Essentially every 8-bit design needs a black outline so you might as well by 6000. 5Don't buy the Minion Perler Bead kits! Just stock up on Yellow, and get a multi-pack of the other colors (or build your stock of colors like I did). This works with Superman patterns too. I usually get 6000 of the primary colors (red, blue, yellow) and values (white & black). It's easy to think "oh, I'll NEVER use that many beads". This kind of thinking is both wrong and stupid. What's the matter with you?just kidding.It's been said that you can never have too much of a great thing. While I don't specifically believe that (Lobster every night would still get gross after a while), I do believe in being prepared. I'd much rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. Also, seeing 6,000 of any one thing is wicked satisfying!!!If you're thinking about buying this product, DO IT!!! come on, you know you wanna... 5Countless hours of making Stuff with these. Potato Chips all over again. 5Awesome amount of beads for a color that gets used a lot! Nice great big re-fill count bag to refill our buckets of Perler Beads. My boys definitely use some colors more than others. Black gets used in almost every Perler project they do. To have a 6000 count bag of "black" only is a great way to buy replacement beads for black. This bag will keep our buckets in "black" beads for quite some time. 5Great Deal! It's was impossible to find beads of this quantity at my local crafts stores. Must buy! It's a great deal for the 6,000 pack. 5Great set for the price! This is our first perler set and we love it. We have made at least 7 Minions and still the bin is over half full. This is a great bargain for a craft set. The set comes with instructions for making the Minions and three small boards. We do not have an iron but we heat up our cast iron skillets which do the trick quite nicely. I would recommend this set since it comes with a ton of beads, three boards, and an idea card. We love it!! My 9 year old can make them by himself but the three year old does not have the coordination to place the beads on the board. 5Great Buy When making perler bead items having name brand material is a must. We now have a million minion coasters in the house. ** TIP: I learned I only like 'brand name' fuses beads, either Perler or Hama, as the unbranded beads found cheaply of Amazon or eBay are inconsistent in length and melt too easily. Same goes for the PEG boards. I bought some $1 boards, and the pegs melted into the creations when I fused them. 5Always need more of these I'm always in need of black, this massive 6000 bag was perfect to help me finish up a few projects. They melt just as good as all the other peeler beads I have 5nice arrived at earlier than expected and its awesome i use black perler beads alot for my outlines of characters i make 5
