    Great baby yarnI love this yarn, overall. It is super soft and works up really nicely. I wish that they would make it a center-pull ball, however. You end up pulling half of it out of the middle when you try and then you spend 20 minutes detangling. The color is really pretty, though. I plan on making my son a baby blanket with it. The color could go either way, too. Boy or girl. 4Good Coloration, Bad TwistThe yarn is soft enough. What I like most about it are the muted colors. It looks beautiful when made into an item. What I DON'T like about it is the openness of the twist on the yarn. It pulls from the skein nicely, but in crocheting the yarn far too frequently separates in hook capture or drawing through the loop. 3Yarn happyThis color is beautiful however is now hard to find. I originally purchased it at Michael's a year ago however they quit carrying the deep sky-blue color. In fact it seems many other major craft box stores stop carrying it also so I was delighted that I could get it thru Amazon. It arrived on time and this lot matched perfectly with my existing lot. It is easy to work with and the end product is soft to the touch not scratchy and has a nice sheen to it. I made a baby blanket for my new second grandson born 10/3/18 with it. I also used white and a navy blue that I was able to find in the box store. 5Love this yarn!Awesome yarn! Both the white and pink yarn in this photo is by Red Heart Soft Baby Steps! 5No Center Pull & Yarn SplitsThis yarn is soft, and at the time I purchased it, it was a great value for the color I wanted. I crocheted a blanket. I did find the yarn snagged easily and separated. I would imagine it would be worse if you knit with it. There was no way to find a center pull, and it was time consuming to unwind it. I alternated with a color from another brand, which had an easy to find strand to pull from the center. I don't know if I would buy this specific yarn again. Red Heart usually has good products, but this was a disappointment. 3i have purchased red heart yarn for years and years ...i have purchased red heart yarn for years and yearsbut this skein was wack not only did it have a tie together spacebut it also had a random 20 inch piece of yarn that wasn't attached to either end where it wasso there was another space that had to be tied by mei needed the yarn to finish a blanket and would have rather not had to have so many breaks in the yarn 2Nice and softI purchased this yarn for the first time off Amazon to use in a baby afghan project. The color is as shown. The feel of the yarn does not disappoint. It is nice and soft for a baby and will be a nice addition to my "go-to yarns". I have never tried Soft Baby Steps and I have not seen it at my local store. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys crocheting baby afghans and is looking for a relatively easy yarn to use. I had no issues with threading or catching/splitting on my hook. None of the yarn came out in a knot from the roll (which I find to be the case in a lot of RH yarns). 5Yarn was full of knotsUndoubtedly the worst skeins of yarn I've ever used. I've used this brand in the past and been satisfied. I purchased a total of 4 different skeins of different colors and all were full of knots and stretches where the yarn was not wound properly. This really caused me a lot of problems with my crochet project. Had to keep cutting out the bad portions and redoing rows. Not sure what happened in the manufacture, but will not buy this brand again. 1Completed projectYarn was a pleasure to work with and washed perfectly 5Great Color with some silky sheen and just oh so ...You will want to snuggle up in whatever you make with this yarn. Great Color with some silky sheen and just oh so soft. It does have some fuzz stuck along the thread sometimes or a little not where the yarn had to be attached but usually only one per ball of yarn. 5
