, good feel. This is a really good bulk purchase for anyone who isn t extremely picky about what kind of sticks they use. The ones I ordered were 5A, they were very light weight, so I didn t feel guilty about getting really into the jam and contacting the head a little too hard. Each pair lasts me between a month to 3 months depending on what I play & how often I play. I ve been playing a lot of percussion oriented grooves lately I.E stick clicks, rim shots. These sticks don t hold up too well when you beat them on the hoops more than a few times. But a great buy for a beginner to intermediate level player. I will be ordering these again4Forget this. Go try and buy instead.Although this is a decent amount of sticks for the price, you're not getting anything better than a discount brick of unbranded sticks from your local music chain. They arrived today, and immediately I noticed how much fatter they are than my normal 5Bs, by almost 2mm. There's no way I'll try my younger students with them.I also noticed the finish is very random, some much smoother than others. Usually I rub my sticks with paraffin for enhanced grip so it's not a huge deal for me.Finally, I had to manually go through the pairs to find matching sets on my own, because they are not properly matched with the sections of wood used and won't evenly balance out. You'll notice from the wood grain pattern. They are not consistently weighted, either. I will need to use my jewelry scale to make (closest to) perfect pairs.Combined with the very cheezy logo and cheap screen printing (leaks and smudges everywhere, sometimes not even near the logo), and you're left with a product that if I saw in a store, I would definitely not even bother with.I really recommend going to the store to buy sticks. I've been burned VERY OFTEN, no matter what brand.I've gone to stores and they've tried to sell me Vic Firths and Zildjians that were NOT matched, even by length (which shows you that no matter how reliable the brand, defects pass through, or sometimes people in the store just mix things up), so try them before you buy, ALWAYS.2Little faster than a 5B, but didn't cause any troubleAs you can see in the photo, this stick is the one pictured on the bottom, and a Vic Firth 5B on the top, and is bigger in diameter than a 5B. It's really not a bad feeling stick. It seems light, which might mean that they are probably not going to last as long on an acoustic set. I used them on a digital set and had no problems. But guessing they "might" not last as long on an an acoustic set, with standard cymbals, rimshots and using the ride cymbal. But so far, they felt ok and where easy to use.3Very surprised after reading the other reviews! While these sticks are "budget cheap" sticks, I have to say they exceeded my expectations by a long shot! They are real light as others have said, but I really didn't have the issues with them breaking like many others have stated. I'd consider myself a medium power player. I don't bash my drums. All I can think is these people must not play with any dynamics what so ever if they are breaking as fast as they claim!!! I maybe had a stick or two out of 24 that I thought could of lasted a bit longer, but for their weight and price- they're great! Though they are no vic firths, or other sticks that run 8 to 16 dollars a pair, they are a steal for the price! You just can't compare these in that kind of league! That's like buying a pinto and complaining it's not as good as a corvette!!! Lol.... if your a "basher", then maybe spend a few more bucks and go the more sturdy route. I think an average attack drummer who likes lighter sticks will be surprised! I am reviewing the wood tips by the way! The last "budget" plastic tips I bought, I can't say the same about! The tips shot off before the sticks had a chance to break! Anyways, these ones have been surprising for me personally! They've held up through a few 4-hour gigs already and I haven't went through but a couple pair!5
