Customer Reviews

Great snare head My favorite snare head! Gives you perfect amount of attack and minimal ring. If you want an even fatter sound add the m-80 flap attachment. Sounds killer !5Great Snare head!Very Good quality, I use it as my snare head. It takes the abuse and sounds excellent! I have been using REMO for decades now, and although I am certainly not disappointed, I have been considering experimenting with other brands, just to see if there's that much of a difference. Still, you won't go wrong with this drum head, although I only like how coated heads sound on snare drums. Personal preference I suppose.5Probably one of the best if not the best snare head you can buy.Remo makes excellent products this is probably one of the best if not the best snare head you can buy love the reverse black dot for control my daughter loves it also on her new drum set really helps her dial-in her snare drum and rimshots a must for any beginner drummer or pro at that. Great sounding and playability .5I think I have a new favorite beater headI've always stuck to the Ambassadors due to the overwhelming positive feedback I get on them. Every drummer says Ambassador coated, the same way they all say SM57 mic for snare. When I busted through the beater head on my pulse piccolo I decided to try something different. I'm glad I did, this snare head is incredible. The black dot in the center perfectly translates every nuance of stick into a powerful downward force of air, striking the snare stronge and squarely in the middle. The result is that in spite of it's thickness, it's incredibly supple and sensitive.Never before have I found a beater head that could stand up to rock hits, AND has the suppleness to do brush work and subtle accent rolls in jazz and funk music. It's a jack of all trades and master of most. I really can't find any negatives other than the price.5Loving the snare drum headGreat deal. Nice tight sound. No muffling needed. if you're looking for that tight muffled sound that cuts through on a rock song this is the drum head. It is a little bit muffled but that's the sound I was going for I like the way that it's tight durable and cuts through the music.5This head CRACKS HARD and will cut thru anything!def recommend. This head sounds great with any level of tuning, but sounds the best tuned high! If you're looking for a head that cracks, this is it. & The reversed black dot gives it a short sustain. it'll cut thru anything, it'll get in and get out the way real quick! The head can obvi be used in anything style of music, but would be best used for any type of rock music and hip hop!!!5Favorite Snare Drum HeadI m not a drummer by any means but as a musician I know A LOT of drumsets have this head, I ve seen how long they last and how great they sound and when it was time to put a new head on my snare-drum, I ordered this of amazon, i think theres a few different versions of this head, cause I ve seen different ones in different sets, but all of them sound great. Mine was easy to put on and tune, and after a year I still havent had any problems with it, the coating is still there, the tone is stoll great, its still in tune and if i ever decide to change it Ill get it again.5What I used in the 70s and has that classic studio sound--live!Add THIS to 6 1/2 by 14 Ludwig Supraphonic 401 with a diplomat snare side. HoooYeahhhh! What I used in the 70s and has that classic studio sound live. Terrific!!! Fat and Slap Happy!!TIP: Install it and crank it down tight for a few days then loosen it and re-tune. (Not like the modern Evans 360 sound control heads that you can install and go but OHHHH what a sound-- I've used both.)5Remo Black Dot Sound Control. You'll never forget where to beat your drum again!Remo with Sound Control. Nice step up from cheap heads. I bought a starter set for cheap. You know the kind. Comes with drums and all the metal for a couple of bucks. These heads were perfect for the 'improvement' project like the one I have, but you'll love them in any replacement scenario. Remo. A name you know you can trust.5A killer batter-side snare headI ve been partial to Remo drumheads for awhile now and as far as their snare heads go this one my favorite. I play a relatively small snare drum (10 ) and it took some mixing and matching but I finally settled on a hazy ambassador snare side head with this bad boy on the batter side and I m very pleased with the sound of my snare now. Don t even need to muffle it with an e-ring or gels. It s really all a matter of personal preference, but I would recommend this head as a rock solid choice to any drummer.5
