seems already stretched out!As a few other buyers stated, it seems like my spool of Stretch Magic doesn't have the stretch that I have always gotten from this product before. It's as if it is already too stretched out or something. When I cut the cord from the spool and then stretch it out just a bit before beginning to thread my beads, the cord ends up a few INCHES longer than what I cut from the spool and loses much of its stretch. I am VERY disappointed with this purchase, and I guess I'll have to go back to buying the smaller spools of this cord from Michael's.1Tricked!This is my second time purchasing this item and this tine I was very disappointed!! I purchased it in July and started using it about a weekn now and I realized the sting ended but there was still more in the roll.. I paid it no attention.. Then when I went to use it again I realized it was a smalled string!!! I was soo not expecting this! So pretty much they wraped the size I ordered on the outside and the rest of the roll was a smaller string! 2Amazing Quality!First let me start off by saying that I hate using Stretch Magic. I normally use Bead n Stretch .7mm because its a much sturdier string; while still being thin, that has never snapped on me versus stretch magic .7mm feels very thin and has snapped on me before. While looking for a large roll of Bead n Stretch (which they dont make btw) I stumbled across Stretch Magic 1mm. Before dismissing it I thought that perhaps if I went up a size it might make up for the quality of Bead n Stretch and still be a steal of a deal. Oh how right I was! While the 1mm is obviously thicker the quality is great! There is no way that this string is going to snap or break; no matter how much it stretches or how much abuse my kandi is going to go though! I was worried about the limitations of beads that I would be able to place on this but its really not a big issue AND its 100 Meters! Stretch Magic has changed the way I feel about their string and I will be gladly placing more orders for the 1mm.5The best stuff I have ever usedI discovered stretch magic almost 18yrs ago, it is my favorite stretch elastic to use. Very durable, I have had some bracelets I made with it last over 15yrs, which is pretty impressive as most elastics degrade over time. For the yardage I received with this purchase, it is a great price. A normal size (in store) of about 15yrds usually runs about $4.99.5The best, hands downThe best, hands down, stretch elastic I have found. Good price for such a nice spool, I will continue to re order as needed. I only use one strand of elastic per bracelet, have had no problems with it breaking down. Be sure to stretch it good before stringing your beads. LOVE IT!5this is great quality cordOkay.. this is great quality cord. With that said, I don't use cover up beads in my jewelry. I think it looks tacky. I use the existing beads then tuck and glue the knot in my cord. Unfortunately this stuff is so thick, I can't get it to slide up inside any of my beads once knotted. I've used it for a few personal quickie bracelets, but I would not recommend for processional items.4A fan of stretch magic!I have spent the cold winter nights designing elastic beaded bracelets. I think the company is really good, however, it is a bit difficult to hide the knots. You can hide them under various caps but it is a bit tricky. The .7 gave me a bit more flexibility as the knots can be smaller. So far, both elastic sizes have held up, so I am really happy. I use a bit of a super glue product on the end but be really careful. You can easily glue your fingers!! Not a good idea for kids to use.4An industry standard for a reasonStretch Magic is a wonderful standard for bracelet making. The best part of this cord is that it makes bracelets easy to put on and when properly sized, keeps bracelets from turning on the wrist because one side is heavier. To me, as a designer, this is key. I truly hate when the focal bead of a bracelet falls to the bottom of the wrist simply because it's heavier. The men I've spoken to also find the clean design more comfortable than having leather strands fluttering around their wrists. This is one reason I've changed almost exclusively to elastic designs. I hide the glued knot inside a large holed silver or gold bead and the finish is professional. This cord is perfectly stretchy and one strand is strong enough to do the job. It doesn't require a needle as it is hard enough to be self threading. Some people have stated that their knots come unraveled but here is the trick: you must pull the first knot very tight. Then, holding it tight, create the second knot, keeping the pressure on the entire time. Then, carefully keep pulling the strands until it can't pull anymore (without breaking). With a few tries, you will get the 'feel' for how tight the cord can be pulled without breaking. You will be surprised by how much cord will pull out of the bracelet during this step. Snip the cord and GLUE the knot with transparent glue. Your knot will never come apart and the bracelet with feel hefty and strong.5Really, Really cool string to getI like stringing beads, particularly when I get one that I don't like so much; I just string it how I want. I took a chance getting this transparent, syntheticy, silicony, type string, and I tried stretching it to death and the damn thing won't burst. Oh gosh, just get it. I got it just because it was trasparent, and elastic, but was more satisfied when it came.5PerfectThis is the best string for making Kandi Cuffs. Stretchy, but doesn't break easily, and also stays in a knot when you tie it.5
