    Too thick for macrame. I have never worked with rope for macrame and I figured this would be enough to create a huge piece but it was not. The cord is great and very thick but was far too thick for what i wanted to create which was my fault. I was unaware of what size rope to get and the length. I think this rope would be good for hanging plants or very very large macrame wall pieces but for a wall piece you d need three or four bundles of this product. Still very sturdy and easy to work with. 4I would prefer cotton but i could not find it I went to different craft stores looking for macram cord. AC Moore has this 6mm 100-yard big ball but they did not have the color I wanted. I got this Pearl/Beige color here on Amazon to do my curtain/divider project. I purchase a curtain rod before starting the project and started knotting away. I would love it if they had a 100% cotton option as well as this synthetic cord. That is why I am taking off one star. Some people like synthetic and some people like natural fibers. Bonnie was a good alternative since I could not find cotton cord. 4Perfect for my projects Really like using this cord for macrame and the fact that it's polyester makes it easier to undo knots if you make any errors. My only complaint is that the flesh/cream color doesn't quite look like the product photo--there is a pinkish hue to it. Overall very happy. 4I absolutely loved working with this I absolutely loved working with this! It was my first time doing macrame, and this rope is so easy to work with. It's just the right thickness (about the size of a thin Crayola marker), and the color was perfect for our wedding arch! :) 5Best cord for macrame This is the best cord to use for macrame projects. I love all the different colors in it. This is also a fair amount of cord. I used quite a lot for my plant hanger and still have much left for another project. 5Why spend money on giftwrap ribbon when you can use thick Macram Craft Cord creatively? You can pull out yards and yards of Macram Craft Cord . . . even wrap it three (3) or more times around a Christmas, birthday, or shower gift . . . and add additional colors! Of course the green and red cords are perfect for big Christmas presents. Blue and gold and white give a nautical aura to summertime gifts. Think cream, white, and metallic for wedding showers. 5Was hoping to receive circular cord, but it was ... Was hoping to receive circular cord, but it was flat. Works for craft work, but would have looked more symmetrical had it been circular. Did not know that before purchasing it, or would have looked for a different material. 3I love this cord! That being said, it works. 4A review from a magician, surprisingly Following a tip by the son of George Sands at a seminar, I looked for macrame craft rope as a low-cost alternative to expensive "Magician's" rope.This stuff rocks.It cuts clean, it bundles nicely, and the ends don't droop down when you hold it a few inches down from the tops.One thing to be aware of: If you bundle your ropes in bulk before a show, there's some 'kinkage' issues where the rope won't appear to be all that smooth. But, if you're doing a cut-and-restore rope routine (as I do, four shows a day), that little quibble is more than compensated for by the ease of handling and the cost. 4
